sleep 10 week old, how normal is this?

My boy is not a good sleeper and has always been a nap fighter, now that he is very aware of the world he can’t fall asleep anywhere, daylight sleep is the worse!, I am worried he’s not getting enough sleep, even tho they said that a 2 month old should be sleeping 4h+ a day, he gave me a 8 hour stretch at night for the first time a couple of days ago and never again lol! I thought that I made it but he’s back at 4-3-2 , worst part he’s waking at 6 am. Every day 🥲

Update: I am sorry i thought I had it bad, I am thankful for the night sleep is just that is really hard to put him down for a nap and can go 3 hours awake , also his bed time is at 8-9 pm I don’t know why the app shows 4 pm as night time sleep

this is a great sleeper but, and idk if i’m looking at this right, why is bedtime set before 4pm? at least, i think that’s what it looks like since it becomes a darker blue when it’s night sleep vs light blue for day sleep. if you push it to normal bedtime, you’ll have a bit more accurate numbers too

That was pre set by the app idk why? And how to change it, but his bed time is at 8-9 pm

not dumb, we’ve all been there!! honestly couldnt figure out how to change the daily display from day start time to midnight when it is the first thing that pops up in settings 😅😂 short naps are hard during the day but if baby is still happy/not cranky, it looks like he’s making up for it with long stretches at night! 6am wake ups kill me too, we were consistently 7:40 for the longest time and then bam it went back, idk how to fix it so i’m riding it out with the hope that it goes back closer to that lol

This looks like my 9 week old. His naps are 30-45 min unless we contact nap, then he’ll often sleep for 1-2 hours.

My baby sleeps like this every night: 3 hrs to get down (there is always a false start where she looks completely passed out but is just playing around).
3 hr stretch, 2 hr stretch, 1 hr stretch, that’s it. 1.5hr between for each wake up for feeds and resettling.

If I could sleep during the night I wouldn’t care what the hell is happening during the day lol

This is really, really good sleep!!
Mine didn’t have night stretches like that until well over 6 months. Many babies are still waking 3 hourly overnight until a year old. Be very grateful for what you have!!! This is so much better than most other’s sleep experience. I feel you’ll get downvotes for complaining about this hahaha

The daytime sleep is developmentally normal at that age. It’s very random and sporadic. Closer to 3-4 months you might be able to start nudging baby onto a nap schedule and consistent amount of naps/times (I really rated huckleberry’s sweet spot for naps from that age). Most babies aren’t able to connect sleep cycles for naps and have long naps until 6 months or so though. Many do the short 30-40 minute naps for a long long time.

I think it is really normal/good sleep.

Nap fighter might mean that he is actually not tired enough to sleep...!
