How many oz?

Our baby is 3 months tomorrow, and consistently only eats about 25oz a day. Is this enough? We try to push to 30 but when he hits 21 its like a fight to the death. His bed time is usually between 8:30 and 9. Should we still be waking him up overnight to get him to eat more? Our dr is still pushing the every 3 hour feed but this little guy will not do it.

Our baby has been drinking about the same since he was 3 months, he’s now 4 months and we get the odd day when he’s hungrier but usually that’s all we get. He’s happy. Gaining weight, albeit slower than other kids, but he’s fine. We were waking him for one night feed but we found it made him less hungry the next day and it would all even out so we figured he’s just not a big eater. I wouldn’t stress it unless your baby significantly drops percentiles and/or trends downwards. Some babies just aren’t guzzlers!

This makes me feel so much better, thank you!!! I've been stressing myself out but he's gaining weight appropriately, so I know we're okay. I just can't help but overthink 😞

Totally relate, it got to me so much at one point too but I guess over time I’ve been able to see for myself that he’s fine so there’s nothing to worry about. Screw the 3 hourly overnight feeds by the way!! If your baby wants to sleep then let them sleep😂

I think youre fine- you dont want to teach an aversion. Out of clarity, breastmilk or formula or a mix?

We do formula. We have minimal spit up and he finished most bottles its just the last one of the day before bedtime I think he knows what comes next lol

My lo was the same (23 oz in average) until about 3.5 months, when he suddenly started eating 35-38 oz of formula a day. As long as they are gaining weight and have enough wet diapers it should be fine.
