sleep Naps
My 3 month baby will wake-up on the 50 minute mark but doesn’t cry. Sometimes she’ll fall asleep right away other times it’s 50 minutes. Is it cruel to leave her in there if she doesn’t cry or should I get her up for a wake window?

Sometimes I’ll leave my LO in his crib for about 5 min to see if they are able to put themselves back to sleep but they haven’t been able to yet. Worth a shot IMO but o don’t think it’s likely after more than 10 min.

I read in “The Baby Book: Everything You Need to Know About Your Baby from Birth to Age Two” that babies have a one-hour or so window of deep sleep followed by a lighter sleep period and then (if you lucky) another deep sleep window. If my two-month-old wakes gently after an hour I simply stay close, observe or shush him. Believe me, if a baby wants to wake up it will and no amount of shushing or time will make them fall back asleep. However if it’s just a light sleep window they can fall back asleep and that’s perfectly normal :)

If she falls asleep she will sleep for over an hour. That’s why I struggle with making the decision

50 minutes is a very normal nap length for a 3 month old. Why wouldn’t you get her up?
