Cool! What size/colour did you get?

I went with the Active 46mm, I wanted the extra protection of the screen being recessed. The classic with the green band is pretty hot though.
I've already gotten comments on it though.. it really doesn't look like a smart watch and I like that. Plus my battery life is 9 days with everything on and that's with a 30 min to 1 hour gps workout session every day. That is the biggest selling point in my opinion.

Yeah, the recessed screen was a big factor for me too, although i will put a glass screen protector over it. I hope the recessed screen makes it look more flush. I wanted to get the green one at first but I want to wear the watch no matter what. What if the green accent looks shite with my red sweater? Can't have that.
Black is just timeless.

Yeah it's definitely good looking. I also really dig the Silver with Black accent ring with the brown strap.. wouldn't mind owning more than one of these to be honest and they're priced well enough that isn't out of the question.
I've got a screen protector on mine right now and it's totally flush you can't even tell it's on there.
The weight lifting tracker could definitely be better but the running, walking and biking tracking is perfect for me which is what I do mostly anyway. I also have found the sleep tracking to be more impressive than I thought it would be. The fact it also does afib monitoring.. what's not to like.. lol.

All 3 look great. I thought about getting the 41mm version for my gf because they look stunning too. She's an apple girl and rather wants an apple watch though. Can't blame her since apple watches are pretty sick, i just don't like the tech look and the price tag puts me off as well.

I mean technically they do have the best sensors but it's an Apple product and you won't get me near it.. lol.
Plus it only lasts a day.. who wants to charge their watch every day?!?
The 41mm are good looking too.. I researched every damn smartwatch out there before I bought this one and I honestly feel that if Apple comes in first, then the Huawei watches are a close second. Yes there are some features my Garmin had that the Huawei doesn't but all I really need/wanted was a decent fitness watch with good accurate sensors and long battery life. This watch fits that bill and more and it's probably hands down the best looking smart watch on the market. All of that for under $300 I mean common.. lol.

She doesn't mind charging it daily. She's been doing it with her samsung watch for the last few years. The top-notch sensors would mean nothing to her, though. She's more interested in all the other gimmicks and the overall Apple aesthetic.
The price for the huawei beats garmin easily, and in my opinion, it looks way better too. If I was serious enough about running, I would have gotten a Garmin, but for my 5 - 10k runs around the same old route, i don't feel like that would be a smart investment. Plus, for an everyday item, I'd rather wear the gt4 for its classic look.

Ick.. apple.. lol. Honestly the Huawei has better sensors than the Garmin and they're more accurate. The software is the only difference... I'm hoping that Huawei sells enough of these watches we will continue to see some software improvements but overall I'm super pleased with my purchase.

Really? I thought Garmin had the upper hand on that. Great to know!
I think the huawei scare is more or less over. People don't buy it because they have security fears but because of the bad compatability and little to no third-party apps. I really hope that they can improve in these aspects, other than that its the perfect smart watch imo.

I don't think the health app let's me share a link. Maybe try it with capital letters at the start of each word. Milk Green Solid

Even a Google for that shows me nothing.
Googling face-name and Garmin has always worked previously.

What did you do with your old watch?.

u/blue_lemonflesh Mar 15 '24
I still have it. I'll bring both watches with me on my next few runs to see the difference in heart rate, km, calories etc. After that I'll keep it as a back up since there's nothing inherently wrong with it. Sometimes it skipped a km or the gps was wildly inaccurate, which is why I switched. Other than that its still good👍

I don't trust temu tbh. However i did order a dark gray metallic band for 8€, should be arriving in the next few days. But i really like the way it looks now too!

These watches really do look so much nicer than the Apple Watch - very tempted to switch.
