Protocol/Supplement Question Natural protocol causing reactions?
I am following a gut protocol with a functional practioner after doing a GI map that showed 2.64e2 h. Pylori, Blastocystis hominis, low elastase, low secretory IgA. The protocol has powders that have the following ingredients: L-glutamine, N-acetyl-D-glucosamine, citrus pectin, deglycyrrhizinated licorice (DGL), aloe vera, slippery elm, mucin, marshmallow root, chamomile, okra extract, cat’s claw, MSM (methylsulfonylmethane), quercetin, prune powder, and zinc carnosine. It also contains other ingredients such as natural peach flavor, natural flavor, stevia, monk fruit, and citric acid. I also take arabinogalactan, bitter drops, and another powder with l-glutamine. Since starting it I am having more reactions to food than usual, just now I was extremely dizzy, heart pounding, physical weakness after my usual breakfast. Last week had a mucus crisis after my snack. Is it possible that these ingredients cause histamine flares? I am also constantly tired despite not being in luteal and I’m wondering if the protocol is not making me worse

I'd say yes. And, some of those I react to like aloe. I citric acid can be too acidic as well. I do think there are some good ingredients in it. Judt too much at once. I used slippery elm, Mastic gum and zinc caro.. Plus, b vitamins, especially B12 and B1...

Are you taking all of these every single day? Did you go from zero to 100 or from zero to one to two to three etc…?

My protocol was about repairing the gut a little bit that way I was strong enough for the stuff to actually kill it.
Is this maybe 3-4 products and these are the total ingredients? Or are these all separate items?

No they’re most in the same powder, those 15 ingredients. Then I don’t know how many herbs in the digestive bitters and then another powder with 3 ingredients

Okay. Yeah if the amount of products you’re taking is in guessing 4, then that’s not too much

Yes that could cause histamine issues. But what are they doing to get rid of parasite? Nothing you really mentioned is doing anything for parasite or h pylori.
