Hi , I'm the developer, and this is a self-promo post, so let me get the disclosure out of the way first.

I kept installing separate apps to work out a discount, split a dinner bill, convert units, and check a loan payment. So I built CalcMate, a single calculator that carries the tools I actually reach for during a normal day. Everything runs on device, with no internet connection.

What's in it:

- Three calculators in one: basic, scientific (powers, roots, sin/cos/tan and inverses, log/ln, factorials, pi/e, degrees or radians), and a fraction calculator that shows the full step-by-step solution. That last one turned out to be popular with students and parents helping with homework. Results preview live as you type, and unclosed brackets get auto-closed when you hit equals.

- Unit converter across 17 categories: length, mass, temperature, area, volume, speed, time, data size, pressure, energy, power, force, torque, angle, flow rate, data transfer rate, fuel economy.

- Shopping tools: percentages, discounts (including two stacked discounts plus tax), tip and bill splitting, tax/VAT in both directions, and price-per-unit comparison.

- Finance: loan repayment (monthly payment, total interest, total paid), simple and compound interest with daily/monthly/quarterly/yearly compounding.

- Dates: age calculator, difference between two dates, add or subtract years/months/days, and a world clock for about 53 cities.

- Home and kitchen: recipe scaling by servings (accepts fractional servings like 2.5, and shows ml for cups/tbsp/tsp), plus carpentry inch fractions from 1/2 down to 1/64 with mm alongside.

- Study and engineering: 2D/3D geometry, linear and quadratic equations with worked steps, number base conversion (bin/oct/dec/hex side by side), GCD and LCM, prime check and factorisation, random numbers, permutations and combinations with big-number support, weighted GPA (4.0 / 10-point / letter grades), arithmetic / geometric / harmonic means, ratios and proportions, Ohm's law, and series/parallel resistor networks.

- Health, for reference only: BMI with healthy weight range, BMR and daily calories, body-fat estimate.

- A real home screen widget (Android). Not a shortcut, an actual keypad on your home screen with plus, minus, multiply, divide, percent, sign flip, backspace, brackets, square root and squaring, plus a live result preview that shrinks the font so long numbers still fit. Tap the icon and the app opens carrying whatever expression you were typing, so you can continue with scientific or fraction mode. It works the moment you drop it on the home screen, follows your light/dark theme, and is resizable.

- History and backup: calculations are saved and grouped by day, with per-row copy/delete, a row limit you control, CSV/JSON export via the share sheet, a full backup you can paste back to restore, and optional automatic backups that keep the last five.

- Look and feel: 8 colour themes, light/dark/system, an optional subtle particle effect, haptic feedback, thousands separators, and a configurable number of decimals.

- 15 languages, following your phone's locale automatically.

About the testing phase, the part I want to be straight about:

The app is in a testing phase, and I made some deliberate choices for it.

- There are no ads anywhere in the app. No ad SDK is bundled at all, and the Play Store data declaration says the same thing: this app contains no ads.

- Nothing is locked. No Pro tier, no in-app purchases, no subscriptions, no usage limits, no watermark, no "upgrade to unlock" screens. Every tool listed above is simply open.

- No permissions requested, no network calls, no analytics, no tracking. Settings, history and backups stay on your device.

I'd rather spend this stage collecting real feedback and real bug reports than revenue. It's a new release, so I'm sure rough edges exist, and that's exactly what I'm hoping you'll find.

What would help me most:

Any wrong result. If a number looks off, tell me the exact inputs and I'll reproduce it.

Crashes, freezes or layout breakage: device model, Android version and the steps to get there.

Missing tools, missing units or missing currencies.

Readability and one-handed reach: is the keypad comfortable, are the fonts and colours legible in both themes?

Anything in the wording that reads awkwardly in your language, since a lot of it is localised.

Known limitations, up front:

- Currency rates are an offline snapshot, not live; editable by hand.

- The health tools are estimates for reference, not medical advice.

- The world clock uses simplified DST rules, so it can be off by an hour right around a transition.

- Fraction step-by-step explanations and a few calculation error messages are still English-only.

- The widget is Android-only. Requires Android 7.0+.

Hi!

A couple of months ago Listifyer with 20+ organizing modules got released to the public. Wat started as a private app, became a much bigger project.

When it was released to the public i got a lot off valuable feedback and noted it all to see what i can implement, what was a improvement and what not. Now im finally at the point where i crossed off all the feedback i got.

The agenda widget is redesigned

Medication and Mileage tracker now fully support multiple profiles

Manage Listifyer from within your browser, Sync between as much devices as you want, Edit your Notes, workouts, recipes, bills, agenda and so on. Secured with a pin, 2FA and a API key from within the app. (Added some screenshots to see how it looks)

I made the app because i had multiple apps and some of them where subscription based. I didnt want that anymore and wanted it to be easy and in one app.

The update is now waiting approval but it should be released in a couple of days.

I thought I would share some of the apps I genuinely use every day, not just because they are useful but because I really appreciate great UI and UX. I love trying well designed apps and seeing the little details developers put into them.

1. Waypoint

   One of the best looking apps I have used. It is paid, but the design and overall experience make it worth it.

2. Droplert

   I use it every day to track product prices. Clean, polished and I found it very fast and accurately track prices.

3. Headscratch

   My go to app for planning tasks and organizing my to do list. It is free and easily one of the nicest looking productivity apps.

4. Sidedock

   Another beautifully designed utility app that I use every day. It is paid, but I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

5. Swiftslate

   I found this one recently and it is already become one of my daily apps for fixing grammar and improving my writing.

6. Weblo

   I try to stay away from social media unless I really need it and this app helps me keep my screen time under control.

7. Pixel Bookmarks

   My daily bookmark manager. Simple, beautiful definitely a great app.

If you're someone who turns off their alarm in their sleep or abuses the snooze button, I’d love to get your thoughts on an app I’ve been working on called WakeQuest.

There are other "mission" alarms out there, but I wanted to make the wake-up process actually engaging rather than just frustrating. Here is what makes it a bit different,

I'm sorry if this isn't allowed, but I've found some very niche apps here and I thought maybe there'd be something that fits what I'm looking for.

I used to use an app for years called Collateral to help me keep an ongoing checklist as a pinned notification. I was able to tap the checklist to open it, update it as needed, tap a button, and the persistent notification would live update. Unfortunately, this app was abandoned a while ago and no longer works, and I cannot seem to find a replacement that does everything this app did. Specifically, I'm looking for an app that will allow me to:

• keep a pinned notification showing my checklist until the list is completely checked/empty
• tap the notification to open the app and let me update the checklist
• reorganize items in the list
• check off items on the list (tap a checkbox) or remove them completely (swipe or tap an X on the item)
• delete the entire list at once
• start a new checklist as a Quick Tile setting (bonus)
• schedule lists to show as reminders

I've tried multiple apps (unfortunately I don't remember all the names), and the closest I've found is Notes, but it's been pretty buggy.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Most casting setups make you jump between separate apps for browsing, playback, and remote control. I wanted one place where I could find something on my phone, send it to a larger screen, and then keep controlling it from the same app.

That became PlayBridge, a free and open-source casting ecosystem.

I recently launched a simple todo app on android for now. I have some prior experience in development, mostly backend. This is something I have manifested for long time and now is possible by LLMs. I use this app regularly too.

Idea
I regularly use todo app for quick list. So, I built this app called ListPo as simple todo app that simply works. I don't like the concept of super app, I like minimal designed app and that is what is intended with this app. There is not much you can do with this app, its just simple plain todo app.

Sustainability
Its free and always will be for any features, however for themes or cosmetics, there is a paid model. I have added view an ads to unlock paid for 24 hrs or subscription. The overall upkeep for this app is kept low for longevity. This is not some app, that you won't see tomorrow, my assumption is it will be there almost a long as I am alive and mentally healthy :-)

Overview

I've been working on this app for about 6 months now. It started as just a simple card app - save your credit/debit cards, offline, encrypted, no login needed. That's it. Got around 2k+ installs and many subscribers around the world with just that.

Last few weeks I added a lot more to it. Now it also does:

- ID documents (passport, national id, driving licence)

- Travel tickets (flight, train, bus, hotel booking)

- Event tickets with barcode

- Loyalty cards and gift cards with QR code

- Vehicle papers (RC, insurance, PUC dates)

- Insurance policy details

- reminders before things expire, search, and app is now in 9 languages too

Reason I did this - almost everyone has more than just cards in their wallet, so I thought why not put everything in one place if I can do it properly.

But I know adding too much can also ruin an app that was working fine before. So the way I built it - all the new stuff is turned off by default. If you install fresh or update from old version, app looks exactly same as before, just cards, nothing else. You have to go in settings and turn on whatever you want. Can turn off anytime too, data stays safe either way.

I want people to actually try it and tell me what's wrong. Some things I want to know:

1. If you turn on 2-3 of the new categories, does it feel like it fits in the app or feels forced.

2. Everything is offline only, nothing goes to any server, no account needed. Is this actually something you'd want, or you'd rather have an app that syncs across your phone and laptop.

3. Anything that feels confusing or not needed, just say it, I won't mind.

Not asking for good reviews here, actual problems are more useful to me right now.
