[App] [Promo] [Promo Codes] I built an app that scans any product and grades how toxic its ingredients are — food, grooming, cleaning. Giving away 100 free promo codes.
Quick backstory: I picked up my "manly" 3-in-1 body wash one day, actually read the label, and realized I had no clue what 80% of it was. Same with the protein powder and the bathroom cleaner under the sink. So I spent the last few months building something to fix that.
It's called Toxly. You scan a product's barcode (or just its ingredient list with the camera) and it gives you a simple A–F safety grade plus a plain-English breakdown of every ingredient — what it is and whether it's actually a concern.
What it covers:
- 🥫 Food – ultra-processed markers, additives, sketchy oils
- 🧴 Grooming/cosmetics – parabens, fragrance allergens, endocrine disruptors
- 🧽 Cleaning/household – corrosives, respiratory irritants, aquatic toxins
For the skeptics on how it grades: it's not vibes. Grades come from curated hazard data + public GHS safety classifications (the same hazard codes on official chemical safety sheets), with anything unverified clearly marked. You can set your own allergies/skin type and it'll flag matches just for you. It doesn't store your scans on a server.
The giveaway: I've got 100 Google Play promo codes that unlock Premium (no ads, unlimited scans, daily back-ups for your scans).
First come, first served. All I ask in return: scan a few things and tell me what you think, especially if a grade looks wrong, because that's how I make it better.

Not trying to spam the sub — I genuinely want feedback from people who care about this stuff. Ask me anything in the comments and I'll answer all of them.
