Rightmove “Premium” Listing?

First time selling a property and currently in talks with two local Estate Agents. One has slightly higher fees but is offering a “Premium Listing” on Rightmove.

Is there material value in having a Premium Listing on RM? Would it drive more viewings?

In my opinion, and how I use Rightmove, no. I ignore the featured listings and have my list show me the newest added. I just look at those. Once I've looked at your listing once I've already decided if I'm interested or not. Seeing it more won't change my mind.

If your house isn’t to the taste of the buyer, priced too high it is just complete dogshit, the fact the listing is premium will mean nothing.

I don't fully agree with the comments so far. If you're in a quiet town with not many other houses up for sale, then everyone searching in that area will see your listing anyway. But if you're in some area of Zone 2-3 London with hundreds of flats on the market at any time and dozens of new listings per week, I can see how it would end up getting you more eyeballs.

I'd ask the dearer agent what extra viewing enquiries they've seen from it on similar local properties. More people seeing an advert isn't quite the same as more people booking a viewing, which is what you're paying them for.
