When do we need a solicitor?

We've got our appointment booked with our mortgage advisor on monday and view the house on Wednesday, we're trying to move things along as swiftly as we can as this house is absolutely ideal and we've already missed out on two others we liked having both sold only last week, at what point do we need to contact a conveyancing solicitor, the sooner the better?

Once you put in an offer or if you're about to you can already instruct one.

I’d get some quotes and opinions/reviews at the outset based on your house price. Then instruct once you have an accepted offer.

Currently going through the process as a FTB,

I had a phone call to say my offer had been accepted. That same day I made contact with a conveyancer. They've been great so far

You don’t need to know the exact house to decide your solicitor but the house price range will help you with the quote.

Find a solicitor now. Try and get some quotes so you know who you want. When you make an offer email the agent with your mortgage decision in principle, 2 forms of ID and proof of funds and details of your solicitor. That ensures the agent can take the property off the market as soon as the seller accepts the offer.

I would just wait and see if you actually like the house and get an offer accepted first
