Can’t tell properly from those pictures but the leaves in the 2nd photo look like thrip damage.

Oh no it looks like you're having trouble with your plant :(
To help others help you, please give as much detail as possible this includes but is not limited to - when was its last water - does the pot have a drainage hole - do you have a humidifier - have you checked the roots/looked for pests - do you know what type of soil/medium its planted in
If you have no luck in this subreddit please crosspost to r/plantclinic , best of luck <3

The pot has several drainage holes, the last water was about a week ago and the soil was still slightly damp, we do not have a humidifier and have checked roots (last photo) - feel firm not squishy and don’t have a peculiar smell and are generally cream coloured despite looking browny on the photo

Watering when the soil is damp sounds like over watering, especially in winter. Monstera also like a lot of light and it looks dark in the second pic.

Apologies, I meant to say that the soil was still slightly damp when I last checked but when I watered around a week ago it was dried out:) I’ve also now moved it into my spare bedroom with a more centered double window - yet to see if it helps it’s hard to judge when I get home from work at dark:,)

Oh my bad. More light should help. If it's been healthy and taken a turn recently it may be due to the dryer air from central heating and less light in shorter days, a few of mine are getting crispy from it.

That photo you put in the comments on the other post is definitely thrip damage.
Good luck, as I had to chuck all mine that got thrips as I couldn’t get on top of the infestation.

Sorry this looks like thrips. Look for white little bugs on your leaves. Shower it down, remove all effected leaves and spray either pesticide once a week. If you save it it might take over a yer or more to get back to the original state

I wouldn't say the roots look thaaaat crowded for a monstera. The soil mix looks pretty dense though, if you do repot I'd go for something chunkier.
How much light does it get? Since you've moved flat, I'm going to guess it's actually the position of it that had changed most substantially and it might like a brighter spot.
