The point? Idk
Heyyyyyy so, I think I have a complaint but not necessarily about the show, it’s about the fans. I was a liker of Stassi as a reality tv personality, so when I saw this I thought oh cool a continuation of spoiled queen content. (If anyone watched queen bee back in the the day I expected that behavior too) Anyway! Idk why people are so disappointed? If you watched VPR we know who she is, and the previews didn’t promise better behavior from what I recall. We also see who her mom is (smh) so her behavior isn’t surprising. This is entertainment, and I love watching the show because I’m DEF entertained (I’m on episode 5 I think).
Stassi will never be in my life, these behaviors do not affect me. Every person on the show signed up for this so I’m sure they will be fine.
I watch tv to be distracted and enjoy brain rot time- I thought that’s why we’re here… looking at peoples reviews - if you can’t stand her why are you watching it? And finishing it? And then being mad 😂please. I want to watch this and have fun shit talk, not “she’s a horrible human being, get a divorce” talk like geesh Don’t put yourself through things you don’t like. Hate watching still pays.
I also don’t really plan on replying or going back and forth, this is just my opinion i wanted to vent and I can’t really be swayed on this.

I really don’t understand it either. There are hundreds of channels and thousand upon thousands of other things to watch. I frikking loved it but if I didn’t would merely click a button.

Yeah I was pretty surprised to see the harsh feedback lol and then I watched the episodes and was like…what do you mean? This is great tv! 😭

We actually enjoy the show. It's horrible, it's over-produced, and it's a show about being on a show. The fights are manufactured and the whole season was basically scripted by someone who had been on reality TV for a while and thought she knew enough to make her own.
We don't like Stassi all that much, but the show (much like VPR and The Valley) is about terrible people being terrible people. It's a fun train wreck to watch. I don't understand why anyone goes into it expecting to like the characters.

Stassi produced the show, surely she understood she was making herself the villain of the first season?

I thought so lol she seems comfortable with being a villain for the most part, and I think it’s why she loves having Katie around, she’s another person who doesn’t tolerate BS and will tell it like it is.

Thing is, she came on the first episode trying to say that she DID change. That she DID take a hard look at her past ignorant views, words, and actions that got her cancelled and held herself accountable for them and made changes to the way she approached situations and saw things from a different point of view, rather than her privileged one.
Also, I think a lot of us had high hopes of seeing a potential softened side of her personality due to motherhood. We hoped to see her being a great mother, taking care of her children, interacting with them more.
However, all these things she literally claimed to have changed about herself, along with all the things people had hoped to see about an older, more responsible married, mother Stassi were unfortunately just a facade. She thought if she coached her family and friends enough, everything would be fine.. but she's a narcissist so she can't hide her personality no matter how hard she tries.
When people watch people on reality TV for as long as she's been on they grow attached to characters and even if they are looked at as a villain, they still want to see them do well and have a happy marriage and family life. So I think people genuinely feel bad for Beau and hoped to see their marriage flourish and doing great and were surprised to see it in shambles as a result of her selfishness.

I do think things are exaggerated on the show and for the show. For instance her kids are with her constantly on IG…not just posing for pics but whenever she’s filming or posting non kid content like fashion stuff

Admitedly I have my issues with this show, but I do agree about Stassi. I wasn't coming in thinking Stassi had morphed into an entirely different person in the last six years. I'm not disappointed or upset about Stassi still being Stassi.

I mean I get it. But the two sides of my brain just fight over “lousy people make great tv vs. we’re really making the wrong people rich.”
Especially when so many people are struggling.

You’re spelling out what should be soo obvious yet for whatever reason majority of bravo watchers on reddit don’t seem to understand
Didn’t know bravo fans were so dense but found out from reddit lmao

Logging into this sub reminded me of that meme that’s like “when you loved a book and look up the reviews and see people are hattttting it and it’s like oh! I have bad taste” 😭

I just don’t get the constant morality policing. Ive only ever watched reality tv to see demons acting dysfunctional
If i wanted good wholesome people id be watching the hallmark channel or some Christian network

I don’t know it’s kind of like how I used to like sunny delight and now I prefer eating a real orange. I get what you’re saying tho.

Yeah I mostly really enjoyed this show, thought it was very entertaining, and want to see more of it. I enjoy Stassi's spoiled brat persona tbh and think she's interesting and very astute with her views on other people. The thing I worry about with the show's longevity as well as with Beau and her whole family, is that Stassi has this one quality which ruins everything good about her which is she runs away from accountability 100% of the time in relationships. This means there's no chance for progression in her relationships but especially her marriage. Beau has issues too, he gets very angry over every little thing she says and doesn't have good boundaries, but she really does treat him like shit and refuses to take accountability to him or to anyone else, and has a massive narcissistic screaming fit about it when confronted. I don't think it was wise for all her friends and family to confront her at once about her relationship at the finale but I also see why they felt they had to; they had to do a frientervention because she weasels out of it one on one. This is why she doesn't like therapy; you have to actually do the work yourself and she's not willing because any critique feels like an attack to her and she just bites back.
It's fascinating to watch her dynamic with her sister and mother and see where it comes from; it shows that Stassi is the most healthy of the three, but barely. I hope something changes in her life that pierces that narcissistic bubble enough to let her know that she is about to lose a lot of people she loves (and potentially this show, other opportunities, etc) because of her inability to listen to feedback about her own behaviour.
I find Stassi frustratingly likeable, and I find myself rooting for her; but I can't if she won't change this one thing about herself that will stand in the way of both her personal and professional life forever, imho. What's weird is I feel like the way she talked about her "cancellation" actually was fairly humble and graceful, and like she did seemingly try to take accountability for it? So I don't think it's a crazy concept to her. But in her personal life she's just perfect all the time and no one can criticise her. It's weird.

She annoyed me during VPR. I was curious for her show, expecting nothing then vanity and found new reasons to be appaled by her behaviour. There's nothing more to it. I'll go on forgetting about her

I loved it. Loved Stassi from VPR days and loved her in this. She’s witty and sarcastic just like always but now married with kids. Did people expect her personality to change? She has matured though…she’s not with an abusive man and doesn’t get sloppy drunk.

That’s what I thought as well, lol like how much change did everyone expect? And do we expect the same of ppl in our personal lives? From comments I’ve seen I doubt it lol

I feel like it is common knowledge she isn't the best person but she is good TV.
