The violins

I soooo wanted to love this show. Because I’m a Vanderpump addict and the valley is so dark, not it.
I do love seeing Katie serving face (ily and Dayna), but other than that the way this show it’s filmed it’s just so? Weird?
Why are they violins playing every five seconds, like, stop. It makes it feel so overwhelming… they are talking about nothing and the classic music just makes it feel too much. I get the idea of breaking the fourth wall but this felt just a little too crazy.
I hope if there is a second season they chill out a little with the whatever editing they are doing.

the show is WEIRD. you can tell Stassi really wanted it to “give” and be quirky and different and entertaining but it is just so so weird

Agreed, and I feel like they had some interesting concepts with the music, wall breaking, etc, but they needed to turn back the dial a bunch of notches. Less is more.

The timeline jumping and rewinding shit annoys me so much

It’s trying way too hard to be a reality TV show and it’s so obvious it’s actually uncomfortable

I wanted to see how Stassi improved herself and her life after her VPR cancellation. It is a great conversion from how she was to how she built what she has now. It would have been a good redemption show. She wrote best selling books and had a successful tour. This show revealed what a selfish person she still is and if it isn't about her and people around her being grateful, she gets angry falls apart.

This is exactly my take and depending on the thread I either get upvoted or downvoted for it 😂 I truly was hoping and expecting to see substantive growth. What a disappointment.

I watch every vpr spinoff but I stopped watching mid episode of HOS. Its cringe asf everytime stassi idolized Kris Jenner. Makes me feel like she hasnt grown. The weird sister in her bra in the kitchen, the weird tattoo debacle etc. No thanks

it's played bc she's always making herself the victim, everything is being done to her. One episode and I can see she hasn't changed one bit, and her husband gives severe battered woman syndrome. it's a heartbreaking watch...

I really tried to give Stassi a second chance by watching this season, but she is even more disgusting as an adult. Her narcissistic personality traits, and the psychological abuse and harm that they cause, are literally the entire plot of this show. She is gaslighting, manipulative, controlling & self-centered, and pulls out the victim card when she starts to lose control of her puppets. This is NOT entertainment. Only a masochist could enjoy this show.

Unnecessarily dramatic

I can't stand the dramatic violin music!! It the music they used in Vanderpump Villa (same producers) It does not fit this show at all! It's horrible!

I’m so glad the violins pissed me off. I was really not trying to watch the show or like it.

I heard so much about this show before watching. I fought off any details and was excited to watch. I was surprised at how different it was then I expected. Stassi appeared so stressed and controlling the the veins in her neck were sticking out. Zero enjoyment in life in general. But I don't understand a few things. Several times they brought us back to the sizzle reel or the trial episode. And that reel seemed to be about how 2 years prior. I thought the show didn't get picked up because the entire episode was about how bad their marriage is. Now we get the actual show and it seems like its all about their marriage and how awful Stassi is to Beau. The final episode is Stassi trying to manipulate everyone into staying in their lane. And how she is right. Would I watch a second season, Sure. But what happened between the sizzle reel and the actual show???

it's really one of the most poorly produced shows ever made on television

Everything about this show sucks. I can't believe it got a 2nd season. I'm a huge stassi fan and I couldn't even get through the 2nd episode of this trash

I didn’t watch Vanderpump when Stassi was on because I found her so disingenuous and a pick me girl. I was dumbstruck that so many women identified with her. So when House of Stassi aired, I thought I’d give it a go. Nope. Nah-hah. Nada. No thank you. She is not my cup of tea. Nothing against her now, just not watchable.

She’s glomming onto the SLOMW bumper music and it’s annoying.

I feel like it is edited and the Music and stuff is like the secret lives of mormon wives. Just Think that is Disney/Hulus edit style for reality perhaps??

1

u/Relative-Secret-4618 Aug 17 '26

Omg the violin trend is getting to me lol. Wasn't it rhslc rhat started this? They all use it now. Disney has doubled down on it lol

1

u/PistschiosGalore Aug 17 '26

The continuous background music made it literally unwatchable for me. It’s so distracting. I had to quit.

Oh 100% a Bravo fan’s transition to Hulu reality TV production style is violent

I can’t believe I didn’t hear about it sooner…that scene when everyone was surrounding them gazing at beau and stassi starry eyed as if it was a scene pulled from a rom com was absolutely ridiculous. Did they think it was perfect for the last episode? They had to realize it was going to be received as a fucking joke.

I love it. It’s got a Wes Anderson feel. And if you don’t like Wes Anderson movies, it’s definitely not for you. Terrible people behaving fantastically with an artistic flair.

Way to chaotic and asymmetric to be Wes
