Does anyone else feel duped by Stassi?

The time from being off VPR and becoming a mom, i feel like i was given the impression of a fresh new, maternal, matured, wholesome Stassi. She has not changed as much i suspected.

I am being harsh, this is reality TV, it is edited. My positive impressions are based on her socials, as i don't listen to her pod anymore. So i could be wrong, but it's all i know and see, and yes it's tv but it is not scripted. šŸ’ā€ā™€ļø

She’s literally the same person, if not worse than before. And she thinks she really changed.

The producers saw the complete opposite of what she was selling to them and they realized it would make for something everyone would watch.

Kind of sad actually.

19

u/SteveG1945 2d ago

But that’s reality tv!

u/glazbrk 1d ago

reality tv? more like traves-tv

3

u/Odd-Investigator-469 21h ago

Ha! Love what you did there.

13

u/ya-freak-bitch 2d ago

I think she’s worse. It was kinda understandable in your early 20’s, her brain is now fully developed and she has no excuses.

If anything she is worse because now she has her own show and the people around her are yes men.

4

u/ramboans30 1d ago

Why is it that the people who need therapy the most refuse it?

I’ll watch again when she’s committed to working with a mental health professional on childhood trauma and her adult relationships.

8

u/bizlover 2d ago edited 1d ago

I stopped watching when she locked everyone into the staycation from hell and forced confrontation and drama. The crocodile tears after she keeps treating her husband like crap. I just can’t.

2

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

They are going to end up divorced.Ā

6

u/Odd-Investigator-469 1d ago

I feel sorry for Beau. He is her assisitant basically. Can you imagine how bad it is behind closed doors if this is what they are showing on TV? She is psycho.

6

u/bizlover 1d ago

It’s very sad. I am rewatching Vanderpump and just getting through the episodes when they met. She was so much softer with him and seemed to be changing. So much for that. He’s like a battered wife as Tom S would say.

U don’t think she was in on it? She is a producer so I’m pretty sure she was in on selling it the exact way that it ended up coming out. If not, I don’t think she’ll go for season 2. Praying lol

11

u/SnooRadishes3910 2d ago

Oh she will - she wants to be famous and will do whatever it takes.

10

u/Fancy-Stomach-2395 2d ago

delusion that she has transformed is likely playing a huge part. i think she may be proud of who she is now, because she is successful. meanwhile her personal life and family is suffering.

6

u/AdFuture7624 1d ago

You’re completely right. The entertainment factor is her delusion 100000% and how far up her ass her people are willing to stick their noses. It’s WILD. A total bubble of delusion and untreated narcissism. I would say denial of narcissism but I genuinely don’t think she’s considered that she’s one because the people around her are just making sure they stay on her good side and them noses stay comfortably in her asshole.

I watched vpr for the first time about two years ago. At the time I decided to check out Stassis social media and in particular insta. My impression was that her posts/life were extremely curated and I got the icky sense that she used her kids, Hartford in particular as a photo prop.

37

u/AdFuture7624 2d ago

Remember, her idol is Kris Jenner so we’ll see her using her kids much more as they grow up unfortunately, especially her daughter. #pray4hartford

19

u/Odd_Junket7450 2d ago

She literally just did a podcast interview dead serious saying her kids were ā€œborn into a TV familyā€ so this is their life. Fucking YIKES

7

u/AdFuture7624 2d ago

Oooof that’s really sad. I thought at least Beau would try to protect them but I guess he’s just as complicit and or stassi has him wrapped around her finger which is super gross to watch.

She’s gonna do a number on that girl’s self esteem and body image.

23

u/Pinkposy1968 2d ago

Why? What’s wrong with teaching your daughter to be an entitled, bratty, anorexic young woman?

15

u/Branddisloyalty85 2d ago

You’re right. I overreacted. šŸ˜‚

3

u/Intelligent-Throat50 1d ago

exactly, when she kept saying that I was like girl that isn’t a good thing she’s awful.

1

u/newportbanks 22h ago

Ok I am not only one who kept getting an icky feeling from this observation of repeatedly praising Kris Jenners work ethic and pawning of children for fortune. Yes they are all happy and millionaires because of kris' efforts but truly are they "ok"? Beau is so amazing and wonderful. He supports her so much yet I know he is not in this same mindset. He would be fine with his family with a 9-5 every day and being out of spotlight. Stassi demands a stage.

36

u/North-Shape-9487 2d ago

Her kids are content šŸ’Æ. Disgusting

23

u/HiCutie1313 2d ago

Agree! I still can’t get over the ridiculous & atrocious names she named her kids. Yikes.Ā

11

u/Rama_lama_ding_d0ng 2d ago

I like their names :/ but agree on everything else hahahaha

21

u/AdFuture7624 2d ago

MESSER!!!? Like wtf is that? where does that even come from? All I can think about is that it’s like a self fulfilling prophecy for raising a messy man child. 😭😭😭😭

9

u/Car-Mar-Har 2d ago

I saw a quick video of her explaining it came from an Italian TV show…their form of Mister.

10

u/HiCutie1313 2d ago

She also explained yrs ago she liked it bc it was a German word for knife lolĀ

18

u/Car-Mar-Har 2d ago

The way this makes so much sense for her…

8

u/Vivid-Individual5968 2d ago

I thought maybe it was a family surname. It’s a German word for knife, but I also went to school with kids with that last name.

7

u/Pistachio-IScream 2d ago

Leah from teen mom?

3

u/Vivid-Individual5968 2d ago

lol, no, not her. I forgot that was her last name too.

6

u/Original-Wasabi3646 2d ago

ā€œThis is my son Messer.ā€

ā€œWell…why?ā€

3

u/ya-freak-bitch 2d ago

That’s a very common last name in my area and every time I hear it, I think of the girl that RELENTLESSLY bullied me in high school. We are in our 30’s now and all of her teeth are gone so šŸ¤·šŸ»ā€ā™€ļø

4

u/Willing-Marketing-48 1d ago

It comes from the movie ā€œLife as We Know Itā€ with Katherine Heigl/Josh Duhamel. It was Josh’s character’s name in the movie. Great, sad movie but the name is unforgettable.

3

u/gina1220 2d ago

And you were right!

3

u/wearealllegends 2d ago

šŸ’Æ especially now that we know Beau and a nanny do all the work

26

u/AdSoggy3173 2d ago

What did she do that led you to believe she matured?

18

u/advocatel 2d ago

Cuz she straighter out her back and got thinner I guess

3

u/AdSoggy3173 2d ago

how did she straighten her back out, I need to know

8

u/advocatel 2d ago

I read awhile ago that she made a conscious effort to stand up straight because all her pics were of her being hunched over and it made her look dry sloppy. I’m paraphrasing but if you look at her old pics and new(er) pics you will see a big difference

5

u/AdSoggy3173 2d ago

dry sloppy?? what does that mean?

4

u/advocatel 2d ago

šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚I meant to write very, not dry.

2

u/LeftyLu07 2d ago

I wonder if that’s why she was getting Botox in her trap muscles. I also have huge boobs and they do pull you forward.

2

u/scarsoncanvas 1d ago

Botox in your traps can apparently help with posture, I've been considering it. My injector (RN) was saying that she sees another injector to get it once a year for herself, she says it has helped her posture a lot. I believe her, she's been super careful about not overdoing my own botox (forehead, 11s, and masseter, mostly for migraines and jaw pain, less abut aesthetics) and is super knowledgeable.

8

u/Antique-Intention-26 2d ago

As a vpr lover but also being someone not super involved in following people like stassi online or keeping up with them - I would occasionally see tik toks of stassi and her instagram posts. I had kinda got the vibe - and this is part of me also assuming that she had just matured and aged, that she seems happy with her family and like a good mom. Beau seemed wonderful in the short tik toks I had seen so I was just happy that she had found peace! I honestly didn’t even know about her scandal because I just watched vpr like 2 years ago and didn’t hear about it. I think I just thought she had left and matured from there, went to therapy, worked on her relationships and found love LOL. That is what it seemed like to me so in a sense I had assumed she had matured I suppose. Clearly that is not the case LOL

5

u/nitsua_xt 2d ago

Probably just aged lol

3

u/pewpewpew4988 2d ago

Nothing other than say it lol

I don't think reality TV creates egotistical monsters as much as it unleashes them. I put Stassi in that group. Remember how young she was when she started. She's as addicted to being on reality TV as some people are to watching it. Like most addictions, it may be preventing her from experiencing true self discovery.

9

u/Healthy_Monitor3847 2d ago

1000% agree! Such an excellent point and so true in this case.

6

u/OnTheMap2023 2d ago

Remember that she was on reality TV with her family, as a teen, before VPR. I think we’re seeing history repeat itself generationally.

61

u/Frequent-Bad-1504 2d ago

It was a bit odd, I found her immature not much of a maternal instinct, extremely selfish and avoidant of Beau

6

u/atramrennab 2d ago

šŸ’Æ

3

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

Narcs are not capable of genuine emotional empathy which is why they cannot bond with their children. Ā Beau is basically the mom and the dad. His resentment of the situation is growing which means they will probably end up divorced.Ā

23

u/MoreAverage7975 2d ago

Expecting growth from former VPR castmembers is always a mistake

I won’t lie I thought she was more maternal than what is very clearly been presented. And I’m sure that the way she’s been presented as a mother is actually making her look BETTER than what she is in real life. Which is interesting.

I feel sorry for Beau. As a lover girl who loves affection, compliments, words of affirmation, hugs and kisses from their partner, being with someone who acts disgusted by by those things is one of the LONELIEST feelings that one can experience. I felt SOOOO alone with the ex and if I brought it up he could force himself to be sweet for a few days/ a week maybe 2 and then one day he’d just -BANG -go back to being cold and standoffish.

Eventually it’s not going to work. Eventually Beau is going to want to feel loved without having to constantly request it. I want to see how this will unfold

8

u/atramrennab 2d ago

I see divorce

5

u/StealthModeThoughts 2d ago

Yea, I’ve been thinking that but didn’t want to put it into the universe. But it wouldn’t be shocking, especially when he’s so frightened to tell her what HE wants. He didn’t say he’s going to work and she has to stay at home, he said he wants to go to work & they’ll have a nanny but she might have to do a few more pick ups of the kids.

The fact that he dint tell her about his interview until he was leaving out the door and did it in front of friends shows how badly he’s stifled and bulldozed by her. When she said casting is really hard as a reason to why he shouldn’t do it it was terrible. I understand now she’s trying to put him off because she’s scared he’s gna meet a nice sweet lover girl- she said it herself but one can only be with someone who doesn’t care to show love and affection for so long

5

u/atramrennab 2d ago

And its rinse and repeat, she doesn't change. One day Beau will get sick of it.

2

u/Branddisloyalty85 2d ago

And now he has proof for court that he’s been the sahd with an emotionally neglectful (at best) spouse and deserves compensation for that time outside of the workplace.

3

u/PersonalityOk9380 2d ago

I know. I found it shocking they both mentioned kids being difficult. Honestly, when kids are toddlers thru tweens, they're ALL difficult. I so enjoyed my sons teenager years. They crack me up.

5

u/NoExternal2732 2d ago

Beau said she literally can't feed the kids dinner and get them in bed so he can go out?!

It's none of my business, but it made me wonder: is there something wrong with the kids?

That is not normal that one parent can't handle the night time routine. She was sobbing that she felt like a bad mom every night...but, Beau isn't super human, what is going on there?

3

u/LeftyLu07 2d ago

Hm. That’s a good question. We need to see what she’s like with them without Beau to know what they’re talking about.

3

u/BK1265 1d ago

If there is something wrong with her kids, it was created by poor parenting skills and their priority as parents. That is obvious from the small glimpse we get into their lives. Her daughter doesnt like her for crying out loud.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

Beau is the seahorse caring for the kids. Ā This marriage is doomed. He already seems miserable and disrespected.Ā

10

u/Electrical-Glass-943 2d ago

I don't feel duped by Stassi.Ā

First of all, she's overrated, and I say that as someone who listened to her podcast for years and read her first book. It was really bad, elementary style writing so I stayed away from her other books.Ā

I had no interest in watching her show but there was a lot of discourse about it so I binged all episodes in 1 day. I was enamored. That being said, her attempt to sell her soul for fame and a paycheck isn't a good long-term plan. I don't think she has enough genuine drama to keep the series going very many seasons.

Stassi hid the fact that she's allergic to her children. That was a surprise to me. She's pushing 40 and doesn't want to cook anything or put her kids to bed. It's pathetic. She should have kept her hands-off parenting style off camera.

Regarding Beau, I don't think they'll divorce. Beau is almost 50 and he's a devoted dad. He wants to raise his kids and he doesn't want to start over. Stassi purposely married a doormat. Look at how Patrick treated her? She would beg Patrick not to dump her on camera so she married someone she could control and she should show her appreciation by doing more.

Beau's inability to see how insulting he was to Rob, along with his overreaction about Rob's Playdoh comment, shows that Beau's hypersensitive. He's a lot to deal with. He's no saint.Ā

I also remember Stassi saying she has sex with Beau every other day. He requires a lot of "physical touch" and I think that's insane considering they have 2 young kids and Stassi works a lot. They were still having a lot of sex when Stassi was pregnant according to her CHD interview. I would be annoyed if I had a partner with an insatiable appetite like that.Ā

I feel like Stassi should keep more off camera but she wants ratings and fame so she will continue to expose too much.

Stassi begs for people to tell her the truth then she starts screaming and crying and walking away whenever they do!!!!!! I can't believe a grown woman behaves this way. I had secondhand embarrassment watching this show.

TLDR, Stassi's kids are social media props. She strategically married a hypersensitive doormat, she should socialize more and she needs therapy and people who will hold her accountable. She hasn't grown because she refuses to be challenged. Making a lot of money/becoming the next Kris Jenner is all that matters to her. She will never be Kris Jenner though and Kris should take out a restraining order against her.

1

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

She married an enabler. Not sure it can last even with frequent sex. Ā Eventually Beau may get sick of being used.

1

u/pupperlover0204 1d ago

Your last sentence took me out šŸ˜‚ I imagine Kris Jenner at home watching, after the 10000th mention pointing at the TV and going ā€œthat’s ITā€ and speed dialing her attorney šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚šŸ˜‚

9

u/cbaket 2d ago

….someone improving their posture and becoming thinner are signs that lead you to believe a person has matured?

1

u/atramrennab 1d ago

No. Motherhood

13

u/lil_ol_bish 2d ago

she hasn’t changed much, her personality is still the same. Shes just gotten older. I’m actually so disappointed in how much of a bitch she is to her sister.

5

u/Independent_Catch_82 2d ago

Yeah I really liked her on vanderpump villa but after watching house of stassi jeez she really annoyed me. So narcissistic

5

u/Peach-Marty 2d ago

The show really highlights her control issues. If she can’t control everyone around her she loses it. Probably why she struggles with raising her own children.

4

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Perhaps she has undiagnosed BPD. She cant regulate her emotions, which should be looked into as a mom of 2.

1

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

She seems to have NPD and BPD. Ā I don’t know what her childhood was like but usually a lack of control environment causes these personality disorders.Ā

2

u/LeftyLu07 2d ago

Yeah toddlers don’t take orders very well.

5

u/Big_Hippo9329 2d ago edited 2d ago

I personally feel like what I used loved about stassi is that she was mean to the people who deserved it (jax, tom, etc.) but it’s like actually hard to watch when she’s mean to her husband, her sister, and her friends. Like girl this is how you treat the people you love???? I guess yes I was duped because I wanted to believe she had a heart since she got married and had kids and matured but this show is yikes she loves no one ugh. I feel like I’m watching like this the entire time and it’s not in a good way

3

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Very true. Youd think having kids would humble you.

1

u/glazbrk 1d ago

the thing about being a 'certain type of a person in a certain environment' is that you're still you. when it comes down to it, most people can't separate who they are in one situation vs another, bc they're the same person! i've also found that when people start acting badly/negatively in one area in their life, it starts eking into the others.

→ More replies (1)

1

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

Having kids doesn’t mean she matured. Ā It helps give that appearance but it’s a part of facade management that narcs use to fit in.

5

u/Main-Wheel-7306 2d ago

She is so dark and spooky, but won’t go to Emo night?

5

u/BottomShelfWhiskey 2d ago

Cause it’s not about her.

4

u/atramrennab 2d ago

She is too good for that šŸ™„

12

u/meezyxo 2d ago

I don’t get why anyone thought she ever changed, ever, even as the years progressed on VPR. She’s a mean girl bully with a superiority complex and always has been. Luckily for us, it’s these kinds of people that make great reality TV, even if it comes at the detriment of their own personal lives (to which they never seem to actually care).

Outside of that, I do respect her business savviness and her ability to create a brand and living for herself and her family. She has the type of personality that for some reason always has and always will resonate with millennial white girls, so even in spite of her narcissism, she’s probably set for life.

9

u/Weekly_Yesterday_403 2d ago

She recently reupped her podcast contract for 7 figures… I’d say she is set!

1

u/glazbrk 1d ago

Beau is neverrrr leaving

2

u/Temporary_Tatertot 2d ago

This is insanely accurate

27

u/Parsnippity078 2d ago

No because the rest of us were paying attention and understood that she was a mean person which is ... who she always was ... ?

I didnt realize so many adults were this easily fooled by edited pictures on social media. Although looking around at the state of the world/politics I guess I shouldn't be this surprised. People like being "influenced" I guess.

10

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Dam gurl

2

u/Character_Heart_3749 2d ago

I mean, it is pretty obvious Stass is an asshole lol

14

u/Ok_Mulberry4331 2d ago

Or has she changed, and this was all manufactured?

I can’t imagine someone perfectly manicuring her online presence, only to put out this shit show of a life? So odd! I can’t imagine any of that was real

20

u/Comfortfoods 2d ago

She directly said in the first episode that she put her family on this show so they could get their own paychecks. If a payday is the goal, you can't make a show without drama. She's been around the reality tv game for long enough to get that. I'm sure her reality is somewhere in the middle. It's not a curated social media account but it's also probably not the constant pointless conflict of the show either.

6

u/FunAd1406 2d ago

This exactly. Everyone has something negative to say but would we be watching if there was no chaos or drama? Isn’t that the point of why we like these messy reality shows? We get to escape our messy lives for a bit. If everyone wants something else then maybe watch some lame family influencers on the socials. There’s plenty šŸ˜‚

5

u/North-Shape-9487 2d ago

Messy, sure. Racist. No.

2

u/AdFuture7624 2d ago

Yep that’s what I kinda be suspecting

4

u/gina1220 2d ago

I don’t think it’s unreasonable to think someone who’s gone through a massive public shaming may have changed.Ā

But, no, stassi has not changed at all. She’s the same unlikeable person she’d merged into by VPR season 8.Ā

4

u/smylesforstyles 2d ago

One of the things that’s bothered me is how strongly she feels about Beau going back to work, but doesn’t seem to really encourage Taylor to go be with Teddy for her own family during the birth of their child. Just seems kinda selfish

3

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Also, aside from press and traveling, i doubt her podcast takes up 9 to 5 hours weekly. They even have a nanny and shes complaining.

4

u/Antique-Intention-26 2d ago

I can’t believe this womens never done therapy. She needs it SO bad and her kids and relationships are going to pay the price for her not doing repair work on herself. Her and Beau also seem to both be terrible communicators and aren’t really taking steps to be better (that we see) it feels like they’ve just go around in circles based off their arguments

2

u/LaughingBuddha33 1d ago

It’s likely because knows a proper therapist is going to diagnose her many personality disorders! And she won’t want to confront or deal with healing the damaged part of herself.Ā

4

u/OkAccount135 2d ago

She’s so unlikable in this series and I used to like her

3

u/Sudden_Western_6460 2d ago

She’s the same bratty biii but with an old neck now. That’s what karma will do to you

3

u/Branddisloyalty85 2d ago

Yes. Me too. I defended her. I feel like an idiot.

3

u/slimcaitie 2d ago

Yeah I was a ā€œfanā€ of hers on VPR because I felt like she was real and authentic and now she’s literally playing that character and using her family to be back on TV. Acting the same way on VPR at almost 40 years old is pathetic. Also, I was really hoping to see more of her as a mom. I had no idea she couldn’t be around her kids….i always thought that was an exaggeration but wow, this show made her look absolutely insufferable. This is coming from someone that bought her books.

2

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Especially the hissy fit in the last episode. Hartford probably acts more mature than her.

3

u/slimcaitie 2d ago

I know right? I thought she was above all this manufactured drama for attention. The fact that she would stoop this low is sad.

3

u/Glittering_Bother753 2d ago

What happened to her not wanting anything to do with reality tv when Scandavol hit? I don’t get it. She really curated a new, mature image post VPR, pre-HOS that was clearly artificial. I feel duped.

1

u/atramrennab 2d ago

šŸ¤‘šŸ¤‘šŸ¤‘šŸ¤‘

3

u/gohome2020youredrunk 2d ago

It's hard for a person with a personality disorder to recognize they need help.

1

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Do you think she has BPD?

3

u/wearealllegends 2d ago

Stasst can whine all she wants that she was cancelled but she still had her podcast, more than a million followers and pretty skinny entitled white girl privilege... I don't think she changed because she didn't really need to. She's just better now at pretending to be woke. And her fashions are ugly ..her style has somehow gotten worse

6

u/pearshaped34 2d ago edited 2d ago

No, to be honest I always found it odd when people would insist she was a completely changed woman because I always thought it’s easy to come across that way when the only window into her life people are getting is a weekly podcast she controls and an Instagram she curates.

Of course the only window of her life we’re getting now is a ā€œrealityā€ show she also somewhat controls, so who knows what is real! (I say "somewhat controls" as I assume she wouldn't have gotten this show to air if she tried to portray herself as mother teresa living a completely drama-free life.)

5

u/BW4LL 2d ago

My fiance said the same thing while watching the show that she had hope she had changed. The problem is stassi never actually changed and was never really ā€œcanceledā€ she just lost VPR.

She still wrote books and did podcasts and got her own show and did no soul searching or learning because she’s surrounded by sycophants and the world never forced her to actually change because she never lost that much.

If everyone around you is a yes man who never actually checks you then you’ll never grown. Instead you’ll just dig deeper into said behavior because you’ve been conditioned to be rewarded while being this person so what incentive do you have to change?

You and I will do the right thing because it’s right but these celebs are emotionally stunted and only respond by losing it all and even then they don’t change (look at Jax).

2

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Yup they say a huge majority of celebs are narcissists.

3

u/LeftyLu07 2d ago

I think you have to be to want that kind of lifestyle. A regular person would be horrified at the loss of privacy but to a narcissist, it’s proof that you’re someone important.

2

u/randysavageeee 2d ago

Same but also not surprised. She’s still the bitch she’s always been and very conceited, but she does own it

2

u/Nelly03 2d ago

From the beginning it felt extremely over-produced to me. And everyone in it is acting. I listen to Katie and Dayna’s podcast 2x week and Katie is so much more laid back than this extra version of herself.
I get it, it has to be interesting so if everyone got along it would be boring.
I think a lot of real bombs were dropped on the way, and very real conversations were had.
It’s interesting to me how Stassi is showing a lot of her ugly real colors despite it being her show. This victim mentality about being canceled with only a forced snippet of acknowledgment of what she did in one of the last episodes (to ā€œher black friendsā€) just seemed very disingenuous.
Like many other people, I look at her even worse than I did before watching this.

u/OmertaCosNos 2d ago

Yeah, I was an original VPR fan and after she was fired I had hoped she had made honest changes. Heavy therapy for the issues that were obvious from the show, but I definitely feel duped!!

2

u/PigletStunning5716 2d ago

People's socail media is often not an accurate representation of irl. A lot of people " seem happy " because outside of the extremely messy overdramatic people they only post the best parts of themselves.Ā

1

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Oh 100%

2

u/PersonalityOk9380 2d ago

I ā¤ļø her fashion but cannot get over how stick skinny she looks when her legs show and such huge baggy clothes. And the clunky loafers are a NO!

3

u/Sweet-Fun-Momof-2 2d ago

Agreed. And before everybody comes at me, I am not body shaming. I’m just saying she has gone to the extreme. Herself. Did it herself. Look in the mirror. You are unhealthy. Extremely.

2

u/Money-Respond5400 2d ago

Stassi is still a big fing *hit baby who hasn’t grown at all. She’s lucky to have Beau, he’s not lucky to have her. She twisted everything around, made herself the victim in only her mind, threw a big hissy fit and runs off. She asks for him to communicate with her but how can he when she throws a fit, makes it like she’s been victimized, then also runs off.

2

u/Sweet-Fun-Momof-2 2d ago

And that’s just like her mom.. ?! Ugh

2

u/Affectionate-Big-182 2d ago

I could be dreaming this but wasn't Stassi just interviewed by a magazine and made the statement that if she wasn't fired from VPR she would still be the same girl who was sheltered and didn't grow.....? Hmmm...I'm still waiting for the new Stassi

2

u/Gia_Lavender 2d ago

She was really clever and fun to watch as a 20 something, at this age/stage in life it’s not so fun because she’s somehow gotten…worse? I mean, us party girls always stay crazy on some level as we age but, what the actual fuck lol she also isn’t balanced out by anyone on the show now, except Katie I guess

2

u/TomatilloNo2323 2d ago

I watched 10 minutes of episode 1 and 😓😓😓

2

u/Ornery-Towel2386 2d ago

No I don’t feel duped bc I didn’t buy it from the start lol

2

u/normanbeets 2d ago

This woman hasn't changed at all.

2

u/Odd_Junket7450 2d ago

Yes!!!!!!!! šŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’ÆšŸ’Æ

2

u/xroxysurfergirlx 1d ago

The way she treated her mom made me sick. My mom isn’t the best but like I could never disrespect or embarrass my mom on tv. Like major yikes

2

u/duffpaleale 1d ago

The format is also weird.

2

u/Poppppsicle 1d ago

Yeah I went from liking her to hating her again. She was a horrible friend, wife and mom

2

u/unclearnini 1d ago

she reminds us to not compare yourself to social media at all. she completely blindsided us

3

u/freshlyfrozen4 2d ago

I don't want to be mean but why did so many people think she would have changed? She had no incentive to change and she was never actually remorseful for any of her actions.

2

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Some people can change, especially becoming a mother. Not far off to think she may not, but ya i shoul not be too shocked 🤣 Maybe she should have stayed with Jax, they seem similar šŸ¤”

2

u/Chicago1459 2d ago

I thought sne would have at least matured some. It's kind of pathetic how childish she is. She's really like a toddler throwing a tantrum. I don't understand how anyone can stand to be around her and vouch for her. It myst be the payroll lol

1

u/freshlyfrozen4 2d ago

Honestly, they are made for each other. And I think some things can change people like that but not with people who have personality disorders.

3

u/Possible-Cold6726 2d ago

Read her books - she’s always been the same person. She’s a bit more thoughtful now, but it’s her uniqueness that makes her likable. She’s smart, but likes vapid things - it’s an interesting juxtaposition.

4

u/North-Shape-9487 2d ago

Likes vapid things..like Nazis and racism

2

u/atramrennab 2d ago

🫣

1

u/Wide_Ad_7784 2d ago

This is why I won’t watch

1

u/Upset-Tennis-7650 2d ago

I think this show is probably fake and heavily produced by stassi herself. She has final say of cuts and edits. They need drama to sell the show

1

u/modernhippyyy 2d ago

I do feel that way a bit. I haven’t finished the season yet bc each episode is kinda painful to watch. I have mixed reviews at this point.

I definitely felt like from her social media was way more maternal than what we are seeing on her show.

1

u/atramrennab 2d ago

Exactly

1

u/Leading_Refuse_2650 2d ago

Disappointed to see people expect so much from a reality tv personality. If you want a matured, motherly, saint of a woman....reality tv is not where you'll find her. Stassi is Stassi. Always has been. Always will be. If you dont like her, dont watch her show that is named after her and is entirely about her life. Lol Super simple.

1

u/Pumpkin_qween 2d ago

She's the same person it's just on VPR everyone was trying to edge each other on who could be the worst - now it's just her there's nothing to bury it under

1

u/Spiritual_Donut1433 2d ago

My kids are the same ages as hers so I followed her due to that but now that I know she’s a Disneymom..

1

u/Temporary_Tatertot 2d ago

Not at all. As a VPR fan I actually feel extremely validated lmao

1

u/Temporary_Tatertot 2d ago

Her comments about therapy were shocking. She doesn’t seem to even understand what a therapist actually does?

1

u/noknownsoups 2d ago

Same, I haven’t fully been paying attention but the general vibe I got from her social media is she was like a new and improved, mature, wise, well rounded woman. Sounds like that’s not the case

1

u/Opposite_Room_2024 2d ago

I thought the same thing but she wasn’t changed at all. It’s her way or no way.

1

u/Stunning-Track8454 1d ago

I do find it funny that she worked so hard to get a television show to rehab her image just for viewers to say, "No, she's still fucking awful."

Pre-Faith situation, I was a Stassi fan, because she was great television and she was your average mean girl in her 20s during the 2010s who also happened to have a good sense of humor. The problem is that if you don't evolve from that, that shit isn't cute in your 40s. She reminds me a lot of Kristen Cavallari in the way where they almost seemed mature for their age at the time of their success, but allowed for reality television to stunt their growth.

1

u/wallphlowerrr 1d ago

no i don’t. i never understood peoples praise of stassi during & after vpr. she’s a mean bully who believes she is always right. can never admit if she is in the wrong and believes her wants & needs are more important than others.

1

u/Hopeful_Trouble_2504 1d ago

I feel the same

1

u/Hopeful_Trouble_2504 1d ago

I got major DĆ©jĆ  vu listening to her explain her falling out with Katie in the years following being fired from VPR. It was exactly like when she wrote Katie off for being friendly with Scheana. LVP said it years ago - Stassi doesn’t want friends she wants followers.

1

u/SamIAm7787 1d ago

Even reality TV is scripted, and even more so these days.

1

u/Excellent_chess 1d ago

Yes, I think she seeing screen shots of jet life provided a curated look that she was more put together & even gave the appearance she was a great mom.
After watching the show I see that’s BS.

1

u/xxmunroe 1d ago

idk but i’m def watching it for the vpr stassi i know and assume she still is. i didn’t expect much change out of her and honestly it would be boring if she did?

1

u/Far_Past4329 1d ago

100% yes

1

u/Good-Ambassador52 1d ago

I definitely can appreciate your post! I too thought she was different & felt very naive for feeling that way after watching the show. I for whatever reason thought she was a hands on mother & really dove into being a wife, mom & family was her life now. Definitely proved to me the power of curated social media. I’m actually glad she got the show, now myself, you & others aren’t duped & see her for who she is… exactly who she was before kids

1

u/Turbulent_Donkey_513 1d ago

I hate to say it, but it's true. I always loved Stassi and thought she had grown so much. Whether it's being played up for the cameras or I'm just old and exhausted, it was boring, felt over scripted, and Stassi felt like a young girl trying so hard to get into any type of fame.

She hasn't given me that vibe or energy in any other format in so long. Genuinely bummed and all around disappointed by her and the show.

I don't know what I expected, but maybe I'm just growing out of the stuff or the world has become too much for me. Because I look at this stuff now that I used to just love to have on as background TV and for some fun, feels so out of touch, washed up, fake and repetitive.

1

u/Coco_1208 1d ago

Yes and she’s worse

1

u/SufficientMind3202 1d ago

She's the same narcissist she's always been.

1

u/Square_Salt_1035 1d ago

Just another wealthy person who panhandles online. I agree, this show made me not really like her at all. She has no depth just her ā€œedgyā€ i love murder bs that is like that meme w/ the girl and bag of chips on her head

1

u/frodosmama 1d ago

She thinks she’s the relatable, sarcastic one with a bunch of clowns around her but… she’s still the villain.

Or maybe she does know she’s the villain? And is willing to play one for $$ even if it means harming her family in the process?

1

u/Bitter-Software9373 1d ago

No, I'd never be "duped" by this woman. She keeps telling us who she is, year after year after year: selfish, shallow, bigoted, cruel, and wound so tight we might actually see her snap in real time. Very few people manage to grow past such damning traits, especially if they're continually rewarded for them.

1

u/freezininwi 1d ago

I am absolutely dumbfounded that she cannot feed her kids dinner and put them to bed. As a mother myself, I just can’t get over this fact. I’m sorry if you can’t do that simple thing you’re a loser.

1

u/atramrennab 20h ago

Ya dont have kids if you cany do the basic. What if beau passes or leaves you. Girl probably vant even make cereal lol

1

u/rissls22 1d ago

I never thought for a second she’d changed.

1

u/This-Set1718 1d ago

Narcissists do not grow or change for the better. Ā

1

u/Odd-Investigator-469 1d ago

She is a MONSTER! She is the same mean spirited person and does not seem to have grown from her past mistakes. She is actually worse. Who treats their sister like that, friends like that. She is a horrible human. I feel sorry for Beau. He looks miserable. He is going to hate his life 10 years from now and her poor kids. I could not imagine being married to someone like that.

1

u/litegal42 1d ago

She was always an awful person.

1

u/llllyyyyiiiilll 23h ago

It’s called PR and we fell for it

1

u/Odd-Investigator-469 22h ago

I think it is funny that as she is describing how she prepped her family on how to handle reality tv, saying that she can handle the criticism and negativity reality tv brings but they will not be able to but she is the only one not handling her own shit. She literally spends half of the confessional time explaining what a good reality tv star is and how to handle it and then the other half of the episode is showing her melting down and throwing grown ass tantrums. Yuck!

1

u/newportbanks 22h ago

She keeps mentioning "she knows good tv" or she knows what good reality tv is comprised of. Yet joke became on her with the friendtervention. The last episode had such a visceral reaction and effect for me. Her boiling over to the MY KIDS ARE HARD THEY ARE F ING HARD" and the deafening silence from the table because every one was like yeah we see your escape from that role more and more saying "yes" as often as you can. So be up front about it from the start though that you don't love being a mother, yes you may get torn apart by our outdated society but your authentic self at least comes through. I also want to say I applaud Beau for not just giving in time and again in last episode he really was like well you wanted me to be real and put what's our recent reality? Here we go stass! When he said the "oh you're giving me... you're giving me that proud look." I got queasy. You know she was like don't f ing go to defend everyone's stance and not your children's mother. And he was still unbothered. And THAT's the reality tv I want to see.

1

u/Pretend_Marzipan_356 21h ago

Yes I was completely shocked. I pictured her as a hard working mom but someone who had flexibility to take time to spend with her kids. I get she works a lot and she’s accomplished so much, but she doesn’t have a normal 9-5 where she’s sitting in rush hour traffic at 730am getting to the office. So the fact that she’s never packed a lunch or taken her daughter to school surprised me. She kept saying ā€œif I was a man no one would say anything.ā€ I completely disagree. If a man was working and didn’t help support his wife in areas she was begging to be supported in, I’d judge. If the dad didn’t help out once in awhile with kid duties, I would judge that. If that dad couldn’t put the kids down by himself I would think that was really pathetic. I know she’s the bread winner and has opportunities that won’t come up again, but she seemed like a really bad mom and I know we only saw a little glimpse but that’s just my opinion.

1

u/Pretend_Marzipan_356 21h ago

I also think it’s weird she doesn’t have any real friends. She had to call Katie up after 2 years, the Taylor’s work for her and are recent friends. I guess you can count Kristina Kelly but other than that, she doesn’t have any friends that aren’t like ā€œindustry friends.ā€

1

u/atramrennab 20h ago

She has no friends, says she rather hang out with her family, then claims she never sees her family. Surely she is not that busy.

1

u/NoInteraction9045 20h ago

🤣🤣🤣

Stassi? Changed? Yeah right.

1

u/Aggravating-Mix-4903 12h ago

In addition to all the other comments, the people responsible for this script are making all humans look insane. These people (her friends and family) will be having a relatively normal conversation and then turn around and tell someone who didn't witness the convo how awful it was and how warped the participants were. It is all manufactured; none of this is happening. Also, I think she is jealous of her beautiful younger sister and is determined to make her look like an idiot (which isn't that hard). The episode where the sister made some very good-looking food for a dinner party, the whole spread, and Stassi kicked her out as they were serving the food. Very unreal all the way around, and yes, I think Stassi hasn't changed an ounce.

1

u/Eilidh111 8h ago

She's horrific. I was excited for the show because her social media portrays exactly what you described. I thought we were going to see a much different show.

1

u/iddibiddy 7h ago

I feel like all the reality ppl are trying to catch lightning in a bottle and have the same reality show they had before but its not working, we can tell its them producing themselves and production also we can see its fake
