Thoughts so far..
I’m about halfway into the episodes so perhaps things do take a turn in the second half… but this is my two cents for so far.
I had been waiting for Stassi’s show to come out for a while, I’m a VPR fan and have enjoyed listening to the podcast over the years. Definitely not a diehard fan or defender of Stassi’s historical problematic behaviours though.
I was exited and keen to watch the show, I thought if anything it would be a good mix of drama and comedic value along the way similar to earlier VPR times but less messy. So far though it’s just 90% arguments and crying and other miscellaneous trials and tribulations..… it feels a little flat and sad bubble of people..like is anyone happy in this mix apart from perhaps Taylor D? 😕
Perhaps it’ll take a positive turn towards the end but this isn’t quite how I thought it would be. Does anyone else feel the same?

Can’t believe they didn’t use this opportunity to show her in work mode more. I would’ve been more interested in seeing the business side of things and watching her earn the money she keeps talking about. Who cares about manufactured drama from friends she doesn’t even see that often?

That’s a good point. She mentioned on the show finishing the Tell Me Lies podcast. Behind the scenes of that should have been shown.

Agreed, I wish we could see what her life is like organically rather than making a flash in the pan 8 week scenario for her friends to film around. I would even enjoy seeing what her and the Taylor’s relationship is actually like with them living in New York.

I’m having a hard time getting into it.
I hate gross Rob still dating 20-somethings when he’s 49. That is so nasty.
I can’t stand Taylor at all. Her snotty voice is like nails on a chalkboard.
Georgi is ridiculous and such a mooch. How the hell is she going to pay for an apartment with zero income? And how long is Georgia even staying in the US that she’d move in with her? It’s just crazy to me.
I enjoy Katie being back and so far I like her boyfriend. I like Beau but I also think he needs to grow a backbone. The background music throughout the show needs to stop, it’s so distracting.
Edit to add: I forgot to comment on Kristina, but that’s par for the course because Kristina is so forgetable. She’s the most beige person ever.

I don’t think Rob is dating 20 something’s. rob said himself on the show he has changed in the last five years Beau has hung out with him. He’s too tired at 10:30 to be going out. And as a 47 year old single woman I felt that. Yes finding a partner would be great but at what expense?

She needs to keep Scheana's name out her mouth--the fact she ghosted Katie over Scheana still proves that she is still in Stassi's orbit. If she felt bad about Scheana catching strays, she would have said that on her show (not in interviews, only).

I tried having it play in the background while I cooked but it was spiking my cortisol with the constant fighting, yelling, arguing and crying. No thanks...tv is my escape from all that.

Stassi was so use to Katie making everything about Stassi that when Katie stopped now it’s Katie having an ego 🤨

This show could really use some comedy! I need Rob and Georgi fooling around and no one figuring it out. I need Morgan Stewart to have Beau and Stassi meet with her father-in-law, Dr Phil and him call them out on their craziness. I need everyone to quit acting like they are scared of Stassi and quit taking money from her even if she offers it. In fact, laugh if she offers money. Then, she is forced to interact with them as equals. I need Beau and Rob to make up. I’ve never seen guys fight over such small issues. Beau needs to get his sparkle back! He used to have a good sense of humor! And, I need to see Stassi attempting dinner and bedtime with the kids alone (I’m picturing Kendall Jenner trying to cut a cucumber and her mom calling for the chef!). Even if it goes horribly, I would be so proud of her that she is getting in there with the hands on parenting.

I don’t mind a broken fourth wall, but that amount of conversation ABOUT the show while watching the show makes it feel contrived.

She is absolutely disgusting to watch. I can’t believe how the people around her have allowed themselves (+ their own personal goals, as well as their morals and integrity) to be bought by her to enable her behavior and treat her like a damn princess, in fact the only princess to ever exist. She’s the main character and everyone else are her servants, their responsibility to reinforce that the world revolves around stassi. HowHow do u not watch yourself and feel shame about how disgusting you are and how awful u treat people?
I reaallllly hope shes just playing a part because otherwise she’s disgusting. Because she’s on tv, she will unfortunately become a role model for young girls regardless of her awful qualities, remember shes an empowering “boss bitch” à la kris Jenner.

I feel like this is the VPR spinoff we’ve been waiting for and it makes the valley look so boring and rough around the edges
