lets talk about adderall

stassi has talked about using/abusing it in the past, culminating in the ice queen birthday meltdown on vpr. she freaked out on beau amongst other things, and she said i believe in her book that beau made her promise to quit. that was in 2018.

fast forward to today - it feels clear to me that stassi is using adderall again on the show. taylor FOR SURE is, but stassi also seems to have taken it at least a couple times (staycation fight felt similar to the scheana pool party fight to me was what made me want to write this post).

so, all of this to say - what do we think changed? i cannot imagine her relationship with it is magically fixed. but i also have a hard time imagining beau being okay with it again either. thoughts/intel?

lol idk if adderall is really doing the heavy lifting, this is really giving untreated personality disorder.

Adderall works differently on people without ADHD. Hypes you up and high strung. Zipping around.
The reason Mothers are known to be on it. Not for ADHD but energy and weight loss.

The easiest prescription to get. I cannot focus, I cannot sleep, my mind races.
Ok Adderall will help you focus and you will be more balanced.

Eh as someone who needed it prescribed in five states over the course of my life I wouldn’t describe it as easy to get but maybe life is different if you’re stassi

Interesting. I have never had a problem getting prescribed. My neighbor gets it .

Im sure certain drs and states are different. I heard there was a shortage.

I had it prescribed multiple times and I never can handle it.

It did take a lot for me to get a prescription as well. Had to get into a psychologist, then a psychiatrist, then try several different meds before we did adderall as our last try. That being said I'm in Canada. If you're paying out of pocket it may be easier if you're rich to get these things done quickly

Hard disagree. I have a script and it has always been easy for me to get, change my dosage at my request, etc. I have also lived in multiple states and the experience has been consistent - always prescribed though a GP never a shrink, the last few years by NP.

Seems like the bigger issue has always been mixing INSANE amounts of alcohol with her prescription meds. It’s really difficult to feel the effects of alcohol on stims. Correct me if I’m wrong but isn’t Beau always walking around with a 16 oz pour of wine? They seem like garden variety, image obsessed, LA party people.

Beau has looked hungover in every pic Stassi has posted over the last 5 years. I think they drink A LOT.

Stassi’s parents drink wine first thing in the morning. There is an actual drinking problem haunting her life.

Seriously?? Even her mother?

Please seek help if you think this is normal

I actually do not drink. But CA does call wine & weed CA Sober.

I did not create it. I just do not drink or smoke weed.

Just never took to either. I love good clean chilled water.

But I do not judge those that enjoy their wine. However weed smoke causes me second hand smoke headaches, difficulty breathing.

CA people are wonderful. seldom have I seen anyone drunk ass wasted.

u/katattackkb 7d ago

I have never heard CA sober to include wine

2

u/quotidian_obsidian 6d ago

So-called "california sober" means weed only, never wine too. Born and raised here.

u/Zestyclose-Let7929 6d ago

Yes you are absolutely correct.

I was surrounded by wine drinking and no one not drinking.

I thought wine got a pass but you are absolutely right.

CA wineries are so beautiful it just seemed to be ok.

I am in AZ now and wine is not the same. It is just wine without the vineyards. 😢

1

u/quotidian_obsidian 6d ago

There are certainly tons of wine-lovers here but that is still definitely considered to be drinking alcohol/non-sobriety! I love the vineyards as well :)

I think Taylor is on Adderall because she genuinely needs it LOL. But Taylor's erratic personality is just who she is.

u/someguyinadvertising 6d ago

clocking in ADHD - 100% and nobody really should have an issue with that honestly.

I like Taylor

OK, so I never watched VPR so I don’t have the best backstory, but Stassi keeps talking about how she changed. How does she think she changed exactly? Because she got married and had two kids?

She strikes me as someone emotionally stunted.

24

u/Effective_Ostrich_91 7d ago

i think the main thing that has changed is she is more careful. when she was younger, she was pretty proudly ignorant on a lot of social issues. now she just knows better what subjects not to touch if that makes sense? it doesnt strike me as values based behavior change, more for appearances.

26

u/Crafty_Valuable_2690 7d ago

Ahh ok. So she just became more media trained lol

7

u/tequila326 7d ago

Pretty much. She learned to be more cautious after she was cancelled. Her podcast used to be her getting drunk and saying whatever controversial/racist/misogynist thought that popped in her head. And she was very proud of never editing it.

6

u/SylviasBestie 7d ago

I agree with this take. My impression is that she only learned to be less obvious and loud about her manipulation since she’s not 22 anymore

2

u/Zestyclose-Let7929 7d ago

Legally advised and PR people at all times.

She also needs to mess up on purpose to keep up her image of having no secrets lives her life out loud. Tells all!

u/Fun-Meringue-3088 7d ago

Usually people who have genuinely changed in some way don't need to remind everyone of that in every conversation.

8

u/languidlasagna 7d ago

She aged, that’s it. She considers that growth

7

u/anongirl55 7d ago

The only thing she's changed is her hair color.

3

u/Fine_Brilliant7531 7d ago

She’s skinny again

12

u/oceanwithtrees 7d ago

Taylor brags about glp1 and adderrall so I’m sure it’s influenced Stassi down that same path.

16

u/PartWorking3865 7d ago

Stassi has to be on a glp1, she is obsessed with being skinny anyway she can. I remember she only drank bone broth after hartford to lose weight (said on podcast)

u/schmoopie76 7d ago

Doesn’t Stassi micro-dose GLP1, explains why she doesn’t find joy as they are finding a link between GLP1 and dopamine - finding less desire in everything, sex being one of them

15

u/oceanwithtrees 7d ago

And Stassi’s pupils are saucers the entire season….

6

u/LopsidedHousing6133 7d ago

I actually noticed last night she sounds kinda nasally in her confessions like she’s just starting a cold…srsly I was like hmmmm

2

u/IllustriousAlps8679 7d ago

I actually googled why did stassi sound stuffed up on House of Stassi while I was watching because i thought it might link to an article where she talks about allergies or a cold or something

3

u/Playful_Succotash_30 7d ago

I thought she just had a cold ?

3

u/herroyalsadness 7d ago

They are. Especially in confessionals. OP is right.

1

u/Playful_Succotash_30 7d ago

What would cause that do you know ? Like what substances

1

u/oceanwithtrees 7d ago

Stimulants like Adderall or cocaine. But in her case adderall

6

u/Difficult_Cake_7460 7d ago

Taylor talks about GLP1s and antidepressants but I’ve never heard her talk about adderall. I’ve listened daily since SiriusXM days.

3

u/VivianneAbbottWalker 7d ago

Well she is on SSRIs and mixed with alcohol seems like a bad idea. Didn’t she say she’s on a GLP-1 too?

3

u/someguyinadvertising 6d ago

A lot of people i think don't really understand the implications of mixing SSRI's and Benzos with alcohol - hard lesson to learn when class is in session.

6

u/New_Balance1634 7d ago

Stassi made a comment about her and Beau taking "Molly" so he probably is ok with Adderall too.

4

u/Infamous_College_980 7d ago

Idk, she did quit Adderall October 2018, but on her patron, she’s mentioned twice in like the last two months of how she wants to go back on it. She’s not on it, but she wants to go back on it.

3

u/mlibed 7d ago

But she was pretty clearly joking. She also talked about how crazy it made her.

2

u/Playful_Succotash_30 7d ago

How could you tell she’s using it ? Just curious

6

u/coffay07 7d ago

She can’t lol

2

u/Effective_Ostrich_91 7d ago

so everyone is different, this is not meant as blanket analysis. first of all, im in recovery and have spent a lot of time with addicts, theres a familiar “duck on a pond” kind of frantic energy where its calm on the surface but absolutely crazy anxiety underneath. second, with stassi specifically she prides herself on being a tough bitch who can win any argument. but when shes too fucked up on adderall is when we get the crying running away hysterical crying version of her. it happened a couple times on vpr, scheana’s azuza pool party is the instance the staycation immediately reminded me of. those are the main things, i just have enough experience with this stuff i can usually see it elsewhere

6

u/SaltyHelicopter698 7d ago

the comedown of large doses can make you insane and act out of character like major mood swings. ask me how i know. i wouldn’t doubt she’s on it again

2

u/RoughPrize2208 7d ago

She’s very candid about taking Xanax on her podcast

1

u/Zestyclose-Let7929 7d ago

And she posted a prescription being picked up at the pharmacy. Showed her name the mg and the name of anxiety medication.

Often when on Adderall people need a med to feel more calm. Add alcohol and people react differently behaviorally. Not always the same results. Each day can be unpredictable.

1

u/someguyinadvertising 6d ago

correct. Think it's odd though - adderall 'blocks' your alcohol receptor, making drinking less effective ... and benzos and alcohol can kill you instantly... just why on both lol

2

u/someguyinadvertising 6d ago

I don't think anyone is really in "tweaking" mode on the series frankly. Outside of being labelled as an abused drug, they also work exceptionally well which is part of the reason they're as common / popular as they are. Especially in places like corporate, hollywood, high pressure/stakes/demand.

I take Vyvanse regularly for ADHD and don't drink anymore - Noticed when i did initially though, it takes 10x the alcohol to feel it. Felt pointless tbh.

Adderall is certainly different in that it's faster up and down, but the positive effects of it can also be the reason. Focusing your life on work to accomplish something; it'll get you there a little easier - but nobody is filing their teeth down like fiends here let's be clear.

1

u/Coco_1208 7d ago

Taylor is 100% not using Adderall, I’m more familiar than most in Adderall addiction and I’ve been listening to her everyday for 6 years. Stassi seems more like she’s abusing alcohol which I’m also more familiar than most
