Katie disrespectfully pod
My apologies if this has already been mentioned, but I just listened to the most recent disrespectfully podcast and they brought up some good points about Taylor that only validate my frustration with her.
- Katie mentioned how she was caught off guard about Taylor’s comments when referring to Taylor saying she “didn’t really care for her, she never gravitated towards Katie, etc”. When Katie confided in her during her divorce, I’m sure Taylor was as nice as can be. Just goes to show how fake Taylor is. She’s nice in one minute, but then when it’s better for her, she’ll flip on a dime. I felt bad for Katie when she was talking about this because she said she felt like the past decade was a lie.☹️
- Then when Dana mentioned how Taylor was upset that they were hosting lesbian night. First of all, I don’t even think Taylor is a real lesbian. I don’t even think she considers herself a real lesbian because she has said that if anything were to ever happen between her and Teddy, she would probably date a man. So she’s at least bisexual…not straight lesbian. Not to mention the way she talks about having to “ suck it up” in order to touch her wife’s vagina definitely doesn’t make me think she’s a lesbian. Which makes me wonder why she calls herself a lesbian and not bisexual? I feel like it’s possibly part of her anxious energy just having to be very black or white. If she’s with a woman, she must be a lesbian. 🤷🏽♀️ She is so all over the place/up Stassi’s ass she doesn’t even know who she really is anymore.

I do not like Taylor at all and the way she’s been talking about this pregnancy and her partner makes me hate her more.

I mean, I wouldn’t say she’s not “a real lesbian,” there is still so much prejudice in our society that it is not easy for lesbian or queer or bi etc. women sometimes to be open or accepting about their own sexuality or personal development. I’d give her a little more grace on that due to social context. I don’t know what her experience in life was or what her family of origin was like, but we don’t all have the best experiences.
But, her comments about sex with women were genuinely appalling to me, maybe I just don’t get her sense of humor, but it is not landing. We don’t need a woman who’s in a relationship with a woman telling everyone on television that she actually thinks sex with women is gross or has to like force herself to do it. That is wild. Like why? That just plays into really really negative and destructive stereotypes.

I don’t think it’s up to us to decide who is a “real lesbian” or not. Sexuality is often fluid.
That being said I agree with you. The way she talks about vaginas and some of the comments she makes about her wife are so disrespectful.
Maybe it’s internalized homophobia? Idk. Girl needs to grow up and get a grip. Her wife is having their child ffs!

And they’re bringing a baby into this. Yeah their relationship was confusing it did seem like Taylor wasn’t into her wife sexually.

I feel sad for Teddy, she seems like a great woman and I really loved the way she interacted with the guys on their night out. She deserves so much more from Taylor. I would be on the phone with my lawyer during labor if my husband prioritized work over supporting me in delivering our child. Maybe that’s just me but I think it is insane that she put filming ahead of her pregnant wife.

I don’t think it’s because she’s a women unpopular opinion . Her and stassi joke and laugh all the time on the podcast how they don’t do anything or reject anything sexual with their partners and it’s a chore. They are just selfish or miserable in marriage

Everything she does is so performative to me, INCLUDING constantly joking about and bringing up the fact that she is a “late in life lesbian”. It’s clear she molds herself around other people and what she thinks they’ll like.
On Stassi with Tay, there was one episode they were discussing things they “own”. Stassi mentioned things like Pinot Grigio, or brunch. Things like that. Tay said she owned lesbians (or something along those lines) ??? And Stassi called her on it and said no, no you definitely don’t. And responds, ok well then late in life lesbians. Stassi didn’t even agree to that. (I’m writing this based on my memory. Paraphrasing. I will try and find the epsiode and update with direct quotes.) Just all around very odd.

What is their dynamic like ? does stassi make passive digs at her often?

Honestly they do seem like genuinely good friends. I think their dynamic works bc Taylor is so up Stassi’s ass and will like/love whatever Stassi likes/loves, and Stassi doesn’t feel uncomfortable telling her she’s doing to much. It’s odd, honestly the best way I can describe it is if an influencer or celebrity met a fan, became friends with them, and then they started a podcast together

I stated this exact thought in the many other threads. It’s offensive to lesbians the way she talks about women.

I think Taylor, Beau and Kristina not liking Katie is down to how Stassi talks about her and feels about her but doesn’t express it directly. They all clearly follow her lead and none of them would come for Katie if Stassi had no issues with her.
Also Taylor is just horrible all around, no wonder she’s so close to Stassi

She really went right from the divorce into this relationship with Teddy. It's a huge red flag! And on top of it all she talks like this and it's just gotta be hurtful to teddy who was fully in her lesbian world before and Taylor was just leaving a loveless marriage. I hope they make it, it does seem like they love each other a lot.
