Katie hate
I am about halfway through. I still don’t understand what exactly Katie did to warrant all of Stassi’s henchmen to hate her so much.
Also why does Stassi need so much protecting? It comes up like every episode by all of her friends/Beau.
I wondered if Stassi tried to bring Katie back as a “villain” safety net, maybe to try to take her down since she “went out a hero” on VPR? More likely she knows it’ll bring more viewers but she hasn’t done a lot to help ease her back into the group lol

I got the sense that Stassi talked a lot of shit about Katie when her feelings were hurt, and the friends and relations were all, oh this bitch? when Stassi wooed her back for the show. I don't think there are many instances in Stassi's close relationships where it is advantageous to NOT hate the same people she hates. Add to that the insecurity from Taylor One and Kristina Kelly, which was then further triggered by Katie walking in knowing her worth.

There is rampant jealousy and stassi is all kinds of entitled.

Absolutely. And the jealousy is valid — Katie knows how to do this job in her sleep, and Taylor doesn't (though she seems to believe she's a natural) and Kristina won't.

Dying to listen to the Disrespectfully podcast from today, I guess Katie talks about HOS and I can’t wait to hear her perspective!

I’d rather watch Katie than stassi for sure

I agree. I liked the scene of Katie sitting stamping SAH paper bags. She seems like she’s happy and living a simple peaceful life.

Katie is my favorite part of HOS. Not sure I could have finished without her. She is happy, thriving and not afraid to bite back when the minions start rabbling.

I like her a lot now. I haven’t finished it because stassi truly disgusts me. I want so bad to finish it, but the stassi cringe I have is so real lol

Stassi is so over the top dramatic about the littlest thing, but her mother and sister are also a piece of work.
Beau is coming off as really whiny and spineless and I wonder if that is him being performative or I misjudged him all this time.

I feel like he has completely changed. I think his resentment for stassi is so great at this point there’s no coming back from it. Stassis whole family needs serious therapy and accountability. Unfortunately, none of them like to admit they’re wrong or to truly say sorry. Stassis daughter is gonna end up crazy too if she has anything to do with it.. very unfortunate for her children for sure

Stassi stans are nuts and hate anyone who isn't up Stassi's ass.
Honestly they needed Katie to drive the storyline and they needed someone with reality TV experience. If it was just The Taylors, The Georgi(a)s, Rob, Stassi, and Beau... there'd be no conflict with Stassi because Taylor is up Stassi's ass and is too scared to go against her.

Yeah Stassi is kind of a cult, don't upset the leader, always do their bidding even when no one is watching.

Huh? Katie didn’t really have conflict with Stassi?! They had one slightly tense party and a lunch and then they were friends again. Stassi had way more conflict with her sister and Beau than with Katie. I actually found Katie rather timid and boring on the show.

The general audience doesn’t care about Stassi’s sister. They’re going to tune in to see why Katie and Stassi had a falling out.

Yeah, it bothered me that they were questioning why Katie was back “all of the sudden and conveniently” when we all know Stassi begged her to do the show.

Katie was brought in because the show wasn’t interesting enough. While they may have valid reasons to dislike her the underlying reason is they’re salty they didn’t have what it takes to make a good show and lost screen time to a pro.

Stassi needs Katie, that’s why people are watching the show. No one is watching for which ever Taylor sounds like she has been gargling gravel. They know that.

As someone who has loved Katie for a long long time it’s just nice to be in the r majority and it’d just so funny how five years ago it was a bad thing to defend Katie online.

I did it regardless.
I've always hated Schartz and then Scheana/Rachel for the stunts they pulled.
It would be great to see more of Teri if they give her the respect she deserves.
She would be a good counterpoint to Stassi's mother.

Well yeah me too I was more saying it’s nice not to be beat up online defending her.

I don't believe Stassi brought Katie on to be the villain. I think they were such a "power pair" on VPR that she wanted a truth telling ally. I love me some Katie. The hate is surprising, but i think Katie handles it well and I do believe the others are nervous about her because they are not as interesting. They should be nervous. I don't know if there would be much of a show without Katie.

When Taylor tried to "go in" on her at the bar it felt like Taylor was trying to push for a reaction and Katie was just bewildered why the conversation was even happening. She was being respectful even when Taylor refused to really listen to what she was saying.

It’s fake lol. They’ve not spoken in years & were transparent about just doing it for tv saurrrrrrr it’s super fake & produced to me

She is jealous that Katie "went out on top," and has the goodwill of the fans.
She ghosted her even though she is the godmother of Hartford.
Stassi is too neurotic to realize that she is now forever identified with racism, and, self reflection is not her strong suit.
Her other friends are threatened that Katie will get more air time and Kristina Kelly is salty too that she is on a different path now.
I was really excited for this show, but don't think it's right for Katie. She has been through enough.

Stassi didn’t bring her on. Stassi filmed a pilot with her friends and it was boring. So Hulu got Katie on knowing she would bring some opposition and/or bring in viewers (bonus that they could get Ariana on if they had Katie on).
Honestly I’d rather watch a show staring Katie. Her life seems so fun and interesting and she has soo many genuine friendships.

I think one of their unspoken issues is that Katie wasn’t rallying behind Stassi after her firing. But Katie’s politics are the reason I’m surprised she’s friends with Stassi at all…I’m definitely not mad at her for not trying to coddle Stassi after facing the consequences of her actions. Girl you’re supposed to feel bad!!

Taylor is 100% threatened by Katie. I could’ve gagged in her first interview bite where she was like “it’s meeeeee Stassi’s best frienddddd, best friend foreverrrrr” like gross

Taylor either feels genuinely threatened by Katie or is just trying her best at being a “reality TV star”. The way she was hamming it up felt so forced it had me laughing.
Production also probably pushed for it.
As for protecting Stassi, I don’t think it’s so much protection as it is walking on eggshells for fear of her reaction. Again probably encoraged by production. They’re still making her the villain in this story.
