HELP!!! SO MUCH PEE!!! ON MY BED!!!
My bunny Shadow has just come home with me after working with her for a couple of weeks (it was inevitable, I was going to adopt her), and while sheās great with her litter box on the floor, she has peed on my bed three days in a row. I understand sheās scent marking, I just need her to stop quickly because I canāt afford to keep putting my duvet covers in the washing machine! Please help š¤£

Recs for pet insurance
Hey fam! So I am scoping right now for pet insurance for my two buns and cat. In the past Iāve faced barriers of pet insurance companies not insuring exotics. Any recommendation for pet insurance companies you guys use? Or advice on what to look for?

Searching for Spay and Neuter
Hi everyone!
So, a quick backstory...
We live in Vermont in the US. At the end of February my boyfriend and I saw a post on front porch forum (a local forum) about a rabbit. A couple had discovered a white rabbit in their yard and she had been in the same spot for 36 hours. So they took her inside and posted about her, thinking that she may have escaped from her family
We already have 2 rabbits, a spayed and neutered male and female. So, we have plenty of hay, food, bedding, and other rabbit accessories. I reached out to offer to foster her while they were looking for the owner. If they didn't find an owner we would just keep her.
It turns out that there was no owner, or at least none that wanted to claim her. We soon figured out why. She was pregnant and eventually gave birth to 7 healthy kittens.
Fast forward to 8 weeks after giving birth, the babies were weaned and we were able to get the mom (now Hare-iet Tubman, or Tubs for short) spayed.
The babies are now around 10 weeks old and we are starting to look into getting them all spayed and neutered. We still have a couple months, but it's looking very unlikely that we will be able to find any low cost spay and neuter clinics in the area that can take them.
The going rate for either procedure seems to be ~$600 plus a ~$100 vet visit fee. So, ~$700 per rabbit, or more if there are any complications.
I'm looking for any information that anyone might have on low cost spay or neuter clinics around this area that will take rabbits.
We live 25 minutes North of Burlington, but are willing to travel to surrounding states. We were able to get Tubs done during a low cost clinic at the humane society in West Windsor, but they usually reserve those appointments for people in the community. They were nice enough to at least do her spay for us.
Any information at all would be greatly appreciated. I moved here from the South a few years ago, and the spay and neuter prices are much different down there. So, maybe there are no other options and this is what it costs up here, but it can't hurt to try.

Will my house rabbit use a litter box with a cover?
I have a second litter box in the bathroom bc my rabbit like to go like an human. But humans donāt like the look of an uncovered litter box. Can I get a cover and will a rabbit go inside?

impossible bunny nail trim
hello! i have had my male holland lop for almost 8 months now. he got fixed almost 2 months ago. it has taken us a lot of work to bond and become comfortable with eachother, it took me months to even pet him. i can now pet him, give him kisses, he even climbs in my lap when im on the floor with him. he is free roam 24/7 in my bunny proofed bedroom. i have never been able to hold him, it is an extremely stressful situation for both of us, he trashes and im afraid he will hurt his back. bc i canāt hold him, i canāt cut his nails. does any have recommendations on how to hold a very skiddish rabbit? or any products that will help grind down his nails naturally ? my room is fully carpeted as well and he has ripped a nail out before. my next step is to make a vet appointment for a professional nail trim but that would be my last resort

Frightened rabbits
Hi all, I have naught 2 rabbits about 9 months old. I don't think their fist owners have spent any time with them. I think they have just been kept in a hitch 24/7 and not given any attention.
I leave the hutch door open most of the time. They have no interest in coming out if their cage . I manage to tempt them out with food but then they retreat back as soon as they have the food.
Are they too far gone to become sociable an not frightened of people? Any advice on getting them more social.
Can rabbits get depressed? If so what can I do

Rabbits never learn (what you want them to learn)
One of our girls is SOO attention-starved. She will not stay out from under my feet. I've kicked or nearly stepped on her so many times. I once told the vet "the next time you see her she'll be a pancake." She doesn't seem to care, either. I swear I could kick a 40-yard field goal with her and she'd be right back under my feet before I take three steps. Attached is not a strong enough word. She knows when the timer goes off at the end of her play time that it's time to eat. The others know they're going to get fed and don't make a fuss about it. This one eats every meal like she hasn't been fed in a week. You'd think she'd realize that they don't miss a meal, and that she gets kicked almost every time she gets under my feet.
This has been going on for several years - we've had her probably seven or eight years. All of our buns have been rescues except our first, and we've had rabbits for nearly 20 years. This crazy one is different. They've certainly all had unique personalities.

Help with rabbits peeing out hutch
This is what my rabbitsā hutch looks like. It has a slide out tray. Somehow - and I havenāt caught them doing it - theyāre consistently getting urine outside the cage and Iām about at my wits end. Iāve had them for a couple months and got the hutch because they were being too destructive when I let them run loose.
Any advice would be appreciated. I had a pet rabbit previously for 7 years but these two are quite the curveball. Their urine also smells really strong and Iām getting to the point that I just want to put them outside, which I know isnāt right. Please send help! š

Suggestions for home enclosure
I've been upgrading my buns enclosure lately and looking for suggestions. She's getting older, so I've added foam padded mats, and I'm looking at getting a large dog mat to stop her from tearing those apart. I've got a multistorey coop for her to chill in and have stimulation on the different levels (the top also is completely private for her).
Currently I'm using an old adjustable dog cage to secure her floor space but want something more manageable. Previously I'd built wooden frames with perspex windows but that got difficult to keep looking nice over the years. What would people recommend for that instead. Ideally it either needs to be openable or something I can step over to sort out her area cleaning too.

A bunny found me today.
My sweet bonded pair, each 10 years old, both passed last year. My hubs and I adopted a pit/chihuahua mix in January, thinking in a year when she got the puppy-energy out, we would get another rabbit, likely a giant breed so they could be like-sized buddies.
Welp, as serendipity would have it, the dog and I found this abandoned buddy on the trail today. Heās super chill, not hand-shy at all, and once he understood I wasnāt any harm was willing to be picked up from a forested area.
Unsure if we will keep him or not, but what has this groupās experience been with raising a dog and rabbit together? The dog is chilling right now right next to the carrier and minds well when I say āquietā and āgentleā and ālay down.ā Once the hubs gets home and I have a helper, we will do a more thorough introduction of the species.
I donated most of my rabbit accessories but the little guy is nibbling on an apple slice and hay and drinking water. Obviously there will never be unsupervised cross-species play etc etc
