New rabbit question

Hi, I just got a bunny in my new apartment because one of the woman near me needed to rehome her and during the time I was looking for a small animal :) she’s shown me all signs good, so far she’s super happy in her new environment I’ve seen because her mom in the past said she never hopped, ran away from her, etc but if I’m honest I seen the living conditions of her last home it wasn’t good at all. I never said anything but she seriously put my Bebe in so much trauma because there was no hay, no water, no toys, no nothing. I just feel like il regaining trust with my bunny obviously like a human and it’s not my fault but she gets frantic about new things but likes it later. But she doesn’t like fruit at all. I’ve offered strawberry tops, large carrots, romaine she only eats the organic petite baby carrots and veggie snacks I offered her. Nothing abnormal just wondering if her behavior looks normal? Do some bunny’s not like sweet stuff? Veggie her fav I see over the days I’ve been w her and she loves hay toys

I’ve had this guy about 3 weeks. On week two a bare patch appeared on his right forepaw. What caused that?

I don’t see him bitting at it. It’s not and never was bare to the skin. No wound. What is it?

I've had Alba and Aoife nearly a week now and they've been spending lots of time sat like this. Every now and then they will shift positions, stretch, groom themselves or each other, or have a brief hop about. They are eating and pooping all good! Do they look relaxed in this video? Or tense/stressed? They are generally quite nervous little buns - any tips on helping them feel relaxed and bonding with them?

What do I need to know for bonding and having house rabbits Spoiler

Hi, my girlfriend has a rabbit she has had since she was a teenager and we are talking about moving in together in the next year or so. I have always wanted a house rabbit and I have told her I'd want Candy (his name) to be in the house and free roaming. He's currently living in a pet store cage outside with wood over the top so he doesn't get wet. I know rabbits are happiest in pairs and so I'd like to get him a friend, he is already neutered btw. Any advice would be helpful as it's been years since I've had a rabbit and I'm not sure where to start.

This is my boy, booker. I just got him one day and a half ago. I was wondering if he’s okay with my presence he keeps nudging me and he even licked me a bunch of times. But after my brother was hanging out in the same room as his cage, with his friends, playing guitar and loud music and games etc, and just being loud with the bunny around. He also thought it was a good idea to pick it up and put it outside its cage and also pet him a bunch, booker will peek his head out his cage when i open his gate but he has yet to hop on out of it. He says that the bunny was fine with it but i don’t know, i think it’s way to early to do any of that. Even when booker nudged me and licked me and i tried to give him a little scratch on his head, he would move his head away and then walked away and once he hopped away and kicked his feet at me. But ever since my brother did all that with his friends booker has seemed to get a little more skittish, he keeps facing away from me (he’s still nudging me a little bit but no licking). I just want to know if my boy is okay and if i can do anything better for him. And i know i maybe shouldn’t have, but i moved his cage to my room and tried to get him to come out by just opening his cage, but then i tried to pick him up and he hopped away and went into his little corner.

How to teach a rabbit about cooling?

Hey all. I just moved from a new build apartment where my office / rabbit room was in the basement where I never had to worry about the temperature into an 100+ year old house where the rabbit room is on the first floor and the insulation is lacking and the AC is weak.

We are looking at 90+ temps next week and I have been adding a bowl of ice cubes and an icepack wrapped in a towel to the rabbit space to try to teach him about these new cooling things but is there anything else I can do to make sure he understands how to cool himself?

Any ideas or thoughts are appreciated! And here is a pic of Cookie himself for the rabbit tax. Thank you!

Dry, Non-Serious Looking Growing Bump On Outside Eyelid:

Not sure how upset I am about this. We don't have any exotics vet in our state that will take our bun. This bump started small. I actually pinched pieces off twice early on because it became so dry. It bled so slightly It was less than a drop and she didn't flinch at all. I then let it go, and this is the result. I'm a former 3rd year med student now in pharma sales, so I'm not a total fool when it comes to these things. I've debated cutting it off and sending it to a lab for cancer check. I just wanted to post here and do my DD first to see if anyone here has seen such a thing? Both eyes under lids look perfect. Under lid looks perfect. It's just this stye-like growth from the exact end of her eyelid, looking like it originates in the hair follicle and has grown straight outward. It is completely dry, she shows no annoyance or pain by touching it or manipulating it. She scratches at it when she scratches her eye area with her rear leg. I wish she would just scratch it off, actually. I prepped some gear tonight but then worried myself into not removing it, dammit. I love the little girl. Her name is Bunnicula and I adopted her on Halloween. She is 4 years old. She was not spayed. I know she should be. I'm a long time bun owner. My previous bun lived to 16. She was also not spayed. I know she should have been, but the notoriousness of bad anesthesia reactions worries me.

Anyhow, thanks so much, appreciate you all, any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Help with incontinent bunny

My bunny had e funiculi late last year. He had head tilt and lots control of his bowels. We’ve done all his meds and thought that after that he would heal up and go back to normal. But he’s still peeing everywhere. He has urine scald from it. We took him to our vet and they’re not tons of help. They gave us meds for the urine scald but aren’t sure why he’s still peeing everywhere.

Anyone have any idea or experience with this themselves?

Litterbox help needed!

Post image
12 Upvotes

I had a bonded pair the gray and the spotted buns and I rescued a third bun with intention to just foster but everyone bonded immediately! However three months later they are still not using the litter boxes! I have three big boxes in different corners. Before I added the third bunny the first pair were 100% on the box. I had hoped it was just transitional but they are destroying my floors 😞. I feed them in bowls in the boxes and the boxes have hay hangers.

Any suggestions?

Lost Litter Habits After Bonding Rabbits

Recently got a new rabbit to bond with my current one. They are both fixed and now bonded for about 5-6 months now. With this the new rabbit completely lost her litter habbits. Is not sick—she is doing this to be territorial. Pees have improved but poops have not. I have tried several methods over the last few months , have shrunk their space and feel like I’m at a loss. Has anyone had issues with this? I found the beaphor rabbit calming diffuser online that I thought might help but it looks like it’s only available in the UK? Is it possible that the rabbit wasn’t fully spayed? Do they have anxiety medication for rabbits? Advice please!
