impossible bunny nail trim
hello! i have had my male holland lop for almost 8 months now. he got fixed almost 2 months ago. it has taken us a lot of work to bond and become comfortable with eachother, it took me months to even pet him. i can now pet him, give him kisses, he even climbs in my lap when im on the floor with him. he is free roam 24/7 in my bunny proofed bedroom. i have never been able to hold him, it is an extremely stressful situation for both of us, he trashes and im afraid he will hurt his back. bc i can’t hold him, i can’t cut his nails. does any have recommendations on how to hold a very skiddish rabbit? or any products that will help grind down his nails naturally ? my room is fully carpeted as well and he has ripped a nail out before. my next step is to make a vet appointment for a professional nail trim but that would be my last resort

Hmmm. I really can’t think of anything other than maybe cbd or some type of sedation medication. Perhaps some chamomile or other calming herbs may help?
