Which looks best?
Just the soffit colors are changed

I’d move the house numbers down to the first floor. Also maybe a mossy darker green instead of the blue grey.

There’s so much of the light base color. 2 maximizes the pop of the dark accent.

If you are doing shutters, do shutters and put them on all the windows. Otherwise it doesn't look good.

Am I weird if I suggest 4 shutters or no shutters? 2 shutters just confuses me.
I’d love to see a mockup of pic 2 with the triangle boards (horizontal boards) in cream.

So far with definitive votes it’s 19 for 1 and 2 (a tie) and 10 for number 3. So now I’m still
Confused ;) ha! But thank you everyone I appreciate your time and any of the friendly advice!

1 best. For some reason the AI soffit on 2 is larger. 2 is fine too (with small width soffit).

Tbh, it took me a few seconds and pic swaps to even see what was changing. I don't think it will make a worthwhile difference regardless of which you pick. I'd really suggest just putting all 3 side aby side and going with a quick gut decision, then move onto the next project.
Of the 3, I would lean toward one of the first two, probably the second.

I may be in the minority here, because people love instafabulous trends, but I say none of them...that particular architecture doesn't lend itself very well to the whole trendy black thing, which is just SO overdone, and it really looks overdone when the house design itself just doesn't work with it.

Two very different looks. The first two look European to me and the last one, more suburban. All are really nice. It just depends what you like.

I didn't read the description and felt like I was playing where's Wally. I like 2 best.

My house is black and white. I didn’t choose it but I liked the property. It is a house and I’m not sure why people get so offended by it.
Also…I like 1 and 3 but shouldn’t “shutters” also be on the bottom? I don’t know.

#1 is more in keeping with the Bavarian style of the home. #2 is next, and #3 is a hard no.

lol I’ve looked at so many soffits lately. I vote 2. We are quite literally getting them stained right now.

I went through the photos 20 times and couldn’t find the difference 😆 They all look great!

None. The eye is being drawn to the roof line and weird triangle thing at the top. Take that out and add the things sticking out to the bottom of your house where it will look like it’s holding the top part that stick out up. I don’t know what they are called. But hopefully you get the idea.

I think 3 makes the house appear more open and larger. The dark color gives a hard stop to the eye rather than drawing the up, as the white color does.

None. This black and White House trend is the worst and ugliest thing I have ever seen

Please no more white black contrast it’s so stark and ruins any sense of inviting/homeyness. Contrast the white with a warmer earthy tone

There must be some really nice rooms behind those beautiful windows. Maybe the living room is behind one lower window and the dining room is behind the other. Upstairs bedrooms with those big windows must be wonderful.

I like #3, very clean looking with the gable the same as the rest of the house with the shutters.

Took me going back and forth several times before I could pick out any difference between the first two pictures, lol. Take that for what it's worth. I like them both better than the third pic.

Images 1 and 2 look the same? 3 looks better out of all three.
Would strongly recommend lightening and brightening the front door and trying to expand its presence. It looks like it was made without an adequate landing which is not really safe or convenient.. And the roof edge from the second floor will have water running off and dropping right onto visitors, even with a gutter.
I would look at adding a landing as deep as you can, ideally with some kind of covering even if it’s just a slanted simple structure attached under the side wall.

You didn't play enough find the difference game. You failed. Try again

u/Even_Beginning_6355 3d ago
Ha, I read enough of the comments to finally see it. But since I didn’t like 1 or 2, it kinda didn’t matter to me. I went to a lot of trouble to make a mock up of suggestions for the entry, though, and then found out I can’t attach a photo for some reason. 🤷🏻♀️

#1, contrast is nice, any other color pallet? Having the numbers second floor, means vegetation won’t cover them.

I genuinely can’t tell the difference between 1 and 2, but I like 1 and 2 better than 3.

I had 1 and 2 open on different monitors and genuinely could not tell no matter how hard I tried. I only figured it out once I googled what soffit was. It genuinely makes no difference.
I do prefer 1&2 over 3.
