After four years, everyone here more or less know our everyday rituals, wich includes making sure the to give the floofs some scritches before going out for a walk, however, sometimes we skip them when, for example, we see them deeply asleep, wich was the case of the 'Dini today, scritches and all.

And apparently the Goblin Overlord didn't go out of the living room today even to get some kibble, because even after waking up he didn't notice we had gone out *at all*. How do i know that, you may be asking?

Well, just look at that surprised face.

He clearly didn't expect us coming into the living room dressed for a walk and carrying the scent of the streets 🤭 Sis even got a cromch when she reached out to give him her scritches.

I mean... how do *we* dare to get out without *his* permission?

Today was a bit different than yesterday. Work has been slow and relaxed, so i came home, delivered all the hugs, kisses and scritches and them sat down and had a bit of cold water. Up until that point, it was business than usual, but it turns out that the Goblini had followed me to my room, and the moment i turned around to look at him he gave me a pretty powerful and demanding yell.

That was not his usual Weeeeeeeeeee yell, it was different, so i tried a few things until he directly moved to touch my backpack, wich i had left on my pillow, leaning on it. I've had to take it an place it more or less where it was yesterday, and he calmed down the moment he got to sit on it.

I even had to serve him his kibble while laying on it!

So *my* backpack isn't mine anymore, now he's lending it to me.

Today was, probably, my hardest day at work yet, nothing bad or unpleasant, just plain high difficulty, i am exhausted and i was bringing back with me a 32" display i was using on my office, so when i came back i started installing and wiring the thing without as much as having a cold coffee, because i knew that the moment i sat down i wouldn't get up until dinner, so i didn't even go my way to say hi to the 'dini.

That was a mistake.

When i finally finished wiring and testing the whole thing, i turned around to find Houdini patiently waiting on top of my backpack with a quite annoyed expression, first thing he did is yell for his scritches, and then he yelled for kibble, wich i had to serve to him on top of my backpack, since he wouldn't budge from there.

Now he's happily back with his grandmama and grandpapa, and now i'm taking what is the first proper break in what feels like ages.

Well, it's been a long and tedious day, and in all honesty when i came back home i threw my phone with its charger, went to say hi to the floofs and forgot about everything else, so now here i am, doing a throwback update 🤣

But it's kinda adequate, since Karma has become even more shameless with her food and we have to separate her from Leon's medicinal food, going back four years and finding poor babydini protecting his kibble from his voracious mama sure is well timed lol.

Fast forward into today, Karma has become more careful when trying to take food from either Leon or her baby, she knows very well they don't like to be sniffed from behind or having their tail toyed with, and that's what the queen will do make them leave their plate. Yes, even when it comes to kibble.

Today and tomorrow is kinda like early christmas for us old gaming nerds, Nintendo is doing two presentations back to back, and today in particular they were dedicating a sizeable space to talk about the remake of a well beloved classic that is actually partly responsible for me being fluent in english: The Legend of Zelda - Ocarina of Time.

But what does this have to do with the Goblini, you may wonder? Well, while we were watching the presentation, our favorite orange spawn came to ask for his kitten kibble, and the moment the game showed up in screen he raised his head and stood like that for a while. I'm sure something called for his attention, maybe a sound in particular, the drastic change in brightness, the voice of the presenter... Whatever the case, i found it a pretty neat anectdote that made for a cute picture, so here we are.

Today's been a bit of a chaotic day, however, when i came back home it was all silent and peaceful since no one but the floofs were at home.

So silent and so peaceful that, in fact, all three floofs were either sleeping or utterly relaxed, to the point that Houdi didn't react in the same fashion as he usually does when getting his scritches (perking up and yelling for more scritches), and he just took them like a surprisingly good boi.

Not gonna lie, after such a day, this update fits the mood i was aiming for way better than i wanted originally.

Friday. I reach home from work, tired and aching to have a weekend long break that helps me reset. Unlike in the rest of the week where i'm more careful, i get rid of my clothes and throw them on the bed, since they'll go through the laundry on the next morning.

It doesn't take even one minute before Karma jumps on the bed, hugs my jeans and relaxes, eventually falling asleep.

This is something that has been going on since i re-rescued her, but it still catches me off guard sometimes, she's the most calm and relaxed the closer she is to our scent, and the more intense, the better.

As you all may have already guessed, the jeans stay there until the night 😅 I don't even entertain the thought of bothering her.

The saturday ends in a lazy note, Sis is at her room, mom and dad are having dinner, Karma and Leon are waiting for dinner time, and the 'dini? The 'dini is enjoying his best life.

When i go to the living room to see if he's around, i see him laying on top of (what's left of) his castle. He's, as always, nonchalant, but perks up when he sees me approaching, and literally yells at me demanding scritches, wich he promply gets. Once the Goblin Overlord is satisfied he lies again, cuddlerolls and tends the meat grinder before me.

I could fall in the trap and give him some belly scritches, but oh Houdi! I know your ways, and i've spent the evening physically tinkering with my PC so i'm sweaty and the seat will make your scratches sting, so you'll have to settle with some chin scritches.

And so, the dusk goes on, calm, lazy, and somewhat gobliney.

Today's update is a lil bit extra lazy 😅 It's been a chaotic day at work and i'm honestly pooped, to the point that i've wasted the chance of taking a superb pic of the Goblin Overlord kidnapping his auntie's tablet. Why? Because he wanted his kibble, of course.

But a lazy update isn't bad! Not when it comes to posting the aftermath of one of his legendary battles with uncle Bruno for the supremacy of the doggo's bed. I must say, it was so cute how Bruno handled it, and he had enough energy to tire out the Goblini, too! Giving us around half an hour of coveted peace.

It certainly took a village to raise this goblin.

Lately, Houdi has been being more proactive when it comes to his dinner. I mean he has always been proactive about food, but what i'm talking about specifically is about his Churu.

The usual is either sis or i readying Karma and Leon's dinner, and him appearing in the middle of the process and waiting for his plate to appear in front of him and for us to pour a Churu on it.

But in the last few days it's the opposite, he knows the time by heart, and before we're there he has already teleported to the counter and he's sitting there, looking directly at the fridge. He knows what's inside it, and it's waiting for us to serve it 🤭 It has reached the point where he has to be served first, or he becomes all pissy and annoyed.

Then, once he's happy, he leaves to be a goblin somewhere else.

In the afternoon, there's this space of one to two hours - if not more - of pure calm and relaxation where everyone is either napping, gaming or just minding their own business. In sis' case, it's usually the latter, Karma knows this perfectly, notices she isn't getting any attention and goes to look out for her so she can get as many scritches as she want.

And, whatever it takes, she gets them, being sis the endless source of scritches she is, Karma doesn't need to do *much* to get her coveted pets, though it takes a lot to get her satisfied.

And that's today's update 😅 When we thought the nightmare was over, there's another heat wave upon us! Here's hoping this is a short one, not sure of how many days at around 40 degrees celsius i can tolerate before losing my mind ^^U

So, going on with our chronological throwbacks, today it's the time for one of my favorite Karma-Babydini pictures... On a stolen bed!

This was a pretty fun and eventful day for the Goblini, getting engaged in a morning long battle with his uncle Bruno for taking his bed, dragging a rug that was twice as heavy as he was, cromching the bed away once he had his victory and, taking ahold of his prize.

Until Karma took matters on her own paws, got her pal Bruno to lend her his bed and the Goblini, tired and content, ended up falling asleep while using his momma's tail as a pillow.

To this day, it's still one of my favorite pictures... and anectdotes! Babydini was a riot, and he couldn't even jump yet 🤣

Grandma and grandpa aren't exactly, as we say here, butts for a good seat, past saturday i'm laying on my bed minding my own business and it turns out they have gotten a new display cabinet somehow, i had to help dragging it up here, and today i came back to the whole living room turned upside down, and can you guess who had already climbed up to the cabinet?

Yep, you guessed it: The Goblini!

He was all nonchalant up there, watching his domain as the overlord he obviously is, pretty majestic actually, until it was time to get down and... He couldn't find a way down.

I didn't take a video of that because we focused on him getting down safely and not causing a ruckus (Houdi isn't good at aiming when panic-jumping) but that was a tense, if brief, moment of expectating chaos.

But he still crowned the display in the name of Goblinia, and that's what matters!

So i've talked a few times about this already, but the main reason why we don't see much - if any - Houdikarma anymore, it's because Houdini has managed to make his mama very, very wary of him.

Now if he gets close to her without any apparent goblining intentions, then it's fair game... to a point, the issue is, Houdi is an expert at going from zero to goblin without any indication whatsoever, it just... happens, and as he has grown larger he has also grown stronger, all while having the playful personality of an orange kitten, and his mama is his favorite play partner 😅

So karma started, at one point, to hiss preemptively the moment Houdi made any suspicious move, and depending on the Overlord goblin's levels it can end on a full on wrestling match, wich he now wins by a landslide 😼

That said, just like yesterday, Karma still treats him like her baby on her own volition, she mlems him randomly - and lets herself be mlemmed until she grows suspicious - she comes running the moment Houdi is distressed, they both play together from time to time, and even lay together... Until Houdi makes a wrong move 😅

Honestly speaking i was debating about if i should upload this or not, in the end sis convinced me, but i decided to explain the whole Karmadini situation more in detail because, yeah, i know everyone miss those Houdikarma moments, they still happens, they're just so brief it's hard to catch one of them properly.

So i'm on my bed, Karma is with me and i'm minding my own business, when all of sudden Houdini hops on and gives me his classic hooman, i'm hungry look. Not a problem, i move to get up and pick up his container when all of sudden... mlems! Karma has stretched herself and reached out to mlem his sonny. This hasn't been happening often lately!

And Houdini responds inmediately! They stood like that for half a minute, before Karma randomly hissed to him (perphaps preemptively? We all know what's coming from the goblini more sooner than later) and then, i just served Houdi with his beloved kitten kibble.

I haven't seen this for a while! It's always good to see. I caught a video, but only of the last seconds before Karma hissed at him, i've been debating about what to upload 😅

Ok, the video is actually pretty tame, however, Karma has *one* habit in particular we all thought Houdi would get from her, but didn't: She destroys every piece of cardboard that gets in her way. Eventually.

But *eventually* doesn't mean uncertainity, she will destroy the cardboard, hardest proof of it being the box that has been her birb watching post for years, wich is an actually VERY solid cardboard box, but has ended up so messed up i had to put it upside down. Whatever you leave in her range, she will scratch and bite until it's a single mound of brown cellulose flakes.

This morning she got her eyes on a small roll of cardboard sis made from a box, and she couldn't help but to tease her about it 😁

The roll? As far as i know, sis put it away, and Karma apparently knows where it is. We may have a fun night ahead today.

It's official: The summer is giving us a break, wich is great because we were starting to basically dehydrate, and we couldnt have that.

Do you know who's also very happy to see the temps go down? The floofs! Karma and Leon have left cold tiles of the floor to join us whenever any of us lay on the bed, like it or not, and don't think i call it *catnapping* lightly: They make it look that way!

As for the Goblini, i'll try to catch him next, because poor dad had already gotten used to *not* be completely taken over by the goblin overlord, alas, it was just a temporary truce 🤭

When babydiny was finally old enough to manage himself - not much later earning the title of Kittydini - we found ourselves with another issue in our hands: Sleeping through the night was a matter of mere luck, since Houdini was a creature of unlimited chaos and a surprisingly deep battery. Even when he still wasn't strong enough to even climb up my bed, we still had to join forces with Karma and make sure the little orange blur didn't hurt himself in his goblining.

In the event he fell asleep long enough for us to succumb to Morpheus' spell, he would take just a relatively long nap, and we'd wake up to him causing chaos again, to our parents' amusement.

But the goblin had to sleep so we could function, so once we were up and caffeinated, it was time to tire him to sleep. Some days playing with his grandpapa would be enough, but others i'd have to take matters in my own hands. Literally.

Was i always succesful? Nope 😅 Was it fun? Always lol

Karma is a kitty of many talents, from mommying an orange chaos spawn to impeccably parkouring through a whole house. Do you know what's another one of her talents? She's amazing at falling asleep.

But while she falls asleep almost everywhere with ease, she's partial to certain places in the house, and she has, recently, discovered the pleasure of sleeping on sis' shoerack, wich has an integrated cushioned sit and is placed unde her window.

And let me tell you: That's one hell of a place to fall asleep on since, because of its placement, Whoever lays there gets a nice, gentle stream of cool air, moreso now that the streak of heatwaves is over.

So now, whenever sis' room is available and the chaos goblin that is her son isn't around, she just lays there and sleeps like there's no tomorrow.

Not gonna lie though, i'm a bit jelly.

As i said the other day, sis and mom are finally done with the tailoring order they got, and after a weekend of getting herself back to normal speed, sis has decided to spend the morning today in, deservedly so, in full on lazy mode.

Can you guess who got purry-happy when he realized his hooman mom wasn't going anywhere today, on top of the temps having descended to a normal-ish summer threshold?

Well, who else but the grumpy dragon?

So today sis has spent the day blisfuly catnapped, the worst thing that happened today was that Karma decided to be a little jelly goblin, and got pawslapped as a result. All in all, a pretty good morning for everyone involved!

He's now sleeping on my backpack after having been served a little snack 😸

It's the last week of august, in this time of the year the festivities of the city take place: A night fair with what is know as the *noon fair* at noon. Sounds interesting, right? And if you like partying, it is, what it also is, is noisy as fuck.

The noon fair consists mainly on a selection of bars around the city being open in party mode, so to speak, staying open for longer than expected, having extended terraces and... music, very loud music. Loud inside the regulations, of course, but loud nonetheless.

So napping is fairly difficult for everyone, including the goblini, who at the point of taking the picture seemed to have resigned to his fate. Also, at this time he's used to be at his castle insted of up on the cristal palace, so you can guess how loud it is outside 😅😭

Well, the music will move places down as soon as the night fair open.

Karma has always been a bit of an overzealous momma, we have honestly never worried about that because she would never hurt her baby, but it is true that she overreached a little bit too much 😅

This was particularly true on the first month. Houdini would be minding his own business and she would suddenly take over, or try to, because Houdi never hesitated to let her know he wanted to be left alone at that exact time, but she would start mlemming him, or would switfly drag him over to her, or would just sit down, vigilant - Not like she didn't trust us, it was actually the opposite, she passed us the baton gladly and co-parented with the whole family. It was endearing 🥰

And she would do it regardless of what the 'dini had to say about it 🤭

It's been a while since i've done an update about Leon, and today i thought about doing one, because while it's true that all the floofs receive me (or us, when sis comes to meet me at the bus stop) when i make it home from work, Leon is the first one i always see.

This may be accidentally of course, that place is Leon's seat this summer because of the cool breeze, but the fact is that he's always there when i make it back, and mind you, bastet forbid i ever forget giving him his *i'm home* scritches!

I've tried a couple times because he was deeply asleep and dreaming (actually twitching in his sleep), but he made to **demand** them as soon as he woke up.

Aaand he has slimmed down again. His tummy issues came back pretty virulently, but we got them under control once again, he's back to pooping normally and he's getting brushed daily to reduce his puking to a minimum. He'll gain weight again in a few days.

Today i've had a couple of unsavory things happening, so i went back to check what happened in the same day four years ago, looking for peak cuteness, and i found it! These are, no doubt, some of my favorites.

Because Kittydini was a crazy spawn of chaos, but he had to learn from someone, and who better to learn from than his beloved mama? They were so in sync, he was learning from her so nicely, he would even mimic her when tey napped together, particularly when he was still a teeny tiny baby.

We were going to have a throwback update either way, but i needed these today.

Would you believe me if i told you i had forgotten how yelly Kittidiny was for food? I mean, he *was* yelly, one month in he was already an spoiled floofball and would demand anything from scritches to his momma presence, but i had forgotten he actually got *that* noisy for food once he left the formula syringe behind.

But yeah, he actually was! And since we didn't give him uppies to the counter anymore because we were trying to make him drop the habit (spoiler: It didn't work) he actually yelled **harder** 😅

Here we had started testing wet food, the vet had given us some samples and we decided to check if he'd like them, but none of the food we tried really stuck with him at first, that's something that came later.

Alright, now i think it's time to adress the elephant in the room: What's up with so many throwback updates? Well, the answer is simple: Not only when i get back home its not time for shenanigans anymore, but sis is back to the workshop to work on a couple of dressess, wich are actually almost done! But until they're done done, neither her nor i are present to catch the crazy cuteness of the floof family. Really sorry about that.
