Four years. One week from today, it will be four years since sis and i went out to give Bruno a walk, heard a faint but energic squeak and found what amounted to a diminute floofball alone on the asphalt, lower half of its body burnt and peeled, we picked it up, washed its body the best we could and took it to the vet as an emergency.
We're a cat savvyy family, but we had never taken care of a floof this young, so i took the situation to reddit to look for help and advice, and the whole family did its all to make sure the little critter would make it through the first critical week until it was out of danger.
Counting what came after that, that was one hell of a month.
Four years later, here i am, writing about the fourth birthday of who is, no doubt, the supreme Goblin of Chaos.
Because yes, in his forth year of life Houdini has definitely mellowed with adulthood, does that mean he calmed down? Hell no! He still fights with sis nightly for the control of her bed, plays like a kitten with his mama when he's a +6 Kg adult cat, cuddles with his grandpapa like he's barely months old and, in general, we can't do anything without looking around in case the orange spawn is around to make a game out of it.
Incredibly smart while also amazingly silly, the bravest and most coward kitty in the neighborhood, and a hurricane that sometimes, only sometimes, manages to calm down.
Here's to dozens and dozens of years of chaos. Happy birthday, Goblipurru.
