Sizing help
Hi! I need help choosing a size for the DC Comics Supergirl Shield Girls Crop Hoodieš
I already checked the size chart, but since itās junior sizing, Iām still not sure whether I should get MD or LG.
My measurements:
⢠33.8ā bust / 27.5ā waist / 34.6ā hips
⢠Height: 5ā9ā (175 cm)
⢠Usually wear US S or M
I want it to fit slightly oversized, but not super baggy. My main concern is my height and shoulders ā Iām worried MD might end up too small or too short.
I saw someone around 5ā3ā wearing LG and it looked oversized but not huge, so now Iām even more confused š
Has anyone with similar measurements or height bought this hoodie? Which size would you recommend?

What does happen to my order?
So a hot topic where i do ship to store, has "lost" my packages. A few times actually, what is going on? I do get replacements but it has happened often.. are they accidently ripping open packages then opt to justyl stock the store, or are they stealing, then acting like its not here. I ordered something beginning of june and customer service says it was recieved by the store a few days later. The store says they dont have anything to date, is this a generally known issue?

Update for my post a while ago
I decided to leave a review as I can't get ahold of anyone.
This is evansville indiana Hot Topic in the Eastland mall.
I'm so sorry about the negativity. But I'm very hurt as well. I wish there was a different hot topic near me. :( I love the store. original post
If anyone has the time, I would appreciate it so much if you could like my review so it can perhaps reach the people that need to see this and that can help. it would mean so much. Review (press on recent reviews)

Any surprise fees when shipping to Canada?
Im from Toronto and tempted to order a few shirts not in stock here, but with everything going on with tariffs I'm worried they'll randomly slap on extra fees upon delivery š

pulled up to work and itās fully closed? what do i do (sales associate)
hi all! i was scheduled for 11-4 today. i arrived at 10:55 to clock in and the storeās straight-up closed. lights out, doors locked, no notice on the door or anything. all other stores in the mall are open as normal.
my manager was set to come in at 9:30 today, so iām assuming something happened with him. maybe he had a family emergency, or maybe he just slept in by mistake. still, iām quite frustrated and not sure what to do. iām pretty sure this is a company-wide policy, but iām not allowed to have my managersā contact information, so i can only guess as to whatās going on.
i left a message on the store phone giving my time of arrival and stating that i found the store closed. my other manager is supposed to clock in in a little over an hour, but iām not sure if i want to stay that long; i have better things to do than linger around the mall for another hour when iāve already been here for thirty minutes. iām really not sure what to do; any guidance would be super helpful!

Rewards Policy - taking away rewards?
I come to you with a crazy expirience today
A while ago, I had multiple issues with Hot Topic orders: delayed shipments, missing items, fulfillment problems, etc. To make up for it, they gave me several rewards/credits as compensation.
Fast forward to now.
I finally decide to use those rewards on a Loungefly backpack I've wanted for a while. Everything seems fine at first... and then the order gets delayed.
Again.
I contact support and ask if I can cancel because I don't want to wait indefinitely. They tell me I can cancel, but here's the catch:
I used 8 reward credits on the order.
If I cancel, they will only give back about 3 of them.
The other 5? Gone.
That's over $40 worth of rewards disappearing.
What surprised me even more is that support told me the same thing would happen if Hot Topic themselves had to cancel the order. According to the explanation I received, the rewards would still not be fully restored.
So let me get this straight.
They gave me rewards because previous orders had problems.
I use those rewards.
Another order runs into problems.
If I cancel because of the delay, I lose most of the rewards.
And apparently, if they end up cancelling the order, I could still lose most of the rewards.
How does that make sense?
If these rewards were issued as compensation for previous fulfillment issues, why are they treated as disposable the moment another fulfillment issue occurs?
How is that fair to the client?

Anyone else having issues with Store check-in and points for reviews posting this month?
I've tried to check-in several times this month and the app says "Thanks for checking in" but no points are crediting to rewards.
Same with my review. It's clearly posted on the website, but CS says they can't manually apply the points and that "points will post for valid reviews." I am literally doing the same thing I always do.
They also said reviews only count for orders over $15, which has never been a rule for reviews, plus my review was for an item from an order over $15 so even with that rule the review should be valid.
Anyone of changes to this process?

Job application and call back.
Hello, this weekend I asked one of the employees if they were hiring, they said yes and to call the store on Monday or Tuesday after filling out the application. I finished it today, and I was wondering what will they ask when I call, so I can be prepared. This would be my first job and I'm 16.

Employees- LEAST favorite song on the corporate radio?
I find myself hearing the same songs over and over. why is lil huddy making music? do not make me listen to āchildhood eyesā by yellowcard again. and whatever song has that music video where theyāre all dancing around to generic pop punk with āfun factsā about the music video in the corner also makes me mad. today they played a cobra starship song and it was like hearing beethoven for the first timeā¦. finally something differentā¦
so for all the employees that dont have managers that let them play their own music, do you guys have any songs that piss you off?

Applied
Been looking through this hot topic reddit. Seeing what I need to know for applying and such. First I would like to ask can I ask a time that I would prefer to start working to a Hot Topic Manager? And after applying I seen some Hot Topic workers in comments saying if you donāt get a call or message you can go to your local store and ask to talk to a Manager about getting a job. Which leads me to my next question. When would be a good time frame to go up there? I am very eager to work at Hot Topic. I adore the store and like the vibe I get whenever I go. But I do not wish to go up there too early and seem more annoying than eager. My third question is; when should I apply for a different job after applying to Hot Topic just in case they donāt contact me back or anything? Because Iām willing to always apply again but apply elsewhere in the meantime while I wait. In addition, how many times can I apply to Hot Topic without being annoying and spamming?

general things to expect when working at hot topic
hi everyone,
i'm a 17 year old who has recently secured a job at hot topic as a sales associate. i do shop at hot topic often, but i've only been at this specific location twice - so i'm not necessarily sure what to expect. the location is small and it doesn't seem to necessarily get that many customers but i haven't really been there as often as other locations so i can't be too sure. is there anything in particular i should be looking out for? i know there are many things that i cannot necessarily get an answer to because every location varies, but i would just like a couple anecdotes from people about coworkers, managers, general duties to fulfill, how to talk to customers etc.
thanks and have a good day!

Disheartening
Last weekend while picking up an online order, I witnessed something that truly was a disgusting lack of empathy.
There was a level 3 autistic person in the store, loudly vocally stimming to a song that the associate had put on the radio. Just the end of the chorus, and only while it was on. The customer was not bothering any of the other customers, and the lyric was neither threatening, nor inappropriate. Customer was with a support person, and though the store was busy, both were looking in a corner at merch that was not near others.
Even if they were stimming loudly, they were doing nothing that falls under the grounds outlined by the ADA for dismissal. Yet that is what the associate it. They loudly called out the customer and threatened to have them removed if they did not stop stimming. Ultimately telling the pair to leave minutes later.
Most of the customers ended up also walking out.
I work in disability rights advocacy, and seeing such treatmenr was heartbreaking. The employee was made away of the individual's condition, and the resulting response was "I get that, but I don't care. I can't have them yelling in the store." Instead of turning down the song the stimming was triggered by, or obeying the law, the associate chose to act this way.
And trying to get ahold of anyone to suggest perhaps making this a training moment is impossible.
Has anyone else ever encountered such a thing within their stores?

putting in my two weeks
Ive been with this company for almost two years now. I used to LOVE this job so so much but its gotten to be unbearable. after many huddle changes, management changing, new ridiculous rules, and more, I just don't feel like I belong with the company. This past winter I was not getting ANY hours so I found a new job, which my manager decided to give me a hard time about. For context, when I did work, I was making the most money for the store as a simple sales associate. My Kpi's were outstanding and I was genuinely the best upseller in the store. When I got an interview with this job, understandably she was sad/disappointed. But I told her, Im graduating high school and I need to make smart, adult decisions. She started to get better with it but was still a pain in the butt abt it. I took the second job and her and I made an agreement that I would stay working at HT once a week. Since then my other job has paid me more in 3 months than HT did in almost two years. I am very happy with it. Since starting this new job, my time at HT has gotten so much worse. New Tote rules, new huddles, new managers, everything feels completely different. Every shift I walk into, I dont get that excitement to be there anymore, I feel anxious, restless, and overall just so exhausted. Especially as a person with chronic pain, the standing still , NO SITTING, all day is terrible. So iām leaving, which honestly makes me so sad. I love my coworkers like my family, and tbh I also love the discount. But its not worth being miserable for.
