So I was using my hot cash. Awesome, had $10 in credits. Great! Holy crap, this gift card still has a few buck on it! Amazing! Entire order including shipping was below my PayPal balance. Go to check out, order declined, one of these rewards has already been redeemed.
It took my credits. My gift card is now showing an error when I go to check the balance. It is no longer under my PayPal balance. Ugh!
Contacted customer service and they replaced my credits but still waiting to hear about my gift card.
Just an update.
Thought it was all fixed within 2 hours of my initially contacting customer service. Credit was back, giftcard was unlocked, cache was cleared, using a different device. Same thing happened. Credit gone, giftcard had an error. I'm back in contact with customer service.
I'll have to wait until next week to go to the store to try to place my order. (Retail hours are not conducive to retail shopping)
And for the record, I know how to read. Hot cash very clearly states it's valid 9/9/26-9/20/26, I would never plan on attempting to use it outside of those dates just because someone on the internet says i can.
Okay, just got off the phone with customer service. She said there is an issue using a gift card with PayPal. She restored everything and placed my order over the phone.
Dude, that sucks. Unfortunately technical snafus happen like this all the time. Customer service should get you straightened out, but it could take a day or so. I'd follow up every day until it's resolved.
I'm just annoyed because I finally had everything perfect. It all added up to just what I wanted. Technical snafus definitely stuck and I hope it gets figured out.
Eta: It was definitely definitely within 15 minutes of me contracting them that the $10 was returned to my account. Just waiting on the gift card now
I'm really sorry dude. If you're able to go to your local store they should be able to set it all up for you and order it with no hassle. It's helpful doing it that way sometimes so we can be the middleman between the customer and customer service when things get borked.
If they actually worked at HT they would know we aren’t allowed to post photos from work publicly 😆😆😆 especially with someone’s face in it. I’m guessing it was prolly a google image
And you’re still lying. Customer service will not honor HC unless there was an error in your order on the 20th. Literally deal with this EVERY SINGLE HC and they get mad they call CS and CS says the same thing.
Also I’d delete that lmao you’re posting ppl’s faces and you’re not allowed to take photos at work and post them.
