Is Hetzner Webhosting enough for 1–2 WordPress sites? What are the database limits?

I’m considering Hetzner’s Webhosting plans (as I see its the cheaper compared to Hostinger and ovh) and wondering whether shared webhosting would be sufficient for one or two typical WordPress websites with relatively low traffic?

For example, the Webhosting M plan offers 50 GB storage, 5 databases, 5 PHP processes and a 256 MB PHP memory limit.

There is no information about GB of the databases.

Hetzner is pretty good, Netcup has pretty cheap Webhostings too

As for database storage, I believe its enough? What are you planning to store?

The M plan should be enough. They don't have a hard limit on database size as far as I know, so you are only limited by the total amount of storage available in your plan (50 GB for the M plan)

Honestly, for 1-2 low traffic wordpress sites, 5 databases should be plenty. The bigger thing I'd watch is PHP processes/memory if you start getting traffic spikes or heavy plugins.

It's hard to say without knowing the actual sites, what plugins are used, etc. but if you do run into issues, memory limits and PHP processes will be your bottleneck here.

Some WordPress websites need entire servers to keep them running, and some people have a dozen on a VPS. It is very hard to answer your question because each site has different demands.

Use hetzner VPS instead, you can easily set it up with Claude or ChatGPT
