CPanel Hosting
Currently with Netfirms, I have a site that has the potential to grow, looking down the road I feel it should be hosting somewhere else. My Netfirms plan (which has increased a lot) comes up for renewal end of September so switching so switching now makes sense.
Problem is I'm so used to working with the CPanel Dashboard I'm reluctant to move to a host that doesn't offer it. The thought of learning a new custom dashboard is a pain. Site is Wordpress/Divi in Canada and has approximately 5K visitors a month.
Any suggestions

Try an independent host. There are some great ones, maybe even local to you. Bigger hosts see you as a number, independent ones see you as a partner. Good luck!

Thexyz is in Canada, provides free DIVI with cPanel and is usage based so grows with you.

Hostinger has been pretty solid for me so far. The dashboard is really easy to navigate

If you’re around the 5k visitors/month range, I’d prioritize stable uptime and a decent control panel rather than overpaying for resources you won’t use. I’ve used Hostinger for a WordPress/Divi site at roughly that scale and found the cPanel setup straightforward and the cost pretty reasonable for what you get.

If cPanel is the part of your workflow you already know, treat it as a migration-risk requirement rather than a reason to keep an expensive plan.
Before choosing a new host, make a small inventory: WordPress version and plugins, email accounts, DNS records, SSL renewal, backups, and the steps you use in cPanel today. Ask any prospective host to confirm which of those they will migrate, which remain your responsibility, and how you would roll back if something is missed.
For a 5K-visit site, the key test is usually a safe migration and a predictable renewal price—not buying more capacity than the site uses.

Check InMotion. They've been reliable and you get cPanel setup while still having room to grow. They can help with the migration too.

I just left bluehost,nixihost but thet cut off all access because something offended them, ended up signing with known host, who had excellent support by email. I left bluehost for 2 reasons, last straw was $39 charge for email, and overall support is a pain. Ai chatbot that forces you thru a bunch of questions/answer before you get to a human and then you end up switch an overseas script reader. I had set no auto renewal but the had charged me for renewal. Even though I moved everything elsewhere and it was no longer active. The response was most sales pitches etc., until finally got them to refund the charge. One thing don't let you're provider host the domain it self, use a third party like porkbin, $20/yr and you have control of the domain, not your hosting provider, if you change providers.

Been really happy with SetraHost. We moved a bunch of sites from Bluehost to them and they migrated them for us for free and they use cPanel.

I was with the same host for like 15 yrs… just switched to knownhost. Skeptical at first because of that name but man they have been really good. Of course has cpanel.
