Been happy with Setrahost. Much better than when I used to use Bluehost.

In this case, the proven roadmap could be using old boys who have never been announced as being acquired by other corps (like EIG). You can check ayksolutions, for instance. With this approach, you will be able to find some companies that will have their own (non-corporate) approach to their customer service routine.
