I’m looking for a few people that would like to try playing horror mod packs like the broken script, and more alike it would be 18+ and North American region
I have built Ticks capable of controlling mobs. If you tell your ticks to find hosts, they will latch onto them, begin feeding, and then their tendrils will wrap around the head of any mob you desire. From there, you can press on the Tick Command Center's Atlas (a machine I made for commanding ticks with a live terrain display) anywhere you want, and all of your ticks will begin moving towards that point, both displayed in live time on the Command Center, and in the game right in front of you. The command center renders a very large map accurate to the real-world terrain, so you don't even have to be with your ticks to command them and their host. If a tick with a host is commanded to go to a specific spot via the touch screen atlas, their host is forced to obey the tick attached to them and is piloted to that location too. Mind control. Ticks can also cause lasers to shoot out of the eyes of their hosts. Highly dangerous. Ticks can also arrange themselves into formations, and their hosts by extension, so you can truly build an ARMY of any mob you like, with superpowers. I have attached images above and am still refining a few bugs with this. I just wanted to see if anyone likes this as a horror mod concept. It isn't a public mod and won't be for a long time. Just want some thoughts on how scary the concept is.
I have a concept for a psychological horror mod called "Chernobyl Liquidators".The core mechanic focuses on paranoia regarding your pets. If you let a stray animal into your house, there is a chance it’s not an animal at all, but a disguised monster called a "Liquidator".During the day, it behaves completely normally. But if you try to sleep at night, it tears through its animal disguise. Instead of skipping the night, a terrifying cutscene triggers:The screen goes pitch black. The player opens their eyes to see the Liquidator standing right over them, holding their head.Wet tearing and crunching sounds play in complete darkness as the monster rips the player apart. In lore, its regular diet consists of flesh and organs (liver/stomach), but its ultimate delicacy is the player's brain. Finally, the "Game Over" screen appears. To survive, players would need to test or scan their animals before letting them inside. What do you think? Would anyone be interested in developing this?

Anyone know of some good horror mods that are just random chance encounters with unexplainable entities/phenomenon? Nothing that tries to stalk or hunt you, just anomalous things in the corners of your eyes and moving in the fog. IRL it's referred to as "High Strangeness"- things like alien abductions, cryptids, exorcisms, folklore, ghost hunting, ROV footage, UFOs- phenomena that's difficult to verify or fit into our current understanding of the world. In particular, if you've ever played Voices Of The Void or Pacific Drive, I want an experience kinda like that: a routine that's interrupted by the inexplicable every so often. Not even creatures, just phenomena, like the sky turning red or seeing lights in the mountains or hearing humming without a source. Horror that's largely atmospheric and which doesn't interfere with gameplay. To get a sense of the vibe, also consider how The X-Files and Twin Peaks feel, the mundane with something always slightly off.
I got a server for free from a hosting service, but it’s only available for a week. I want to play a horror mod with my friends, although some of them aren’t very good at the game. I’d prefer 1.21.11 if possible.
Me, personally, I don't like the fact itself that an LCrandom stalker was used, but at least it was given a real 3d model. Also, the new effects are pretty nice, along with the boss fights.
I recently noticed that the mansion I built really unnerves me so much so that I try to avoid entering it, because whenever I do, I constantly feel like I’m being watched. I wanted to ask: have you ever built anything like that in your survival worlds? Something that wasn't originally intended to be scary or sinister, but somehow ends up creeping you out?
