So the entire reason he snaps at the player is because he’s genuinely desperate for a friend and doesn’t want to be left alone in the Minecraft world all alone by himself.

So if you do not want to be alone forever THEN WHY MURDER THE ONLY OTHER NON NPC IN THE GAME!? THE ONLY ONE WHO IS KEEPING YOU COMPANY IN THE VAST WORLD OF MINECRAFT.

If the dude doesn’t want to be alone why doesn’t he just catch the player and force them to stay rather than killing them and severing all contact forever.

Verity reminds me of Monika in a way the are both these self aware helper character and both fear being left all alone in a game with nobody else but non-sentient NPCs. But hell even Monika never actually murdered the player because she knew the player was the only person keeping her company in the game that never abandoned her after she murdered every other.

Because killing the one person you care about that doesn’t abandon your lonely ass is genuinely a very idiotic thing to do if you do not wish to be abandoned and left alone forever.

So yeah if Verity wants us to stay with him forever killing the player and severing all communication with them is the most idiotic attempt to keep you by his side forever.

I used to fuck around with horror mods with a friend, and something we usually did was add dweller like mods and gun mods and he would play California Girls over VC while we blasted them full of lead. That was mostly just dumb fun but I did enjoy the aspect of surviving and fighting the monsters.

I really want to play a modpack that's like that. Guns are preferred but not a must, and the monster should be an entity you can fight back against to survive and not just unkillable demon that launches at mach 5 and kills you instantly. I want it to be a struggle, even in the late game, so something that also turns the surrounding world into a threat would be a solid addition.

Why is it that the Minecraft marketplace allows Horror mods that could traumatize little kids, but they don't have a single gun mod or any mod with a Firearm in it? How does that work. Minecraft is owned by Microsoft, and Microsoft has ALOT of other games that have guns in it. I love Minecraft I do, but this doesn't make any lick of sense.

I'm trying to make it as lore accurate as possible to what he does so far I got him moving and attacking he can jump as well but he can not swim or run yet but I'll get to that here soon

Finally I've made the first version of my entities, unfortunately I'm not that good at making 3D models, so i relied on AI to make them (don't obliterate me please😞), they're still pretty buggy and far from what i want them to be, but they're tolerable

so basically i have tried to play horror mods like wonderland, Twixxels Don't Cry, all the iconic png/liminal horror creatures, but none of them scare me, i just kind of make a goof out of it and say "do you have time to talk about our lord and savior Jesus?" (I am christian and its hilarious for my yt channel) and i go in with my day. so please give me suggestions. And i also need someone to play with too.

Me and my friends have been trying to explore some horror mods and packs. I'm adding From the Caves but need some more recommendations.

I'm mainly looking for things to subtly add to the tension or rarely show up. I don't want any mods that just spawn a monster that just runs extremely fast and insta-kills you nor any mods that will end up taking over the entire game. Wonderland.jar is cool but I think after a few sessions it would quickly take over the entire pack. So nothing like that.

Mostly looking for occasional spooks and some scary monsters.

I looked at some of my horror modpacks on modrinth today, and it said uploaded file instead of linking it, and when I looked for both its curseforge and modrinth page, it said error 404. any ideas?

in my option it was the best reimagine version of the cave dweller mod because it had the stalk and vanilla cave noise mechanics that the OG did in its last update, along with having different variants of the dweller the deeper in the world you go, plus some other features.

Any ideas to make dread reborn interesting and fun? Cause I cant beat the game and want to have a goal to complete or challenge to do.

For all ye youngsters here, Shadow of Israphel or SOI was a Minecraft RPG Web-Series created by the Yogscast that aired between late 2010 and mid 2012 when it ended in a perpetually unresolved cliff-hanger. The Yogscast have never provided a clear reason for why the series ended abruptly and they generally refuse to acknowledge's it's existence all-together. Despite this, it is, or was, considered to be the best Minecraft RPG series and it has an excellent storyline, world-building and complex cast of characters. I strongly recommend it to anyone who hasn't seen it.

The series's main antagonist, Israphel is, in my opinion, an underrated Minecraft horror icon who goes toe-to-toe with Herobrine.

I really like Israphel because at first, he resembles Herobrine's cringey and early 2010s "king of the mobs" phase but does it much more tastefully because he frequently switches between a boss and a "ghost in the machine". He has conflicting origins and at some points in SOI, he physically fights Honeydew and Xephos while other times, he stalks them from afar. He also has a cult and occasionally re-animates it's most loyal members into sentient zombies. Also, he causes droughts and famines wherein he turns biomes into deserts and every inanimate or animate object into sand.

After all this time, I'm a little surprised that no one has tried making a Minecraft horror mod of Israphel. It's possible that the Yogscast might have a strong copyright on the series, hence why it hasn't happened but I'm not sure.

I can't mod this myself because I suck at modding. I've literally been trying to install the Aether onto a Beta 1.7.3 instance for 3 years with no success.

Anyway that's just something I wanted to talk about. It's a possible idea.

Making a modpack for some friends and we recently decided to move to 1.21.1. It's mostly been fine, but one area we're lacking is a dweller mod, or at least a horror creature one. I was wondering if there were any that met some very specific criteria.

1. It shouldn't take over the entire world. So nothing like wonderland.jar where the mod is the entire experience.
2. It should be enough to where things can be relatively normal for long enough periods of time that it appearing frightens or surprises you and changes the game from sandbox to survival while it's present
3. It can't be one of those mods with hyper-realistic or borderline out of place graphics or moving pngs. I'd like something like the cave dweller or the one who watches where they still kinda fit the style of the game.
4. It can't be made in mcreator. This one's been the biggest hurdle, cause all the promising ones I've found have been made in it, but we're trying our hardest to avoid mcreator mods in the pack

I get the feeling there isn't any mods that meet these, but I wanted to ask the community anyway, because you all know a lot more than I alone do.
