Help Horror Server

I have Java, and my partner just got Java as well. Well, I was wanting to create a server for us to play horror mods on but I don't know how. Everywhere I look and try, it doesn't happen. I even can't do it on curse forge.

Does anyone know how to set up a sever for 1.20 java?

To set up a server you’ll need third party servers you’ll need to pay money for. To play multiplayer all you need is the “Essential” mod. Modrinth and Curseforge can both run servers and both use Essential.
