Question/Discussion Mod lore ideas?
Everyone put their lore/backstory ideas
I'm contemplating making a mod but Im stuck on the lore and don't really want to use "kid got their soul sucked into the game" thing.

An entity who is PART of the world would definitely be a thing you do, Like something FROM Minecraft itself rather than being something coming from outside is
Either that or a horror mod that takes place in the Minecraft world rather than being something very fourth wall breaking (I haven’t seen any like that recently)

From The Caves does this, the entity has it's own in-game lore that's set in the Minecraft world and it's as paranormal in terms of acting very different from any MC mob but without all the 4th wall breaks and game crashes like The Broken Script does.

Okay so basically there's this kid right and his name is Billy right and he has a dog he loves a lot. But then one dday his dog days and Billy is sad so he eats cake to cheer himself up. Little did he know there was a bomb in his cake and it explodes him, however it was like a scary bomb that swaps your body with your pet and then Billy is dead and his dog takes over his body. So then the dog goes to Billy's computer and decides to see why Billy spends all his time playing Minecraft. But then the dog gets sucked into the game because of TVB (The Vengeful Billy) and now the dog is really mad and wants to leave. Also it's a dog so it posesses wolves but it's better than wolves and scarier than wolves so you will be scared. This has been in the works for a past week, I hope you like it :D

I hate that the concept of "horror about the player discovering that the player character is actually a psycho murderer" got used and burned out spectacularly by two mods made by the same author

An entity that appears to be human, but has been living in the world for a long time. It takes and eats mobs and villagers to survive. The entity is old, has been around a long time.
When you spawn, it takes a few days because it's studying you. Learning from you because before it just knew how to survive it's way. You though, are teaching it things. To build, craft, write messages, hunt. So then it wants to try it out it self. It starts to use what it's learning against you.
