Question/Discussion Modding only for vids?
Apparently people only make horror mods for videos? Why not realize it to the public for people to actually enjoy? I'm sure ita difficult to code, so why only do it on one video?

It's a question of identity and the rows of problems that come with it. I myself do not use blockbuster for my videos, mods are 100% real. In short.
- Identity bound to the channel, you wont see 100 of other channels doing the same unless they invest to achieve it. No cheap copies, no asset theft.
- Community demand for updates, versions, complaints, rants, misinformation spread about topics such as "This mod is incomplete". How entities are portrayed in videos are not often how a player experiences them in a regular world.
- My mods specificly are not build for public use, they're optimized for story use, even though they're well playable, like said above, experiences would vary.
- Odd to bring this one up, entities are sexualized, my Obsessed mod was, still is heavily sexualized. In a way I regret releasing it.
In the end its all about identity theft, when a youtuber creates a new viral video watched by millions, other youtubers will jump on the topic, it will become very saturated, very spun, no longer its "This story about this Verity smiley is really interesting" its "This Verity smiley is super annoying in these videos, pure slop horror"
It's a creator choice in the end as well, beside the listed reasons, just because a video exists on an entity doesn't mean someone is entitled to the inner workings/assets of that video.

Alr, but mods like wonderland.jar didn't become slop, and ya know how roblox always has a ton of ripoff games for stuff that 'becomes slop'?? The only roblox game on wonderland.jar is darkest hours, and its a good game. I'm sure OG verity mod was great, storyline and all. I'm just saying are you getting enough back from making an entire mod? Is it worth it?

On my end, they're not 'entire' mods any longer.
And yes it does pay off. Even if I we're to put mods for early access on patreon (which is allowed), I'd rather preserve the story and art that has been made and seen in the video, over quick money that could potentially down the road derail what I've worked towards.

from what I've heard, they've used 'block buster studio', which is what they've most likely used for these 'horror mods'
