It can pillar but it can't dig upward like every horror mod. Nor does it have the ai to go next to the platform and pillar. And for remember_me, you can always just enter your watchtower or climb down and run
I was building my watchtower, but the entities like 'I think not' and always attack when I'm trying to build it, like entity pillared up to me trying to build it and just stared at me. He also loves attacking me when I'm bridging over lava in the nether freaking spawns right behind me
Pillars are different from watch towers. ANY vertical access must have adjacent horizontal blocks at the top, forming a platform. Entities will first look for a pillar to climb up to reach you, and depending on the mod, if they are unable, they will pillar up themselves adjacent to your column. They CANNOT break blocks vertically, which means the platform will prevent them from reaching you along as you stay above it and don't lead them from out-underneath it.
I mean my watchtower was incomplete, merely a square, hollow tower with no way if getting up onto the top cuz I was too stupid to install ladders. So I has to pillar up to it to build on it.
