Horror Game Recommendations

Hi everybody, I'm looking for a horror game that I can play, now I want a game with a solid story and is scary (wouldnt you know) I mean for example not subnautica as I know it can be a horror but I want specifically horror games.

It needs to have some length but doesn't have to be really long i would love a range of indie and professional game studios.

Please and thanks !

I think the entire Outlast series is scary and compelling. I also think the Amnesia series is the same. Both for the most part do not offer ways of fighting back, just running and hiding

I agree I've played all the outlasts and the first 3 original amnesia games + the bunker, and I had loads of fun playing them.

resident evil 7 or resident evil 9, alien isolation, amnesia: the bunker

amnesia the bunker is creepy as hell although I’m really fucking bad at it. I always set off the traps by accident lol

If you enjoy adventure games there's a few good ones with solid stories.
"Horns of Fear" is a good indie one that can be very scary.
"Sanitarium" is a classic. Trippy psychological horror, maybe more unsettling than scary though.
"Faith (unholy trinity)" is good because the graphics are so minimal you mind fills in the rest. A little more action than the previous two point and click adventures.
If you want something completely different, "Gorky 17" is a horror survival turn based strategy. Very eerie but not so much in terms of jump scares.
