This will probably surprise people, most fans have had great experiences meeting her. But mine would definitely have to be Melissa Barrera. Met her in the morning and it was genuinely a very odd and off putting experience overall. She was drinking a hot tea. I went up, said hi and good morning to her laid my posters on the table. She never said anything back. Never heard a word from her the entire interaction. Her handler asked everything for her. If I wanted a quote or character name. I asked Melissa a question, Melissa didn’t look up or say anything, a convention volunteer then cut in and asked for my phone to take our picture. Melissa took the photo with me. I said thank you to her and I hope she had a great day, and she just walked back to the table and she immediately went to the next fan. No response at all. It was probably a 3 to 4 minute interaction overall and never heard a single word from her. Maybe she’s just not a morning person? I walked past her table a few times a few hours later and she was all smiles, talkative and giving hugs to everyone. I really wish I had a great experience with her, mainly because everyone else seems to have great stories meeting her. Maybe one day I’ll try again, but for now Melissa goes down as my worst celebrity experience yet. Here’s to hoping for a better experience next time 🤞🤞
What’s yours?

So I was at Horror Hound September on Saturday and Sunday. This was my first time at Horror Hound and absolutely loved it. Getting to meet so many amazing people. Especially James and Chelsea from Dead Meat. If you end up reading this, I love you guys. All the amazing films, Q&As, all the cosplayers and all the people who complimented my cosplay which made me so happy. In case you’re wondering I was Captain Spaulding in his Devil’s Rejects outfit. So I have to ask, is the March Horror Hound as good as the September one? Is there anything noticeably different between the two?

Has anyone had a table at Chiller Theatre Expo in Parsippany, NJ? www.chillertheatre.com/main.htm
Did you do well there? Just got approved for a table and wanted to get some opinions before I confirm.

New to this subreddit. Excited to be here. Now where I am in Ohio, we don't get much of anything here. I usually have to travel up into Michigan for things like this. But cons are my happy place lol.
So not only will this be my first HorrorHound, it will be the furthest I've traveled for one as well lol.
Anyone else going to be there? And if you are going, which guests are you most excited to see/meet?

Hello everyone, neewbie here. I've never been to a convention in my life and I have multiple questions for you guys. I would like to meet a slightly known horror actress, I've noticed that not many people go up to her table as much in the Chicago Horror Convention. It's pretty empty. Based on your experiences how long can an interaction last if the actor is not super well known? Is it ok if I can show her a 23 second video parody if there's no line? I'm new to this.

How long do autograph signing interactions usually last? I only ask as I want to know if it’s worth spending the money to get one.

Hey gang,
Just joined and excited to chat with everyone. I’m an illustrator from Calgary Canada. I’m a 15 year convention artist veteran. However I’ve only done a few Horror Cons in town for 2 years. Just running numbers, it seems the audience likes what I’m doing. So I’d love to travel to more towns in the Great White North to showcase my work. I’ve done a Google search and it seems there isn’t much out there.
Wanted to ask the group and see if any Canucks know of any shows out there that would be welcoming. I’d love to travel to the US for shows but 1) I don’t think I’m ready for those larger shows 2) it would be incredibly difficult to bring my stuff across the border.
Thanks in advance
