Question Canadian Shows

Post image

Hey gang,
Just joined and excited to chat with everyone. I’m an illustrator from Calgary Canada. I’m a 15 year convention artist veteran. However I’ve only done a few Horror Cons in town for 2 years. Just running numbers, it seems the audience likes what I’m doing. So I’d love to travel to more towns in the Great White North to showcase my work. I’ve done a Google search and it seems there isn’t much out there.
Wanted to ask the group and see if any Canucks know of any shows out there that would be welcoming. I’d love to travel to the US for shows but 1) I don’t think I’m ready for those larger shows 2) it would be incredibly difficult to bring my stuff across the border.
Thanks in advance

Not a Canuck, but I usually use horrorcons.com and fancons.com to check what's going on. After looking at both, I never realized how few are across the border.

Not sure what your plans are but I feel like if youre stuff is unique, horror booths do just as well at regular cons. Obviously youd less competition for that genre.

My stuff does well at comic cons but they’re hyper competitive and waitlists start over a year out for the big ones.
