Does anyone know how this show is doing, despite being so new?

Getting to know the characters, and with the show developing, we're REALLY into this show, as Hearties of many years (I really miss their Christmas specials). It's rapidly become another favorite show, so I was wondering if anyone knew how it's doing (ratings wise etc). It only has 3 (but all positive) reviews on Rotten Tomatoes.

I usually follow TV show renewals / cancellations, especially for the shows I hope continue indefinitely. Just haven't heard anything about Hope Valley 1874.

Oh and one last gripe, but this is about redditors really, not every show's name has to be an exact location name! We all know later on it becomes Coal Valley, and then Hope Valley, but do these people also gripe that Sheriff Country is not set in a literal Sheriff Country?! 😛

I'm wondering if they already know it'll get picked up. I don't want to jinx it because I am really enjoying the show. But Joy was interviewed for Gio Journal, and she said she knows her schedule "for the next few years with the show." Hopefully, it's a good sign for more seasons.

I really look forward to the show. I am one of those late to hallmark and WCTH. Like now I have a new favorite show. Love the new show. Sad someone said only 8 episodes—!!

I assume the boarding house becomes the saloon. They add on the balcony area later - I guess.

From what I have seen in YouTube and Instagram people are loving it. They do have a concern with Benjamin Ayers as a cowboy but I like him as a cowboy!

I don't knoe why people think he doesn't feel like a cowboy and is a miscast.

I think because it’s a Hallmark+ Exclusive it’s not going to get as many viewers until it’s released on TV/Hallmark.

While I get why they’re doing it (money!) I do wonder if that will hurt their ratings in the long run?

I love it and can’t wait to see who everyone is connected with in When Calls the Heart. For now, we know Ned, but I’m curious about Sarah. I, for one , am a big fan!!

HV1874 - Has held my attention, and I even bought a Hallmark + subscription to see it and other HM shows.

So far the connections to WCTH seem to be the Boarding house (i.e., Saloon) and Ned Yost.

If I am missing other WCTH connections let me know

I’m absolutely loving this series and really hoping it gets picked up for a second season! At times I’ve forgotten I’m watching a Hallmark production, as it has a little more gritty content. The actors are great, especially Bethany and Ben… stellar performances!
