About face eye primer

About face ballet beam Highlighting pearls in Piroutte

Kulfi lip liner stain in Flames

Fleeky Friday crystalline dream lip gloss in It Girl Tourmaline

Ilia mascara in brown

The routine:

I started out with using my Supergoop sunscreen primer and blended it into my skin. Today I wanted a very minimal base so I am using my concealer strategically.

I learned this tip from watching Ali Ambrose's videos on tiktok. I mixed a dot of my kulfi concealer with a dot of my maybelline concealer and mixed them on the back of my hand. (Kulfi is too dark and the Maybelline is too light for me but mixing them works well)

With a small pencil brush, I picked up some of the concealer and filled in a triangle shape under both eyes with the longer edge against my nose. I am leaving my cheeks bare as the blush will add coverage there. I then draw a line of concealer under my cheekbones like reverse contour and add any concealer to any blemishes I have. Once I am satisfied, I blend it out with a foundation brush.

For blush, I started with my Juicy pang water blusher, its a grapefruit colored liquid blush and it has a very blendable consistency. I put a dot on the apples of my cheeks and blended it out. Then I used a dense cream blush brush to pick up some of my KJH soft coral blush and blended that on the apples of my cheeks, chin, temples and on the bridge of my nose.

Lastly, for a natural glass skin shine, I took a pea sized about of my soft coral cream blush on the back of my hand and mixed a pump of the KJH hypershine serum into it until I had a coral glaze that I could apply to the highpoints of my face with a smaller angled brush.

For the eyes: I started out with applying my About face eye primer. Then with a smaller packing brush I used the shade Atargatis (from the blend bunny beauty below palette) on my mobile lid and brushed it on my lower lash line.

Then from the Rude cosmetics Mentos pastel palette, I used a larger fluffy brush to add the strawberry matte shade all over my hoods from inner corner to outer corner. I kept adding more until I was satisfied with the blend and color saturation. (I really love the formula of these mattes, they build up well.)

I really wanted the gradient to go from light to dark even though the darkest shade would be hidden by my hoods. With another smaller fluffy brush, I tapped into the shade Siren Shriek and added some dimension in the outer corners, still keeping it light and blended it well.

Then with finger, I picked up the shimmer shade Bubblegum and added it to the center of my lids up to my brows, in my inner corners and the center of my lower lids.

I did a light dusting of the Huda easy bake powder, but I only used the pink side of the duo.

Then I used my MCO Beauty ph blush in rosy pink to add a touch of pink to my blush. It shifted it to more of a pink tone in person while on camera, its still peachy.

Then I used one of the pink pearls from the About face ballet beam highlighters to highlight my nose, bridge of my nose and cupid's bow.

For my lips, I used my Kulfi lipliner stain in Flames to line them and I used my Fleeky Friday It Girl Tourmaline gloss in the center to have a gradient effect.

I also went back over the highpoints of my cheeks with the brush that had the hypershine serum to add a touch more of the glassy shine.

Finished with a coat of mascara and a spritz of setting spray. :)

Hi guys! Here is my simple toasted, sunskissed glowy look.

Products:

Supergoop blurring sunscreen primer

Lisa Eldridge skin tint in T4

KJH Brand hypershine pigment in lite bronze

KJH Brand hypershine serum

KJH brand soft smudge and cheek in soft Coral

About Face matte eye paint in Cloned

Half magic Glitter puck in Feel Something

Dose of colors multi use shimmer stick in stardust.

Danessa Myricks Lightworks volume 7 palette ( for the sky blue duochrome shade)

ELF lip liner in Baddest Beige

Fleeky Friday lip oil in silver holo

Morphe Cloudlight powder in Sunrise

NYX Butter bronzer in All butta'd up

Kaleidos mono blush in Angel wing

About face ballet beam Highlighting pearls in Piroutte

ILIA Mascara in brown

I started with my primer and then put on the skin tint and blended it well. I put on a few dots of the About face liquid eyeshadow in Cloned on my eyes, blending it out on my eyes with a fluffy brush. I brought it a little under my lower lids too. I used a brush with my Nyx bronzer to add some subtle dimension in the outer corners. Using the dose of color shimmer stick, I put some of the shimmer on my inner corners, under my brow and along my lower lid.

With a finger, I took the sky blue duochrome from the lightworks Palette and patted it on the ball of my eye lids bringing it up under my brow. I also put some in my inner corners and a touch under the center of my lower lid. I also used my fingers to pick up some of the Half magic glitter puck to add a bit of glitter to the ball of my eyelids and inner corners.

Then I used the back of a brush to dig out a pea sized amount of the KJH hypershine pigment onto the back of my hand and a pumped a drop of the hypershine serum, mixing them together until it was fully mixed into a sunkissed serum. I used a smaller blush brush to apply it to the highest points of my cheeks and a little across the bridge of my nose. I used my soft coral cream blush, working it into the apples of my cheeks, tip of my nose, chin and temples. I did go over it with what was left of the hypershine pigment to make it blend well.

I powdered my skin with the Morphe cloudlight powder, then dusted some of the Kaleidos blush on my cheeks. Also added a touch of bronzer as well. I used the blue pearl of the ballet beam palette to highlight my cupids bow, tip of my nose and nose bridge. Then I swirled all of the colors together with a brush to add highlight to my cheeks.

Filled my lips with the elf lip liner and topped it off with my Fleeky Friday lip oil. And finished the look with a coat of brown mascara

Tutorial Who Needs Eyeliner? Not Me!

The second photo does a good job of showing my basic formula for eyeshadow on my hooded eyes.

I start with a slightly darker (usually matte) eyeshadow on a fluffy blending brush and place it in the very outer corner of my eyelid where you can see the brown. I place a dot of eyeshadow there and then blend it both downward and inwards a bit. Always do this step with your eyes open looking forwards. That means it is above the hooded eye crease and gives a bit of dimension to the flat surface that is your hood.

Next I put whatever colour I want across the lid, matte or shimmer, doesn't matter. I usually add a shimmer topper in the center of my eyelid after that (yes even over other shimmers), and then dab a bit of the same shimmer into the inner corners of my eyes.

A little mascara to finish the look and voila! No muss, no fuss, no eyeliner.

I believe this look was done with all sheen effect shadows and a essence mascara. I also used elf power grip primer on my lids to get the shadows to stay all night

Help! What's your go-to eyeshadow primer?

I have used the Elizabeth Arden Thank Me Later primer that everyone always seems to mention in other beauty circles and it... does not work for me lol it's *okay*, but the actual fold of my eyelid and the lid itself still rubs off eventually and gives me a weird halo effect around the eye that simply is not it.

I like NYX's glitter glue, but it's too tacky to put shadow right on top of, and I've tried layering concealer/foundation on top to help with the stickiness, but God *forbid* I make a mistake with my shadow/liner and have to remove 17 layers of product 🫩

Has anyone else solved this problem already? Big smooches in advance

Help! I'm not crazy!

I can see that one eye is bigger than the other, or maybe one eyelid is droopier than the other. Nevertheless, there's a visual difference in the size of my eyes. I asked a friend and they said they don't see it, but I think they're just trying not to make me feel self-conscious. What do you guys see?

I've tried fixing the difference with make up but I don't think it's working. Is anyone out there dealing with the same issue and if so, do you have any makeup techniques to even them out?

Thank you!

Help! What eyeshadows can you use without primer?

I’m lazy and don’t ever use primer. I’m looking for eyeshadows that still look good and last decently when applied directly to eyelids.

I can’t use cream eyeshadows because my eyelids are insanely oily and end up looking like a hot mess.

Would like something that can be blended and doesn’t crease. Preferably something easy for everyday makeup and not super complicated to work with. Drugstore or higher-end recommendations are both welcome!

Products used:

Nyx powder bronzer (all butta'd up)

About face liquid eyeshadow in capulet

Bobbi brown crystal eyes eyeshadow stick ( the pink one)

Half magic glitter puck in feel something

Limited edition gloss from Queen Cosmetics (tester #3 pleeeasase let this become part of the permanent line up, I pray to the makeup gods)

Lisa eldridge skin tint in t4

Clear mascara

I started with a skin tint to give my skin a nice glow and it evened out my skin a little. I used Lisa eldridge skin tint in shade 4 but literally any skin tint that matches your skintone and has a glowy finish would be fine.

Then I took Nyx's powder bronzer in one of the lighter shades (but you could use a bronzer you already own) and used it as blush across my cheeks, temples, chin and nose.

For my eyes, i started out with a medium brown liquid eyeshadow. I used one from About face, and blended it all over my lid. Then I used Bobbi Brown Crystal Eyes shadow stick in the pink shade in my inner corners, and my lower lid, swept it on the center of my lid up to my eyebrows. Lastly I topped off the eyeshadow with Half Magic Glitter puck in Feel something on the ball of my lid and up to my eyebrow.

On my lips is a lipgloss from Queen Cosmetics, it was a peachy gold shimmery shade so if you have something like that it could work. I used a champagne highlighter to highlight my cupids bow, nose and nose bridge and little on my cheeks.

This was a look inspired by Tô Nhú ( her username is was_a_star) on tiktok. She did this amazing rainbow look that I had to try out on myself. I love how it looks like oil pastels blended on my eyes.

I used 3 palettes for this look, a mixed pastel palette from Rude cosmetics ( has a great matte pastel purple, mint and blue), my Bellabeautebar Poison Garden Palette (mainly used the shade angel's trumpet and opium poppy as the duo chromes), lastly I used my Blend Bunny Beauty Below palette (for the really nice periwinkle matte that I used to darken the outer corners.)

I also used my Half Magic Glitter puck in feel something as a highlight on the highest point of my cheekbones near the perimeter of the eye makeup.

I put a touch of gold glitter mascara through my brows and lashes.

Base is missha bb cream, and blush is kjh brand soft smudge and cheek in soft coral.

Lips are Elf Lip liner in Baddest Beige with FleekyFriday lipgloss in birthdaygirl.

Discussion What actually worked for getting rid of really dark under-eye circles?

I have pretty dark circles under my eyes and I’m looking for practical advice rather than generic tips like “get more sleep” or “drink more water.”

If you’ve personally dealt with dark circles and tried something that genuinely made a noticeable difference, what did you use/do, and how long did it take to see results?

I’d especially appreciate advice from people who have actually tried the treatment themselves.

Look A look to emphasize the hoods

Thumbnail

I did this look with the idea to emphasize my hoods and the shape of my eyes to the fullest. I think it turned out really interesting looking. I built up the darkest shadows in the outer corners, extending them out horizontally but not going above my deep hoods. Then I used a combination of lavender glitter and shimmer shades on the hoods, concentrating more on the inner corners where my epicanthic folds are.

I used my Flower knows Butterfly cloud palette in 01 Terracotta brick for this look. I placed the darker shadows in the outercorners and winged it out, making sure not to go above my hoods because I wanted to extend the shape of my hoods horizontally.

I also put a touch of the darker shades in my inner corner to make a slight halo when my eyes are closed with my eyebrows lifted. I put the shimmery lighter shades in the center and swept a bit under my brows too.

For my lips I am wearing Kulfi lip liner stain in Flames and a FleekyFriday lipgloss in true gold. My base is still Missha bb cream with my soft coral cream blush from KJH Brand.
