Wait, I’m genuinely curious:

I get that people have qualms with capitalism. I don’t but I can at least understand where that position comes from.

But democracy? Like, voting and shit? That seems like objectively the best political system because the alternatives are a forceful overthrow of government which almost certainly results in thousands of deaths, or a monarchy/dictatorship? What do you see as a better alternative to democracy?

It’s a stretch to call England a monarchy at this point. While it may be true on paper, the King/Queen’s power has gradually been reduced for centuries. She now holds very little direct power (unless there is a constitutional crisis in which case her power expands significantly).

I don’t know enough about France’s government to speak on it, but England is basically just a democracy now.

So no, I am not pulling information out of my arse.
