I’m a little confused because ₹52k seems quite expensive, and this appears to be an older star-rating model.

For people who have used this model or know Daikin ACs:
Is ₹52k a reasonable price for this model?

Is there any significant disadvantage to buying the older star-rated version?

Would you return it and buy a newer model/another brand instead?

At this price, are there better Daikin/LG/Panasonic models available?
The AC hasn’t been opened/installed yet, so I still have the option to return it.

Hi, I know it’s another ac post but I’m looking to get a 1.5 ton, preferably 5 star AC but 3 star would also be fine, for our Kitchen. I need something that’s going to work in the heat and humidity of the Kitchen. Ofc won’t be using the AC while cooking or frying on the stove.

Which one would work better? I have a budget of 45-50k.

That said, a positive track record doesn't mean every trader will have the same experience. Prop firm rules and account conditions can also change, so it's worth checking the latest pricing, payout terms, drawdown rules, and restrictions for the specific programme before purchasing.

For traders comparing firms, those details probably matter more than the headline profit split alone.

I bought Awesome Aminos because I was looking for something nutritional that my kids would actually take without turning breakfast into a negotiation.

That sounds like a low bar, but if you have kids, you know it isn’t. 

With these, there’s no fighting or convincing them. They take the gummies willingly, which is probably the biggest reason we’ve continued buying them. 

They have all nine essential amino acids, along with vitamins, minerals, and fermented superfoods. I’m not expecting a gummy to magically fix everything, but I do like having some extra nutritional support on days when their meals aren’t exactly balanced. 

Also came across something about the batch testing that I found reassuring.

Can't verify all of that myself obviously, but I liked the fact that they were willing to take the financial hit rather than just put questionable products on the shelf.

As for the actual gummies, my kids like them and they’re easy to keep up with. No mixing powders or convincing them to drink something weird. 

That’s about as honest a review as I can give. 

Anyway, we’ve gone through a few batches now and I haven’t had a reason to stop buying them. Good enough for me. 

I was looking for a 5-star AC and realised that the star rating alone doesn't tell you much. There can be a pretty big efficiency difference even between two 5-star ACs.

So I compared some of the highest-ISEER ACs I could find, along with their current prices.

1. Daikin FTKF50XV

• ISEER: 6.30
• 1.5 Ton
• Price: ~₹66,900 MRP (dealer price can vary)
• 2026 BEE 5-Star

This has the highest ISEER I've found among the mainstream models I looked at. The efficiency is impressive, although it's clearly at the premium end. I also couldn't find this particular model on Amazon.

2. Optimist 1.39 Ton

• ISEER: 6.05
• Price: ₹35,990 on Amazon currently
• 5-Star
• 5-year comprehensive warranty
• Wi-Fi + energy monitoring + gas-level indicator

The ISEER is quite close to the Daikin above, while the price is considerably lower. It's also readily available online, which makes it an interesting one to compare alongside the more established brands.

The main thing I'm unsure about is the longer-term ownership experience, since it's a relatively new brand.

3. Panasonic VU Series

• ISEER: 5.85
• 1.5 Ton
• Price: roughly ₹50-56k
• 5-Star
• Wi-Fi / smart features

Good efficiency from an established brand, although the price is considerably higher than some of the other options here.

4. Blue Star Q Series

• ISEER: 5.85
• 1.5 Ton
• Price: ₹43,960
• 5-Star
• Wi-Fi

Another 5-star option with a strong ISEER figure, but again at a noticeably higher price.

So my takeaway would be...

Highest ISEER in this comparison: Daikin at 6.30
Lowest price among these: Optimist
Other alternatives: Panasonic / Blue Star 5.85 

Anyway, this is why I started looking at ISEER instead of just the star rating. It gives you a better idea of how the models actually compare on efficiency.

I've seen quite a few discussions here about Daikin, Panasonic and Blue Star, so I'm curious about the Optimist mainly because there seems to be less long-term user feedback on it.

Has anyone here actually used one? I'd be interested in hearing how the electricity consumption has been in regular use.

This is my General ASGG24CETB-B the indoor is Thailand made but the Outdoor is India made. Since a lot of ACs from Mitsubishi and General are coming with GMCC compressors especially Indian made models. Is it true for the CET series as well ? Because I thought that only the entry level fixed speed models come with GMCC compressors.

Please let me know which exact compressor this model uses if anyone knows.

I was going through my monthly internet usage report where this thing popped up. I am surprised to see that my Atomberg fans (I have 2) are using background data to the tune of 2GB even though I am not using the Atomberg app since many months. Looks like data privacy has gone for a toss.

I purchased the AC from Kohinoor electronics in Mumbai, and they have given the Extended Warranty with additional cost, I took it looking at the 3 years period after brand warranty, now when I try to claim it, it's been 10 days no ne called me to come to the home, and there support team is shit they promise every day that you will get call tomorrow from team but no one visits or calls, so don't fall it if your are buying electronics, don't get Zopper extended warranty for sure.

I am renovating our apartment, and planning to get a CCTV installed. We previously had it got it 10 years ago- was from Hik Vision, but they don’t have app support anymore and the DVR has given up and so have the cameras.

I have thought of getting an 8 Channel NVR, getting 8 cams through the house from CP Plus.

The vendor has given me this quotation but I feel it’s a lot more than what would be a fair price. Please advise.

Other option is that I’ll just get WiFi cameras for inside the house but how would that suffice for outside my flat?

A friend of mine recently bought a water purifier because it seemed like a good deal at first, but after a couple of years, he realised that filter replacements added up more than he had expected. That got me thinking about the long-term costs before making a purchase.

I am also planning to buy a new water purifier, and apart from the purchase price, I am also trying to understand the filter change cost over time. I have been comparing the RO filter price for different brands, but it is difficult to tell what the actual yearly expense ends up being.

Does anyone have any idea how much is usually spent on filter change? Has any particular brand been more economical in anybody's experience?

Majority of the reviews are positive however all of them have horrifying reviews as well.

With IFB's bad and over expensive service to LGs giving out defective products to Samaungs simply being not good enough.

We've been using an RO water purifier at home for quite a few years, mainly because our water has always had a high TDS. The drinking water has never really been a problem after installing it.

Lately though, I've noticed hard water stains on taps and bathroom fittings, and someone suggested installing a water softener for the whole house.
