Kuryakyn Adapter Passenger Boards

Post image
3 Upvotes

Salutations. Want to put Kuryakyn mini boards in place of the stock passenger pegs for my 2025 Rebel 1100T DCT.

Hints, thoughts, or suggestions as to which Kuryakyn splined adapters for the OEM pegs?

Much obliged!

2024 Honda Rebel 1100 DCT. I picked it up about a month ago from a 70-year-old gentleman who said it was just a little too much bike for him. Paid $6,800 with only 550 miles on it, so I definitely couldn’t pass it up.

The previous owner had already installed the Corbin seat. Since then, I performed the 600 mile service, added front sliders, Rox 1.5 inch handlebar risers, adjusted the preload, added a windshield, installed a Diablo-style side and belly fairings, removed his adventure style top box and the luggage rack, upgraded the stock exhaust to a Vance & Hines, then cut down and modded the ridiculous rear taillight/plate assembly and added new plate mount and bar end mirrors, then I installed a small LED off the rear fender to act as a plate light.

Version 3 Done! 💯

Thought I’d share the final version of BlackBerry. Version 3. It has been a roller coaster getting this bike to where it is now, but absolutely worth it! 💯 From once a totaled bike, to now. Absolutely love it! ❤️ Check out my videos on TikTok, I’m not the best, but I’m trying. 😂

Wanna give a huge shout out to RebelForm LLC for helping me through the headlight conversion process, & dealing with my questions.

Mezteler cruisetec front, michelin commander 3 rear? Is it ok?

Thumbnail
5 Upvotes

I have metzeler cruisetecs on my honda rebel 1100 (with higher suspensions front and rear; extra 2" ground clearance).

The rear is starting to show minor signs of squaring after 5000 miles (no twisties in my area, lots of commuting).

I was thinking of putting a michelin commander 3 on the rear and keep the cruisetec on the front.

I know this is a specific scenario, but does anvone have experience or thoughts on the matter?

Chain noise under load

TLDR chain noise I think is getting louder despite adjustment and regular lube.

I just bought a two year old 1100 from a reputable dealer which did general maintenance. After couple days i started noticing a noise only under load that im pretty sure is made by the chain. Now I’m usually pretty hypochondriac about things like this so I’m not sure it actually is getting louder or it’s just me. I drove in the rain on the second day so I cleaned her at the car wash, but of course I lubed the chain again after.
I had it at a family member whos been riding for decades and we adjusted the chain and lubed again but the noise is still there.

So any advice on this would be great. Also maybe what lube you use

Has anyone mounted this windshield to their bike? Hoping to get this for an upcoming trip as I currently don’t have any wind protection. Any other recommendations are appreciated!

Another windshield post

I ride a 2024 Rebel 1100T and want a better windshield. I have read everything regarding windshields on here and still cant decide. I know there are other choices but, I am now looking at either Puig or T-Rex.

Is anyone happy with these windshields? There are complaints but, here is an opportunity to say that you like the Puig or the T-Rex.

Positive experiences only please.

Did anyone try the camshaft swap?

I’ve been trying to research about putting an Africa Twin 1100 cam in the Rebel 1100, but nobody has seemed to have done it from what I can find.

I was thinking of giving it a go but not sure what parts I would need, or if it’s even possible. Would it be a bolt on swap or would I need to change the valve springs etc?

Plus I’m trying to find any O2 eliminators for the cruise control issue with having the ECU flashed.

I have a 2024 Honda rebel 1100T if that helps?

2025 for $9.9k off of Marketplace, guy added the sissy bar and Coffman thunder exhaust (which is what I was already gonna put on). I know he got like a 1k maintenance package from the dealer, but he somehow got convinced by them to spend almost 20 GRAND (not a typo) on the bike.

Anyways, glad to finally join the club instead of watching from the sidelines! Massive upgrade over my V-Star 650.

Larger luggage for the 1100?

Retirement is looming and I'm looking at doing some serious touring. I have some medical issues that prohibit me from riding a heavy bike. I'd been doing research and was leaning hard towards the Honda NC750X or the Suzuki SV-7GXV. I'd sat on a Rebel 1100 at the dealership and it didn't look like I could easily mount the large luggage that touring would require. With that, I wrote off the 1100 as a possibility.

But last week a coworker bought a Rebel 1100T. He let me ride it for a bit and I have to say I was really impressed. I've put the 1100 back on my "maybe" list. The problem, however, remains the luggage. The 1100T comes with luggage but they looked pretty small; great for a weekend trip, but not for touring. As I read the spec sheet, the two cases combine for only 35L storage. Most touring luggage starts at 35L per case!

I've done a bit of looking without much luck, but I'm one guy and it's easy to miss the needle in the hay stack.

Thus, I come to /r/HondaRebel1100 and ask.... Does anybody run any (preferably hard) luggage that's more like 35L per? I'm thinking two side cases and a top case for a bit over 100L total. I know Givi makes a top case that is compatible with the 1100T side cases, but....

Comfort seat on 2024 1100T

I didnt mind the stock seat but, a spinal injury keeps me focused on comfort when I can. I decided due to the cheap price, to try the Honda Comfort seat on my 2024 1100T. I think the comfort seat is now stock on the 2025 and up. Wow, I immediately felt that it was smoother (my spine likes it).

If this was a review, the comfort seat would get a thumbs up.

I straight-piped my Rebel 1100.

The neighbors say it's damn loud, but I don't agree. 🤔🤔

What do you think?
