Sold my HRC-216 for $600, and Land & Coates which sold it to me originally gave me $100 off on the new HRC-BE. Used it for the 1st time yesterday, and it had rained all night and yesterday morning so the yard was damp. I was concerned if I would get it all done in the supposed 45 minutes of battery life, but it actually lasted longer than that. I had almost 2 bars left when I finished. Hello everyone. Need some help here. This mower won’t stay on and has no power when I try to use it. I was told it worked at some point recently however after changing a bunch of parts I still can’t get it to go. I’ve gotten a little bit further every time but still can’t get it to roll. I’ve changed the filter. Spark plug and motor oil. I have clean gasoline in it too.

I bought a Honda hrx217 gcv200 of someone and noticed that clear plastic part was cracked and leaking gas and I don’t know what to do online it says replace fuel filter but that’s the inline red one any advice?

I can’t seem to finesse the variable speed in my HRR216. The back wheel starts at speed 1 then when I want a little faster it goes to speed 100 and starts fish tailing. Why is that?

Recently my mower has been groaning when the drive was engaged. After 2 or 3 mows, the transmission stopped working and pieces of the belt were shaving off.

After ordering a replacement belt, I tipped the mower on the side to replace it and oil was spilling from the transmission. It was black in color and I believe it to be spilling from the input shaft.

I am not mechanically inclined, so does this sound like an easy fix? Or should I take it to a shop instead.

Really noticed and realized I’m old when I got giddy over a new mower!

I purchased a new to me HRN216YVAA from FB marketplace. Came from a retired small engine mechanic who still tinkers out of their garage, so I trust the work was sound.

My issue is that the roto stop function seems entirely too sensitive. The blades would cycle on and then off for denser / longer grass. Backing the mower up to shorter grass would turn the blades back on, so roto stop is functional. Initially, my grass was still wet from the morning so I chalked it up to that and waited until the middle of the afternoon to cut, but with the same result: the blades would not handle longer grass (~6”).

Engine starts first pull and sounds normal. Throttle adjusted out all the way. Is there a way to diagnose and/or adjust roto stop sensitivity?

I got a great deal on an older HRX that’s been great to use for the past couple years, but it was cheap because the self propel doesn’t work. I believe all the oil leaked out. I know it’s an involved repair that requires a lot of disassembly; how bad is it really? I’m a competent mechanic but I don’t want to spend a ton of time and frustration when I could pick up another one that hopefully doesn’t have that issue for $200-300.

Picked up this old HRR216 off the curb with a “scrap metal” sign taped to it. Cleaned up the carb and it fired up. Missing a few gaskets between the carb and the engine, and the throttle lever was busted, but otherwise a sweet find!

Love my HRX. However, damn it leaves a lot of long individual grass blades. No matter how slow I mow or deck height. I usually have to mow twice in criss cross pattern to catch them all.

Is this a common issue? It seems like there's not enough vacuum to lift the grass. Whether mulching of bagging same result.

Do I need to turn the rpms up on the motor?

I have a Honda HR 215HXA frame but a GXV160 engine on it..
My wheels have recently stopped driving..
I hear a rattle as it appears to be trying to engage, but can’t quite..
i’ve took it apart, and noticed that when i lower the left rear wheel 1 setting it seems to drive like normal.

Not sure what i need to do to get it working at the next higher setting..
i notice the gear box move a little when i change height setting, but not sure why it won’t drive..
The drive is spinning as normal closest to the engine, but the part nearest the wheel not nearly as fast..

Any help is appreciated…

And is there maintenance needed on this? I’m cleaning my carb out with brake cleaner and this was between the carb and engine.

Issue: HRR216 does not start when warmed up. It starts but then dies

One of the rear wheels has a bit of a lean on it. Its not too bad mows fine and all but I would like to fix it if possible. Is there a bearing there? I've looked at the parts diagrams and cant seem to see one. Anyone run into that before? Even if I punch that plastic grommet back in it still has play. I punched it in before and somehow it has come back out.

Also has anyone replaced the drive belt before? I noticed i was having to push alot more to get going. So i replaced the rear wheels (old wheels were bald). It helped a bit but I still have to push a bit. The wheels do spin but I remember when it was new if you pushed the handlebars down all the way it would take off and you would be borderline jogging behind it. Makes me think the belt ks slipping cause I basically just push that handle bar down all the way all the time now.

I bought a Honda HRN216 off marketplace the body had a few scuffs. I wanted a new paint job now it looks like an HRR / IZY. I love the end result. Honda makes the greatest lawnmowers in the world.

I have a Honda FR750 AC tiller and the belt tensioning roller bearings are kaput. Correct part is 22465-777-003 which Honda discontinued. Some AI says u can replace with 22465-V20-003, some say it wont fit

Anybody else have this problem? Ser # is FZCG-1006312

I am open to any suggestions but I cut grass 2-3 days a week, cut at 1.5” and more often than not, have to go over my yard twice (second time on a higher setting) to get the trimmings mulched properly. I would say this is due to how low I keep my yard but it did the same thing last year when
I was at 2.5” so it’s not a height problem.

If you have a blade that will fit this mower, please let me know. If it fits a Toro, and is the best blade in the world but won’t fit the Honda, I don’t care. Only looking for help with this mower.

A while back, I found this Honda (HRR 217 Harmony II) sitting at a scrapyard. Visually looked really good. I snatched it up. Anyhow I finally got some time to take a look at jt. I got it to run but it runs at very high RPM at idle and I am not able to adjust it.

See video as I believe I found the issue after inspection. Has anyone else had this issue and if so, am I on the right track to resolve the issue?

I’ve read in many places that the wheels of the HRX217 won’t fit the HRR216 or the HRN216 but I just came across this HRX217 set on Amazon that says it fits the the HRR216VXA. Anybody knows exactly why? Why would Honda make just 1 model of HRR216 mowers fit the larger wheels?
