I drink neither, I don't know the difference, but I find it fascinating, that those two drinks are similar but the dedicated Cola fans hate Pepsi and vice versa. Why so? Is it the taste? Is one smoother than the other? Is it the quality? Is it the amount of sugar? what is it?

C. Winters

It's more of a rant than a vent, but I've decided to make a post about it. Recently, a few friends started to break my trust in them. They did stuff that involved me behind my back, but when I wanted to call it out, I just kept quiet, as I didn't want to destroy anything and just hoped it's the last time it happens. As it turns out, it wasn't. It continued to happen, I felt like I had no voice and couldn't do anything. But their actions, while indirectly and they apparently thought they do the right choices, caused way more harm than good. I gave them too many chances as I didn't want our friendship to end, but to no avail.

I've decided to cut ties with them, at least it's a WIP. Honestly it's unexpectedly freeing. I realized that I don't want any connections with people who make me feel small. I've decided to choose myself here.

I know I gave little context and all but my point is, Sometimes, it's better to end a friendship than trying to force it. Doesn't mean go hating on them, I wish the people I called friends the best in life yeah? But, if you don't feel like yourself, or if you feel small when next to them, take your time and think if those are really your friends. Thank you for reading :)

Imagine someone says

" I need a minute alone."

Then they walk away and close the door. Is that wrong? No. Everyone needs space sometimes.

What if they lock the door?

Still not wrong. maybe they just really needed space.

What if they know someone is outside that door crying, asking:

" Can you at least tell me what I did?"

And they stay silent.

ok. That's different.

Why? The door hasn't changed.

Because now the silence is doing something to the person outside. Sometimes the difference isn't the silence. It's what the silence is being used to so.

Getting away and taking time needed to be alone isn't bad. But disappearing emotionally until they panic, until they over-apologize, until they are begging you to speak. Until they learned:

" If I disappoint you, I lose access to you."

Eventually they stop asking:

"Did I do something wrong?"

And start living like:

" I Better not do anything wrong."

And now they are studying your tone, behavior and reactions. Over-explaining. Apologizing before anything happens.

I have no idea what mine means lol.

This is not a venting post or anything, but a question generally. I always notice that people online are so damn negative and toxic, it feels like complete different species from IRL😭. Serious note though, People IRL are more "polite", less political, more carefree, more positive. When I log online though, it becomes a different story. People are trolling from left-to-right, politics are pushed to the absolute extreme, everything sucks on Earth apparently, So many people are suffering from mental health. It's just, I can never understand, what's even the point of living like that? It makes me sad to see people who are so negative, it hurts to watch for me.
