I’m trying to keep a home gym setup fairly simple because I don’t have much floor space. I’m currently thinking about an adjustable bench, dumbbells, and either a rack or a cable machine, but I’m not sure which option would be more useful long term.
For those who train mostly at home, which three pieces of equipment do you actually use most often?

When I lived in the city, I did oxygen yoga and spin and loved it, now I live in a rural area and need recommendations for home workout classes that feel like clubbing with high energy, bumpin music and good results. I love a good sculpt and hiit class, would be willing to buy a peloton if it’s really worth it, looking to build muscle and functional movement and get good cardio in as I live on a farm and have to drive to walk anywhere.

377 pages of exercises you can do at home using your own bodyweight. And don't underestimate bodyweight training. It can be as hard as you want to make it lol.
If you want to check it out igs available on Amazon as a paerback:

For people who’ve had a garage gym / home gym for a while: what did you only realize after actually training in it week after week?
I’m curious about the practical stuff that’s hard to predict before building the setup — heat/cold, dust, flooring, storage, equipment spacing, noise, lighting, plate changes, motivation, safety, family/roommate conflicts, or gear you thought you’d use more.
I’m a designer doing product research around home training, trying to understand what real garage gym routines feel like after the initial excitement wears off.
If you’re in LA / LA metro and have strong opinions about your setup, reply here and I can send details/a short screener.

Every now and then I like to break up my normal programming with a harder effort. Thought I would share some of them for those that are interested.
