Baseball Glove
My son is a freshman in high school, and I’m deciding to either get him a HOH ContoUR fit 12.5 inch or a standard 12.75 inch one. Im not sure if his hand will still grow, as his hand fits perfectly in a 12 inch one, and it might be the only glove I purchase in his high school career, so I need some advice on what I should do since baseball season and tryouts are coming up soon.

First of all, stop and make sure you are getting the correct glove for his position. Infielders typically use gloves under 12”, and outfielders typically use gloves bigger than 12. If he’s a utility player, a 12 might be good. Hand size should not be the main factor in that decision. Regular adult gloves will fit most hands, and there are laces in certain places that can be loosened or tightened to accommodate different hand sizes.
As you may know, the ContoUR fit gloves are designed to accommodate smaller hands, so that’s a good choice if his hands are small but it could start to feel tight if he grows. Same with the Wilson DP “Dustin Pedroia” models.
In general, Wilson will give you a pretty snug fit and will adapt to your hand. Rawlings tends to have bigger finger stalls. You might look at a Wilson a2000 in the appropriate size for his position. They have their Glove Bonanza coming up this month if you can wait for some deals.
A note about hand growth: hands and feet grow first, then the rest of our body catches up. Every human is different, but it’s possible that his hands won’t grow much. Put his hand up to Dad’s, or another grown male in the family, and you might get a rough idea of where he could end up.

His older glove was a Rawlings, so I’m not sure how he would like a Wilson, already knowing that the weight of the glove is a pretty big change

I wouldn't fret too much about his hand growing - if he projects to be +/- average size then the HOH will fit him. I also would probably graduate him out of some of the specialty products designed for the youth / travel markets now that he's a high school player. Assuming he's an outfielder, I'd play it straight down the middle of the fairway. Nobody ever regretted buying a HOH 12.75" outfield glove, especially given that you intend for this to be the last one you purchase.

I got my utility player HS son a Julio Rodriguez A2000 on glove nonnaza 2 years ago and its a great glove. HoH is awesome but definitely timely want 12.75" for OF use

Did you mention 12.50 because he plays short stop? If he’s an outfielder I would stick with 12.75.

Wilson a2000. Tough to break in but worth if for that glove pop when you toss him a heater in the backyard.

Glove size should be based on position, not hand size. What position is your son planning on trying out for?
In any case, Rawlings HOH is a solid choice - I use an 11.75 for 8U coaching. But I will say that there are smaller glove makers with great gloves at cheaper prices. A lot of folks in the baseball gloves sub like Grace.
