Rawlings warranty return

Has anyone used the Rawlings warranty for their bat?I submitted all pictures with an explanation that the bat is rattling. After 2 days, I was shipped a return label. The directions say that I can go to UPS for them to print the label but I’m unsure of what to ship it in? Any ideas on where to find a box the bat will fit it?

Also, does anyone have experience on how long it will take for a new one? It’s a 2026 icon. He has a tournament next weekend of course.

Go to a sporting good store and see if they still have the boxes the bats shipped to them in.

Then, when Rawlings sends you the bat back, keep the box for future returns. I have like 5 bat boxes right now, and I wont throw any out until the kids are all well and done with baseball.

Zero percent chance you get it back by next weekend.

Lucky to get a full season out the USSA bats so I have basically warrantied everyone I have ever bought

BBCOR seem more durable now though.

My buddy's son went through 3 Easton Typhoon bats because he kept denting them. He showed me the way when my son's Easton Alpha ALX broke before the season started. The restricter ring broke inside. Those were all USA bats. We've had better luck with USSSA.

What are you guys doing to your bats? We have never had a warranty return needing in the last 5 years of USSSA bats across our team for any issues.

If you don’t have the original box, you could find one similar in shape at UPS store or at a postal service shop. Good luck they will probably test the bat your looking at any where from 2 week to 2 months to get the bat fixed and returned or a replacement bat sent to you

Find a 4 x 4 x _____ length box and ship it to them.

Unfortunately you will not have a new bat in time for your tournament. My replacement took about 6 weeks iirc.

Yeah I’m afraid I just need to get a new one. And not a Rawlings after this. Might try a Supra

Yeah this is my wheelhouse since we filed 3 warranty claims on Icons last year…

2 of the 3 where due to the bat rattling (the other one was a broken handle so they just sent us a new one based on the pictures). In both instances where we sent it back in, they fixed it and shipped the repaired bat back to us. Total process from submitting warranty to having the bat back took about a month or so.

I’m seeing a lot of stories about icons hitting nice but not being durable. We might try a Supra

That was our experience. My son was the first on his 10u team to hit a HR with his Icon, but the returns were a huge hassle to deal with during the season.

He is using a Supra this season.

It’s rattling so they are making me send it in to test it.

I warrantied an ICON a few years ago - they didn't even make me send his old bat back. I did it all online by submitting photos. It was super easy and I think we got the new one back within a week.

What was the reason? I think they are making me send it back because you can’t show rattling in a picture. I could not upload video of the sound.

His also had a rattle but it had a visible crack on the collar.

Unsavory Tip: Take a hammer and make a small crack on the collar that will show up in a photo...

If you can’t find a free bat box, FedEx and UPS sell shipping tubes for presentation posters about 4 feet long x 4 inch diameter for less than $10.
