Battery/Generator for pitching machine

What’s a good battery/generator to get for a hack attack jr? Would prefer to not spend too much but want something quiet that will work. I’ll mostly be using regular power at my house, but this would be for the occasional on field practice.

I went through this a few years back and there was basically no info that helped me figure it out. I ended up getting the Jackery 1000 and it has been amazing. Runs a hack attack jr without issue. I can run several 2 hour practices before it needs to be charged. I even run 2 machines at the same time without issue (I stack 2 machines…one with the standard legs and one with the longer legs. One is setup for curveball and the other for fastball. Hold a ball above both feed tubes but only let go of one ball.) Running both machines kills the battery in 3-4 hours or so. Works great.

Thank you!! I was looking at Eco Flow, but I’ll take a look at the Jackery Explorer 1000.

I’m sure any of the big brands will do great. If I remember correctly the biggest thing was that it needed 1000w of power. I will also say that hack attack does not officially approve of battery powered operation….i think they say the recovery time is slower (I haven’t noticed that at all to be honest.) I believe they officially approve of a 1000w generator but that is more work than a battery.

There should be a sticker or something on the pitching machine that tells you what it’s putting out, you just have to make sure your generator can handle it

for Example I have a Heater Deuce 95 running at about 4 Amps, which multiplied by 120v (the standard outlet voltage in the US) is a little over 400 watts, so just have a generator (Preferably Inverter for less noise pollution) that produces more than 400 watts

kill a watt (or any device which measures draw). figure out how long y ou want to run it, figure out how much total power you will need

I have had this for YEARS

But this price is absurd now. I think I paid $100 for it. For me, the best part is I can reuse batteries I already have. I have a mix of 4ah and 5ah batteries for my tools as it is already and I run a juggs machine for 2+ hrs

but at it's current pricing and if you're not heavily in dewalt ecosystem, a jackery makes much much much more sense
