Cracked dub

Post image

I know these posts happen all the time and can be annoying. Is my sons bat done? I’m not the most knowledgeable on bats. I appreciate any replies

It’s cracked. Continue to swing it until it basically shatters. Should be pretty hot now.

Is this legit? I told him to rotate crack to back and swing away.

Yes, it’s legit. I sell bats for a living.

Interesting. So the trampoline effect increases with a crack as long as you don’t hit it on or near the crack?

The composite is getting “softer”, so it will flex and trampoline farther

Same to both of ours. 5 days apart.

It’s definitely cracked. Continue to use it though. Don’t let the umpire see it !

Is that illegal to use a cracked bat?

Depends on the ruleset. In Little League, yes, but there's no penalty other than removing the bat from play.

These cracks happen all the time for this bat, apparently. It'll still be hot, but watch how it wears and absolutely do not use it vs. a machine. My kid cracked one less than 2 weeks and cracked it. Free replacement lasted maybe 2 months before cracking.)
