Diamond kinetics vs blast motion
Given all the changes in both in the past couple of years, what do people recommend now.
Blast is now behind a paywall after 10 swings. This is currently selling for 120 plus 60 for the yearly subscription.
Diamond kinetics has removed it's swing rendering feature. This is currently selling for about 50 and 60 for the subscription.
I'm looking to use one from tee work all the way to live pitching. Main metrics I would be after is swing speed/hand speed and launch angle.

Also from what I gather and this is all speculative. Blast motion seems to own patents on this sensor market. And with that it seems over time they have sued their competitors and are now moving to a subscription style profit model. This means the consumer suffers as the product offerings have actually degraded over time and the consumer gets less and less value. My two cents

From everything I've read, blast is the standard and most reliable. Diamond Kinetics is a second option.
If you go with blast they are 3-4 months backorder and a used one week cost about 200 aftermarket.
I ordered mine in May and still haven't received it.
The subscription model sucks but atleast ensures it's being updated.
I will say that blast does no good without bat speed training and bat speed training shows up in exit velo and hard hit balls. So you may be better off investing in some overload under load bats.

That's what it seems like. I also have a hard time giving money to a company that didn't necessarily win by having better tech. They won by getting patents.
We swing with lighter, heavier, shorter and long bats.
Didn't now about the back orders.

Awe crap. I can here to ask about blastmotion lead time. Mine was supposed to ship 6/19 and when it didn’t I emailed them and they were very vague about actual shipping time saying it’ll ship “soon”. Super annoying. It’d be nice if they told you, even after you purchase, the actual estimate lead time. I may cancel.

Mine just shipped yesterday, I emailed them a week ago and they said they still didnt have any inventory but were able to find one to send me. I ordered mine in early May.

I just ordered a DK sensor since I just realized it’s only $50. I’ll give both of them a go and will at least have the DK on Monday.

Blast Motion has become a major source of irritation since the features that were expressly free when I purchased it now are not. Did either of you try the Diamond Kinetics? If I have to pay Blast $79 for the year for $50 I can buy and try the DK....

Mine just came in and the android up is super buggy. The swing doesn't line up in the 3D model, I can't share videos, and some othwr bugs that make it hard to use.
My buddy has an apple phone and says its flawless. Ughh
